We bought a firm mattress back in Aug and had been struggling with adjusting to it ever since. I had the bright idea to buy a 3 inch memory foam topper, which I loved, but my husband revealed to me a month later than he hadn't had a good night sleep in weeks. I was very bummed and tried to adjust to the mattress without it again (almost did, but still needed something cushy on top). I found this mattress pad and was hoping it would be the answer. Thank goodness it was!! It is cushy without having the sinking feeling of memory foam (which is the part my husband hated). We have both slept great ever since buying it and are relieved that we don't need to buy another mattress.

Bought this to slightly soften a brand new 'plush firm' mattress, with the emphasis on 'firm.' The pillowtop on this mattress pad did the trick -- it's finally 'just right' (as Goldilocks would say). It washed up beautifully and fit the full-size (deep) mattress really well. I would buy this again.

Ordered this for my select comfort bed with 3 inches of memory foam atop. The skirt surrounded a very thick mattress to make this the frosting on the cake. Excellent materials and manufacture and I believe half the price of what I've seen at the local brick and mortar. Sorry Neighbors. This is a deal.
When I put this pad on my bed, the whole thing was flat like someone had already used it and then returned it. The edges around the pad were nice and fluffy, just what I thought the whole pad would be. There was never any pillow top pad. I am really disappointed with this mattress pad. When it comes to a mattress pad I would suggest that you go to a store and look at it before you order on line.
The quality is not bad. I just expected the pad to be thicker. My bed is already hard, I thought this pad will add softness to it. But it does not. Very disappointed. I just don't want to go through the trouble of returning the item. It's very hard to buy these products on line since we don't get to try it out. I bought it based on the reviews, but everyone has different opinions.
I bought two of these to replace old ones on our two XL twin beds. These mattress pads are substantial and soft and have really nice elastic skirts that keep them in place very well. They do not shift during use. They washed very well. I never use anything without washing it first. They are so thick that it took a while to dry almost completely and then I allowed them to finish air drying overnight. There was no shrinkage and no shifting of the padding inside. Overall these are excellent mattress pads at a very reasonable price. I believe one review mentioned that they are noisy when you sleep on them. Not sure what that is about, but they are only soft and have nothing that would make any crunching or crackling sound…they haven't made any sounds for us at all!
Well I sure am glad I didn't change my mind after reading some of the other "negative" reviews! This mattress pad is outstanding. So thick and comfy. Exactly what I was looking for. Best purchase in a while and awesome price! Not sure I could find something this nice anywhere else for this low of a price. And by the way, I do not hear it in any way when I roll around. Nor my husband. Extremely comfortable! Perfect for summer or winter in Phoenix Az.
This was exactly what I was looking for - something that added comfort to my bed but wasn't made of down or foam. The product fits perfectly and has done WONDERS for my sleep comfort! Just the right amount of padding. Also, it fits the bed well (Full) - and the corners fit tight over the edges so no movement....and GREAT PRICE!
This is my second purchase, I had the 300 count version which is no longer available so I bought this hoping I'd be just as happy and it's even better than the last one. This won't turn your mattress into something it's not, but it will add snuggly softness to it. I have a sleep number bed which is already really comfortable but the mattress pad adds protection as well as just enough fluffiness and softness to make it extra hard to get up in the morning. There isn't enough padding in this to change the mechanics of your bed, so some of the reviews here are kind of baffling. It's a mattress pad that just makes it feel like there's a layer of softness between your sheets and your bed rather than the feel of sheets on top of rough mattress fabric. I think some people are looking for miracles in the wrong place.
Wonderful mattress pad, in Twin XL needed for college dorm. Provides much-needed thicker padding to a plastic-upholstered, hard mattress! This is NOT "memory foam," which holds in body heat and becomes uncomfortably warm. It is just as described in the Product Description. Haven't had it long enough to test durability, but it appears very well-made, much like pads we've laundered many times without problems.
Bought this for my sons very hard dorm bed. I actually put a 2 inch memory foam pad on hard mattress and then put this Pillowtop Mattress Pad on top of both. Gotta say, it's really comfortable! It all fit perfectly on his XL twin bed. Bought both Memory Foam and Pillowtop Pads from Overstock for less than $**! Shipping was also very fast.
This is a mattress pad BUT MORE! The pillowtop feature is excellent. We were sleeping on a regular mattress and I was having severe back & hip pain before we got this. We are only in this bed temporarily while we are doing some renovations so I didn't want to buy a new mattress & box spring. This did the trick AND it was so reasonable! LOVE IT!
The mattress pad is as advertised. Nice lofty fill, no ugly smells, keeps shape well, and adds a nice additional cushion to our pillowtop mattress. I don't think this would make an otherwise hard mattress "comfy," but it does make an excellent addition to the bed if you already have a soft but firm feel to your mattress.

We had a Tempurpedic (foam block) mattress that, after about a year of use, felt a bit too firm for us. I searched for pillow-top mattress pads - and found the Damask Stripe to be the best value based on the description. On its arrival my wife and I were impressed with the high quality appearance and materials used. The padding could be a bit thicker, but the amount provided has significantly improved the comfort of our mattress. Added to a bit less-firm mattress, this pad would be perfect. For very firm mattresses, don't expect too much from any topper pad.
