I live in Washington and I do not like to be hot at night, however my wife likes to be very warm. This comforter is the best for both worlds. I am using it in may with 75 degree weather, and I am still doing ok. IT is great material and very very fluffy. Great deal for the price and I did a lot of shopping. Would buy another one if I ever needed it...
Will be using this in RV on cold West Coast nights. The comforter is beautiful and even better quality than I expected! I got the King size for an RV queen - no need for dust ruffle. Absolutely no unpleasant odor and air cycle on dryer fluffed to a plump, cozy thickness. LOVE IT!!!
i am pleased with how fast the comforter fluffed up to its full size (less than 2 days), and was also happy to see that the few splotches of light I could see through the comforter at first are now gone once I allowed it to lay out. the fabric quality is excellent and no feathers have come through.
I am about to buy this comforter for the second time. I bought my first one Jan '05 and absolutly LOVE it. I use it all year long. It's cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The material is crisp cotton and feels so good against my skin. I was so happy to see that Overstock still sells it!! It's suposed to be dryclean only but I toss it in the washer with bleach and dry it in the dryer...and it still looks great...
I'm a comforter fanatic so when it came time to replace one of mine I was a little nervous about getting it without looking at it. It's just that comforters vary so much, I didn't want to get stuck with a bomb. Based on reviews I went ahead and purchased a king. WOW. The BEST comforter I have eevr had. HIgh quality, perfect middle-wieght for year long use, soft as air down. Pair this with a 600TC duvet ( the egyptian ones here are great) and the Super Snooze 5-inch Baffled Featherbed (I did!) and I SWEAR you will never want to get out of bed again.
I'm an Economist, so believe me when I say that I have done my research. This is a wonderful goose down comforter. May I also add that my comforter didn't have a foul odder to it upon arrival and the feathers have not yet poked me. I would strongly recommend this 600 thread count goose down comforter! I would like to thank everyone who has previously reviewed this product; their input was well taken into consideration. I hope this helps, best of luck!
I've been trying to duplicate the bedding my husband and I have enjoyed at The Peninsula in Chicago, as well as many of the JW Marriott resorts. The comforters at these fine hotels are fabulous! This comforter makes our bed feel like we are in a luxury hotel. And the price is great - believe me - I've done my research! Buy it and enjoy it!
I received this comforter as a gift this past Christmas, and I am so floored at how comfortable, cozy, and luxurious this item really is! After a hard day at work, the gym, cleaning house, laundry, etc, I just can't WAIT to crawl into my soft, warm bed, topped off by this fabulous comforter. I highly recommend this product to everyone. This one will definitely get worn out before traded in. Very classy looking.
This is the third comforter I have bought through O.com. I have always been impressed with the quality. The particular comforter is no exception. Its fine quality. It is definitely a mid-weight construction. So far it seems to be rather durable as well. It is attractive enough to be used without a duvet, but really with O.com available, why on earth would anyone want to miss out on a fashionable duvet?
I'm very pleased with the quality of the comforter. The fabric is dense so that there are not any feathers sticking through like I've seen in lesser quality comforters but at similar prices. It is also heavier than any I've purchased before.
I ordered on Monday and was sleeping under this gorgeous piece of work by Thursday night! I also ordered the Milano 800 Thread Count Stripe Duvet Cover Set to go with this comfortor, and it arrived at the same time. The two products fit together like they were made for each other. The fabric on the comfortor is beautifully woven, and there are no bits of feather escaping thus far. My picky husband said "NO DOWN COMFORTER" because he was just sure that he'd get poked by sharp little feather bits. But he LOVES this comforter, and so do I. It looks so much more expensive than it was, which in my opinion makes it a great value.
I read many reviews and did a lot of "google" searches before I decided on this one. I am truly glad that I chose this comforter. The only thing that I was concerned about was that some people mentioned that it was a bit flat. I draped the comforter out on my deck railing as soon as I opened the box and left it outside for a few hours. I gave it a real good shake before before I brought it in and it was very fluffy and cozy. It's way too hot to sleep with now (100), but I'm looking forward to the fall now so that I can use it again.
I like this comforter quite a bit, and it's a good deal for the thread count. The only problem I had was that the "box" squares weren't equally filled with down. The ones around the edges are super poofy, while the ones in the middle are quite a bit thinner. I tried "shaking" the down from the edges to the center, but to no avail.
i've owned many down comforters and i must say, this one is the best i've ever had. besides having a high fill power it is just the right amount of down. this is the warmest comforter i've ever had. even at 3 times the price it would be worth it. don't pass this up!
