It says dimensions are 86x86. Are these the actual fabric dimensions or the dimensions of the comforter it can cover? I have a comforter that is 86x86, and if your cover is exactly the same size I think it will be a little small.

I love this duvet cover. It washed easily, goes on the down comforter easily and it has for the most part stayed in tact for the past 4 years since I bought it. It did finally lose one button that closes the side up, but that's to be expected after 4 years of constant use and 2 kids jumping on it! I loved it so much that I actually just ordered the sheet set made by the same duvet cover brand. 600TC. Same as the duvet cover. I have high hopes that they will also last as long as the cover has :)Read More
Highly disappointed with this cover. Was supposed to be a King size. It barely fits just the top on my regular size King mattress. No drape over the sides or bottom!Read More
Sheets were nice, soft and thick, but the color was not going to work for me. The off white was really off white almost tan.Read More
I purchased this set from Overstock 2 years ago- but I can tell you two years later I'm not impressed. It lost sheen quickly and wasn't very soft. Was just okay. I suppose a higher thread count would be better -which is what i'll buy next.Read More
The material of the duvet cover feels smooth and looks good on the bed. I am pleased by is appearance.Read More
After reading the reviews, Im slightly in shock that some are surprised about wrinkles after getting it out of the dryer, wow - its damask - thats kind of understood, and also if you iron it , the appearance is totaly different, takes 2 min to do the pilllows and ten for the duvet. Its a beautiful luxury material and it looks great. Great price for an excellent product.Read More
Great duvet at a great price. Very soft and looks nice too. Overstock offers very fast shipping and excellent customer service.Read More
The duvet looks great. The striping really makes it look exquisite and expensive. Just a note, I have a piilowtop mattress with no box spring but my bed is pretty high. The queen duvet could be a little short on the sides if you want your duvet to stop 1/2 way on your bed. I didn't want a long duvet because i would prefer showing the legs of my bed. Just something to think about. So if you have a high bed and you want to cover most of the sides, you may want to go with the king.Read More
I am very particular about my bedding. I've been spoiled by staying in some very nice hotels and I love quality bedding. I shopped around on Overstock.com to find just the right kind of duvet cover to suit my needs. It wasn't easy to find one with a good thread count (high, not too high, as I didn't want the cover to be too heavy), at a good price, with good reviews, in white. But I finally settled on this one and I love it! It is not too crisp and it is soft and smooth. It has a beautiful expensive sheen to the fabric finish, and the stripes give it a little extra something that plain covers do not have. I have cats that love to sleep (and shed) on my bed and their fur doesn't seem to stick to it. I bought a queen size and it fit my queen sized duvet perfectly. Love the shams.....the whole set is of excellent quality. I wish it had a matching bedskirt! You can't go wrong with this set!Read More
I wish I knew that before I ordered. After washing the duvet and pillow cases were terribly wrinkled and not soft at all. I think they shrunk quite a bit as well. I do not buy bedding expecting to iron it! Later I read on the cotton industry website that thread count is not all that matters, there are many other factors to consider. So from now on I know not to waste my money on "bargains."Read More

Duvets vs Down Comforters
A new duvet or down comforter is a fast, easy way to change the look of your bedroom decor. These bed coverings can also keep you warm and toasty on a cold winter's night. Traditionally, the word duvet, a French word meaning "down," was interchangeable with down comforter. Today, however, when most Americans say the word duvet, they are actually referring to a duvet cover. Duvet covers are made to slip over many different types of comforters, whereas a down comforter can be used as a standalone bed covering. Take a look at this article to learn more about the differences between duvets and down comforters.

Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
Best Duvet Covers for Each Season
For those who use duvet blankets year-round, duvet covers allow you to change patterns and color to match every season. Along with the decor of the bedroom, a duvet cover may enhance the ambiance of the entire room or supply it with rich colors and textures for the ultimate comfort factor. If you purchased an expensive duvet, covering it throughout the year will keep it in good shape and allow you to wash it without compromising the batting. Look below to learn the best duvet covers for each season. Spring: Once the evenings start warming up, lighter fabrics like satin provide sheen and style to any bedroom. Satin duvet covers are most often comprised of fabrics like nylon, rayon or silk to provide durability as well as comfort. For spring, lighter colors, including pastels or variations of cream and beige, brighten the room. Summer: During warm summer nights, cotton duvets are one of the most common fabric choices. Light and airy, cotton is also easy to clean and comes in virtually every color and pattern. For the summer season, try a white duvet cover, which will make the room appear more open and spacious. A cotton blend that contains polyester is also an ideal choice for summer, because it is soft, requires simple washing and does not wrinkle. Fall: For the fall season, a duvet cover that is warm enough for intermittent chilly nights is an ideal choice. Microsuede duvet covers offer a soft feel to bedding and come in a variety of colors. This material is easy to care for and machine washable. For fall, choose earthy colors like beige, brown, dark green or burgundy for a seasonal look. Winter: A luxurious duvet cover is a favorite option for warmth during the winter months. Velvet is a soft fabric that comes in a variety of rich colors and provides plenty of insulation for cold nights. The luxurious texture looks good in any style of room decor. For winter months, choose deep, rich colors like burgundy, plum, forest green or chocolate to enhance the room. View All Duvet Covers Back to Guides Directory View All Duvet Covers
