These are possibly seconds as after the first week, I washed it and as I was putting it back on the bed, the side ripped. I have now sent it back for a refund, disappointing as I have had some wonderful merchandise from Overstock.com I will not let this faze me from buying from them in the future.
It was a cotton top as advertised (everything else was acrylic I think) but the fabric was so coarse and cheap that the ratty old one I had on the bed was better so I sent it back. Note: I paid twice as much for the one I finally got which is entirely cotton including the batting. Lesson: You get what you pay for.
When looking for a mattress pad for our new king-sized bed, I wasn't about to pay $80. As always, I turned to o.com and started looking. I depend on reviews almost more than anything else, and this product got very good ones. I am not disappointed; fits well, a bit of padding for comfort, and, as always, a great price!
I picked this particular mattress pad because it was not waterproof, as those seemed hot and sweaty, and also it was stain-resistant. I was warned by a friend (after I bought it) that these mattress pads from Overstock.com don't hold up well, but I haven't had it long enough to tell. However, I did wash it at a commercial laundromat (front loading) in warm water, perm press cycle, no bleach, and tumble dried it on Low, and it came out fine. I suspect my friend may not have been careful in laundering. The pad does not tolerate high heat or agitating from top-loading washing machines.
I'm very pleased with this purchase because it lived up to the description. I have a very wide pillow-top mattress and haven't been able to find mattress pads that fit. This one fits like it was custom-made for my mattress. It was a great buy and worth every penney I spent for it.
The Croscill Prima Cotton 400 TC Mattress Pad is well made, fits our Queen Mattress very well, stays in place and is very comfortable. Unlike our old mattress pad, it does not cause me to feel too warm, (don't know what made me overheat with the old one), and it was reasonably priced. My wife and I are very pleased with the purchase and plan to get others for our guest rooms. (I like to use the word, "very" and would rate this Croscill pad as "Very Good," if that option had been provided.)
This mattress pad was purchased to cover a standard mattress plus a 4 inch foam topper. It fits on easily and doesn't shift around during the night. The fabric is soft. The sides have a lot of elastic and so it was very easy to put on. This item was a great value.
I needed a new mattress pad (after 5+ years of my old one). I couldn't believe how much of a difference a new one makes! I has enough stretch to cover a deep mattress, but tight enough to keep the pad taut against the mattress. Price should never be an issue when it comesto a comfortable nights sleep.
I would have given this five stars except it's just a little crinkly and rustles somewhat, but perhaps after a couple washings that will improve. Otherwise, it's well padded, comfortable, and does the job. It fits an 11" memory foam mattress perfectly and likely could fit an even thicker mattress. What more can you say about a mattress pad?
Generally I am a bit dissapointed over the quality of materials on the product compared with a prior purchase from the same maker. Pros: The padportion itself is of good quality, smooth and nice to the touch, though thinner than expected. It remains a good fit for my pillow top mattress. This will not move off the bed and there was enough excess to tuck underneath. Ideal for a CA queen since this style is easy to put on when doing the job by yourself. Cons: The underside of the pad has some crinkly stiff material. It looks like it won't make a first wash. The expandable sides are the same in style as the prior model but this is like woven paper in texture. The image shown on-line appears more like the prior model which was a solid cotton fabric.
