I ordered 3 different sets/styles for my king size bed. The first set (different style) had a flaw I discovered upon arrival, the second set (different style) was just "okay." But this set, in gray, is a total waste of money. I laundered them upon arrival, prior to placing them on my bed last weekend. After sleeping on them for one week (just me....I am single), the bottom sheet is full of "pills." This makes the sheet feel "gritty" and totally not acceptable. I would not recommend these sheets to anyone. You're better off buying Sofia Vergara 100% cotton sheets from K-Mart. (no pilling after several washings). I've been a customer for several years and have been pleased with the majority of items I have purchased form Overstock. But I struck out totally on these three sets of sheets, even though all of them were different brands and different styles. Not a happy shopper. :-(Read More
I spent too much time shopping online for all-cotton sheets in a moss green color, then this set appeared. I have myself to blame for not reading 100% of the description this time because the terminology "Cotton Rich" and "400 thread count" do not mean that these sheets will be All Cotton! They are only 60% cotton and feel like you could bounce them on the floor. I was stunned and mad at myself but in the interest of time, I had to use them. They are for a guest bedroom and so no one has used them yet. They are shiny and not what I'd call moss-green but more of an 'evening grass green.' However, the color issue bothers me less than the use of "Cotton Rich" in the headlines for this ad. I just feel it's misleading to call a 60/40 cotton/poly product "cotton rich!" Anyway, I'm rarely perturbed with Overstock so I make allowances but now I've got to study their ads way more carefully because this one was misleading from my standpoint.Read More

FAQs about Sateen Sheets
Sateen sheets are high-quality sheets woven in the same way as traditional satin. Unlike satin, sateen sheets are made with more common fibers, such as cotton. Sateen sheets are soft to the touch and allow skin to slide smoothly into bed. Sateen sheets are available in very high thread counts, and as such, are quite durable. Take a look below for some of the most frequently asked questions about sateen sheets.
Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
