Other reviews were a bit misleading, I thought, because the sheets are soft enough, but not amazingly soft. Just average on softness. They seem like the type that will soften over time. They also do not wrinkle in the dryer, which makes them look great! We have a Simmons Olympic queen that's about 8 years old. Fit great!Read More
I had searched for sheets for our olympic queen size bed we bought years ago believing the idea would be a sweeping hit only to find the size was not marketed well and has not taken off. Olympic sheets are not found at my local stores. That said, when I found a higher count sheet that I could justify the price, I bought them. Waited patiently for them to arrive only to not be able to get them onto the bed! Three corners does not a fitted sheet make. The color was nice and they seemed they would be a soft place to land at the end of the day but I would never know. Had to return them. The idea of having to pay for return shipping on an item that did not meet the standard (on a basic level) is aggravating and will be a consideration of future purchases. I cannot speculate on long term wear or shrinkage as, by miracle would have it I wanted to be sure they fit before washing them the first time!Read More
The sheets are well made. The 600 count feels great I have washed them several times now and they still come out soft and unwrinkled. Even my husband likes them and he rarely comments about sheets. The only disappointment is that they only come in white. I'd order more if other colors were available.Read More
These sheets are SO great feeling... honestly - I am so glad to get into them at night and when I wake up I love moving around, they just feel great. I've washed them once and saw no shrinkage - they are ample for my over-sized/thick mattress. The sateen finish is SO much different than straight cotton, it's slicker and feels delicious. I don't think I'll ever buy straight cotton sheets again. The sateen finish is just wonderful.Read More

FAQs about Sateen Sheets
Sateen sheets are high-quality sheets woven in the same way as traditional satin. Unlike satin, sateen sheets are made with more common fibers, such as cotton. Sateen sheets are soft to the touch and allow skin to slide smoothly into bed. Sateen sheets are available in very high thread counts, and as such, are quite durable. Take a look below for some of the most frequently asked questions about sateen sheets.
Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
