Other reviews were a bit misleading, I thought, because the sheets are soft enough, but not amazingly soft. Just average on softness. They seem like the type that will soften over time. They also do not wrinkle in the dryer, which makes them look great! We have a Simmons Olympic queen that's about 8 years old. Fit great!
I had searched for sheets for our olympic queen size bed we bought years ago believing the idea would be a sweeping hit only to find the size was not marketed well and has not taken off. Olympic sheets are not found at my local stores. That said, when I found a higher count sheet that I could justify the price, I bought them. Waited patiently for them to arrive only to not be able to get them onto the bed! Three corners does not a fitted sheet make. The color was nice and they seemed they would be a soft place to land at the end of the day but I would never know. Had to return them. The idea of having to pay for return shipping on an item that did not meet the standard (on a basic level) is aggravating and will be a consideration of future purchases. I cannot speculate on long term wear or shrinkage as, by miracle would have it I wanted to be sure they fit before washing them the first time!
The sheets are well made. The 600 count feels great I have washed them several times now and they still come out soft and unwrinkled. Even my husband likes them and he rarely comments about sheets. The only disappointment is that they only come in white. I'd order more if other colors were available.

These sheets are SO great feeling... honestly - I am so glad to get into them at night and when I wake up I love moving around, they just feel great. I've washed them once and saw no shrinkage - they are ample for my over-sized/thick mattress. The sateen finish is SO much different than straight cotton, it's slicker and feels delicious. I don't think I'll ever buy straight cotton sheets again. The sateen finish is just wonderful.

I have a select comfort bed in the size of Olympic queen. Because of the unusual size, it is often difficult to find sheets for the bed. The name brand sold at the store are wonderful but cost between $***. and $***. depending on if there is a sale. Unfortunately, they discontinued the Olympic queen size and thus the sheets. I purchased these sheets with high hopes of the same quality as select comfort sheet sets. After the 1st wash before they had even been slept in, I noticed that the top sheet had what appeared to be stretch marks where the material got thinner in spots. After the 3rd wash the sheets were a pilled mess. They are not sheets that I would recommend, because I waited longer than 30 days to complain, the company, Overstock.com says that they cannot help me. They did offer me 10% off my next order which just involved activating a coupon that was available on the website to everyone. Poor quality sheets and service.
The sheets are a very very good price for expanded queen. Anyone who has that size bed know what a problem it is to get sheets at a fairly reasonable price. These sheets are good. I would call them great but I thought they were 100% cotton. They are a cotton poly mix. At first I was disapporinted. But they fit my bed and felt pretty good ( had to wash them twice and pour on the fabric softener) so now I'm happy with them. Would recommend them
Do read the entire description of the product before you order! I'm not happy with the sheets - but this is a case of you get what you pay for. Out of the package, the Taupe color was perfect and the sheets were very soft and what I expected for a sateen 600-thread count. Before using, I machine washed in cold water - a lot of the color leached out into the water. Beware the first time you wash these sheets - not color-fast and they will give a brown tinge to anything else you wash with them. I hung them on the line outside to dry. The sateen is totally gone. They lost every bit of softness and turned scratchy - maybe if dried in a dryer this wouldn't happen. Hopefully they will soften with more washing. It was only after they turned scratchy after washing that I looked more closely at the label. Cotton Rich is not 100% cotton. Apparently the cotton "part" of the thread is all cotton maybe, but they are a cotton-poly blend. From the description that I failed to see: "crafted from 100-percent mercerized cotton fabric woven from super combed luxury cotton yarns and blended with the finest polyester." I've had cotton-poly blended sheets before and there is nothing super or fine about these.
Love these sheets. The color looks like the color of wet cement. It's nice to step away from pastels for a change. They fit our olympic queen bed like they were custom made, and let me brag about the price!! We bought one of those uber comfy beds that allows you to adjust the firmness up or down; but the sheets they sell for my oversized bed are 3 times the Overstock price, plus, they DON'T even include pillowcases! I truly recommend these sheets and am glad I ordered them. In fact I have another set in my current shopping cart. Nite nite, sleep well! They wash up nice and if folded as soon as the dryer shuts off they are crisp, easy to fold, no wrinkles and get softer with each laundering.
