I read the other reviews, and was leary of what the sheets would feel like after I washed them, but they came out feeling as soft as ever. They are a thicker sheet than you would find for the same price as other stores, and they are very soft and subtle. The bottom sheet has a heavy elastic around the entire sheet, with deep pockets to fit even a mattress with a down topper if you needed the room. These sheets are a great deal, and super quality.
These sheets are gorgeous, not to mention soooo soft! They have a beautiful sheen to them since they are sateen. The brand is Hillcrest - you won't regret this buy! I bought these for my guest room and plan to buy another set for my bedroom. Would make a great gift too! What a fantastic deal!
i love these sheets. and you will not find a snobbier sheet snob than i. these are extremely high quality sheets. (i even made a sewing project out of the top sheet, so i know from trying to tear them along the grain that they are very well-made.) they don't pill, they are easy to wash, and they are soft. i like them as much as my 1000 thread-count, but even more for the summer because they are lighter weight. highly recommended!!
Once these were washed I couldn't keep from rubbing my hands over them---they felt so soft, like something luxurious to pamper! I slipped into bed and they were like snuggling up to a childhood teddy bear because they felt so good---so right. I LOVE these sheets. Wish I could have chosen something other than white, but otherwise these sheets are GREAT!!
After reading such mixed reviews, I was nervous in buying these sheets. But, I realized that people have different defnitions of what soft is. These sheets are sateen, which give it that silky feel - and to some people, "silky" isn't soft... to others, it is super soft. I personally love these sheets because of the colors, the quality, and value... you can't buy sheets like these for lower than what Overstock offers. And for reference, they are big when you first get them, but wash them in hot water and dry on high heat, and they'll fit a 15" deep pocket mattress perfectly. I bought them in blue and today I just placed an order for the celadon.
I bought these 5 months ago, and am very satisfied with them. They aren't quite as soft as some of the others I have, but they seem durable and well made, and very nice to sleep on. The fabric is of a good weight. I bought the celandon color; it is a lovely light green. These also fit my 15 inch thick mattress excellantly. And any wrinkles smooth out, so I don't iron them.
The last sheets I ordered through Overstock were only 350 thread count sateen sheets and were the best sheets I have EVER purchased. I figured I would kick it up a notch, pay a little extra money and get the 440 thread count. These sheets started pilling after the second wash. When I took them out of the package to initially wash them before putting them on our bed, they were silky soft, like melted butter. Once they were washed and dried they were like sandpaper in comparison. I was VERY disappointed. Maybe it's not fair to compare them to the last ones purchased, but I was shocked at the difference.
The sheets did not look very good after sleeping on them. The pillowcases were very, very wrinkled and remained so until washed again. Maybe I was expecting a higher level of performance from 440 count sheets. Next time I would try a 600 count sheet set.
I have ordered them for everyone in my household, and now my mom and dad got to try them out and there are two sers of sheets on their way to Connecticut for their bed. They stay on my bed with the memory foam topper because of the nice deep pockets. They wash up great and no "pilling" at all, they stay soft and smooth. It's hard to get me to give out 5 stars for anything, but these get the 5 star rating from me.
I've had these sheets for about a year - they do not fit well on a mattress above 20" deep, but they can be made to work for the most part. Each wash makes them softer and the color has held fairly well (I have the stone or something - i forgot).
I've had these sheets for almost 2 years and really enjoy them, but they aren't the best quality. They wrinkle terribly after washing, and even seem to shift a bit... the pillowcases were a bit askew and the seams are already a bit shabby. The sateen sheen is also kind of non-existent. Otherwise, they're really soft and comfortable, but definitely not luxury.
I purchased these sheets for my son's full size bed. I wanted a high thread count and that is hard to find in a full size. I am very pleased with the sheets. The color I picked out accents perfectly with my forest green duvet cover I also purchased from Overstock.com. I bought the color Pebble which is a very pale sage green. The only one complaint I have is that the pillow cases are a little small. I would definitely buy them again still and I definitely highly recommend them to all. This is the second set of sheets we have purchased from Overstock and we have been very satisfied with both sets!
This was the first thing that I have ever bought online. I was weary at first, but was pleased with the results. I washed them as soon as I got them, and they handeled it well. I was expecting the fabric to be a lot softer, but over all it was a good buy. They took a little longer than expected to get here, but that was due to a UPS mistake. Other than that I was completly satisfied with this purchase.
These sheets are a great bargain. They're soft and comfortable, but they are a little thin which is the only giveaway that they're not higher quality. They're a little big with my mattress - they seem to be better for pillow tops or extra thick mattresses. Otherwise, a great buy, especially for a king-sized bed where sheets can run well over $100.
