I ended up returning this item as the color was not the bright periwinkle blue as shown on the Internet. Quality was OK. I would have kept if the color had been right.

I was looking for a comforter set to match a grey and white room with black furniture. Found this and thought how perfect because of the good price and all the pieces. When I opened it, however, it was more of a soft purple or a periwinkle color than grey. My husband immediately vetoed the comforter set rightfully so. The accent pillows are a different color of light blue and the comforter blues as well; completely don't match. I returned it the next day!

This "Full/Queen" sized comforter is an odd shape and is much bigger than any full/queen sized comforter I have ever owned. We have it on a platform bed, and it reaches the ground and looks bunchy. The material is scratchy and the weight of the blanket isn't very warm. With that said, the light blue/periwinkle color and flower design look GREAT in our guest room, but i wouldn't want to sleep with it every night.

Love this bedding set! As a few reviewers have noted, the color is a bit darker/richer than how it appears in the picture on the site. Truly a French Blue, whereas in the picture it looks lighter and more like a periwinkle blue. We love the clean, crisp design of this set and it gave our guest room an instant face-lift! Though I knew it from reviews when purchasing the set, I wish they'd made the sheets more reflective of the comforter design rather than just plain white with the French Blue stripe. But it was not a deal breaker - they still look great and ultimately the comforter and sham design was what sold me. The quality is very nice, too. Very happy with this purchase!

I like it, it is a little lighter and more periwinkle blue, the brown more chocolatey. I actually found myself surprised that I liked the reversible side more in person. It's very fluffy for a comforter and I'm trying to take care of it, although I'm not sure it'll hold up well enough the first time I attempt to wash it. I think this is going to be a dry clean only item. I'd recommend it though, I am pleasantly surprised. The fabric is shinier than one would thing, and softer as well.

Pro...Comforter is made well, medium weight & soft cotton on both sides, print on front & solid medium grey on back. If the set was just 3 pieces I would have kept it. The comforter & matching HUGE shams (solid grey on back also) are all the same type of material, & I liked those 3 pcs. Con...The lack of color discription is one problem. The comforter is a med grey (with a little white and a hint of taupe running through it) with some dark brown & what I would call periwinkle also. The other 6 pieces I didn't care for at all. They all have a "sheen" to them which for me doesn't go with the comforter. 4 pieces; the bed skirt, 2 euro pillow covers & one decorative pillow are not a true brown, more like a shiny faded washed out brown with a grey tint to it. (I found myself squinting trying to figure out what color I was looking at.) All along wishing it was a true brown. Last 2 pillows, one looks like it's just white but no......the front of it is ALL white shiny sequins a little too fancy for me. The other pillow has embroidery on the front, but like I said before 6 out of 9 pcs. are all shinny material & to me doesn't co-ordinate with the comforter & matching shams. Also, if you have a foot board the bed skirt doesn't have the slits at the foot of the bed to allow the bedskirt to hang down properly. I wish I waited till there were some reviews on this set before ordering it. Now I have to pay to send it back, (lesson learned.)

Let me start by saying that before I buy anything online, I do as much research as possible... including reading the reviews. I stepped way outside my comfort zone since there weren't any reviews when I bought this, and I have to say I'm glad I took a chance. Coloration: The colors of the comforter are not black and white. They are dark gray/gray with periwinkle accents on top of a cream colored background. The accent pillows are the same color they show in the picture, and the euro shams have more of a turquoise hint rather than the same light slate blue color as the others. I personally like contrast so this is fine with me and it brings out other colors of the same shade in our decor. Durabilty: It seems like this is a very durable set. I had a hard time fitting the comforter (king size) in our very large electrolux front load washer/dryer. The fabric was a wrinkly when I took it out of the dryer, but I'll probably just run an iron over it :) It was to be expected when I had to stuff it inside the dryer to fit! Weight: It seems like the weight is just right for us to stay really warm in the winter, but not get too hot in the summer. Of course, it's January right now and I can't truly gauge how it's going to be in the summer. Fabric: It's not egyptian cotton, but it doesn't feel very itchy either. For the money we spent it's exactly what I expected in a 9 piece set. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and feel very lucky that my hunt for the perfect set is finally over!! Hope this helps you make a decision either way!
The bedroom often serves as a room where decorators let their imaginations run wild, transforming the space into a retreat. In most bedrooms, the bed operates as the focal point of the room, determining the bedroom's theme and palette. Bedroom furniture often has a finish that is perfect for accenting with interesting colors. One of the best aspects of decorating a bed is that it is simple to switch the headboard, frame, textiles or pillows to shift the entire look.
Normally restrained decorators tend to let loose when decorating toddler bedrooms. After all, the color and pattern palette of kids' furniture and bedroom decor tends to be far more diverse than those for adult bedrooms. You can begin with a few large pieces of kids' furniture, such as a toddler bed, kid dresser and storage shelving. Add a theme or a palette and work from there or just add some simple textiles and wall art for a few decorative accents.
