This comforter is lovely. The color is more Taupe or champagne than gold.

The champagne fabric feels and looks great. Goes really well with deep red walls and natural oak floors. Would have been even better if they had included two king pillowcases along with the shams.

Purchased for guest bedroom, bought king size for a queen bed... Champagne color is perfect, love the pintuck...very glamorous. The only thing is that there is a seam..the comforter it is not all one piece...Since I use so many pillows you cannot see it as I put the seam at the top of the bed.

I looked long and hard for a comforter with red accents and this was it! It is a sophisticated set, suitable for bachelor or master bedroom. The fabric has a nice shimmer. There are modern, 2-3 inch wide tufts in each colored section not visible in the limited product photo. However, without this "quilting" the filling would shift. The main color is really not grey but rather a champagne-khaki color that perfectly compliments the chocolate brown and deep red. The pillows may be the best part; I just wish there was a good way to get the manufacturer's tags off!

I had been looking for a comforter set for months for our Master Bedroom. I wanted something in the copper/rust color scheme. I had been looking at Overstock for some time and didn't quite see anything that would work right.. I liked the pattern of Eve but thought it was too red and too white. Much to my surprise, when reading the reviews everyone stated it was a copper, rust with champagne color. Perfect for our room which has brown tones. The colors accent the room beautifully. I am so excited to have finally found exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Overstock!

The set was a different color than what the picture showed. In the picture the flowers look like a richer dark red color with white bed spread that looks like cotton. When received the flowers were more of an orange rust color and the bed spread was a champagne color with a slight sateen feel. This looked rather ordinary than what it appeared in the picture.

Similar sets are so much more expensive in the catalogs. I've been eyeballing the ones at W*st E** for a long time and I'm so glad for overstock to get one just like that one but so much cheaper. It is soft and silky with a slight sheen. It is thick enough not to appear at all shabby on the bed- looks exactly like the picture in this regard. It is also not super thick, which I did not want living in Florida. I cannot speak as to how it holds up as I just received it. After reading the reviews, I too ordered the king for a queen size bed and the size is perfect. Of course when you order the king for a queen you will also get king size shams, but it's an easier fix than a comforter that is too short. I ordered the taupe and it is not even close to taupe. I actually think the color is much prettier than what is pictured so I'm fine with that. I would call it a dark cream color with an ever so slight yellow undertone. It may appear like a champagne depending on what color is on your walls. The set I received is definitely not taupe, tan or khaki. The batting does not feel top-of-the-line when you squeeze it but is is very comfortable and does not look cheap at all on the bed. It looks elegant and modern and you feel like you are sleeping in fluffy clouds. For under $**for the entire set, I am thrilled with it so far. I will probably dry clean rather than wash due to the pintuck stitching.
