I only give a lower rating due to my intended use as a transportable camp bed. The mattress is great when flat and feels very nice on the floor (or subsequently a bed), but the ventilation holes cause excess stress points in the fabric when you roll the mat back up. This leads to tearing of the material from its own weight. If you want this for the original purpose of putting on your old bed or using as a quick guest bed, then it is a very good deal, but if you ever intend to roll it up for storage and/or transport, then get one without the ventilation holes. I am going to buy another type for this purpose and use this one on my bed because it is very comfortable.

I own this product and bought it for my house in Mexico. It is nice and works real well as the beds in Mexico can be very hard. The ventilated memory foam was important because it can get hot in Mexico. As such, the purchase. However I own the Serta Ultimate for my other home and I feel that if you dont need the ventilated foam then that is a much better product. As such the ventilated is nice and works, however it does seem to sink more than the Serta Ultimate, and as another poster mentions it may be because of the holes. All in all it is a good product, and if you live in a hot area this may be the way to go, if you want the best memory foam out there however go with the Serta Ultimate.

I bought this thinking it would add extra cushion to our bed. It does , but it certainly didn't act like memory foam. Mattress underneath is only about a year old , and wasn't a cheap one. I have only had it for a very short time ,and already there seems to be a hole where I normally sleep. Not too impressive for the expense and the short time I have owned it ( about a month).

Got this item for my son's bed. Made his bed so comfortable he sleeps through the night without waking us up.

We love our memory foam topper. We had a very hard foam mattress and this makes it great!

It does seem to be the 4 pound density, but the holes mean that it will be less firm than a topper without holes so don't get this if you need something firm. The big advantage is it is cooler because of the holes. I tend to easily get uncomfortably warm and until this there wasn't a good combination that would breath enough yet provide the right amount of support. The only other thing which is a bit off is after letting it expand for a few days it is only 3.75 inches thick, but slightly longer and wider than the listed size. But I've tried several toppers - solid, egg-crate, and this, and of them all, this is the best.

This is the second memory foam I have ordered. It is so comfortable even the husband loves it. We love the "holes" in it to make it cooler. We tried the solid foam way to warm

I have order and received this topper several times and received another yesterday. The product has changed. This is not the 4 lb foam I have ordered for my bed, my brother's, my nephews', and my guest room previously. It is a light foam. I wil be returning this.

This memory foam topper arrived super-fast and just as described! We used it the first night and it is awesome. It is like floating on a marshmallow cloud, yet it has suprising support. It is way better quality and comfort than more expensive ones I have purchased, too. My only complaint is once you lay down on it you do not want to get up! We actually laid in bed watching movies for 6 hrs straight it is so comfy!

Tried other memory foam and wasn't happy. All of them were too hard, even with foam under them. This one is what I was looking for. A friend had the same experience and is very happy with this product that I recommended. Just wish I could find this in a 6" thickness.

After less than one year the foam started to break down and stink like a wett dog... Also the "Holes" make this topper feel like a 2 lb, was comfortable though the first year but to soft...

This item is way too soft to be of any use. Beware your back on this one! We bought it and unfortunately ended up tossing it out after a week as Overstock does not do returns on "mattresses". I think the main problem is the holes that mean it has no structure whatsoever. My recommendation is to go with a higher quality 2 inch topper. 4 inches is just too much.

Very comfortable and very well priced. I also liked the ventilated parts of the memory foam, I feel it helps with keeping the heat down from these.

My mattress is in good shape, but my feather bed was not providing the comfort my husband and I wanted. After listening to him complain about his back for weeks, I went ahead and ordered the memory foam topper. What a difference! I can sleep on my comfortably on my back, and my husband is no longer complaining about backaches in the morning. And my dogs really like it. They are on the bed any chance they get.

Mattress topper arrived in oversized rectangular box, well-packaged and in a timely manner. After removing from box, topper returned to pre-ship size in less than 48 hours. There was the expected minor odor which dissipated within a day or so. The memory foam responds quickly and offers both support and comfort; you have the feeling of floating. From first night of use on, I am able to fall asleep quicker and remain in same position without tossing and turning. The XL size is true to fit, which surprised me since an earlier topper I had purchased (from major retailer) fell short. There is no comparison between this topper and a 1.5" topper. My children have a 1.5" with less density and although it is sufficient for them, it lacks the comfort factor for me. Can not speak on the ventialation benefit, as of yet the temperatures have not risen high enough to "feel the heat". The holes go straight through (ventilation) but do not seem to diminish the integrity of the topper at all. The price for the thickness and density of this topper seems fair - similar items can be found "on sale" for this price, but finding the Twin XL is quite the challenge. Overall I would recommend this item. This item would be great for dorm use!

I am very pleased with my topper. My only problem is it wants to slide on the mattress. I have to adjust it every morning. It is cool sleeping, I am a very warm sleeper and even have my window open all winter. Winter temps fall into the mid. 20 and sometimes lower. I am looking for a 100 per cent cotton zip mattress cover not easy to find for a twin bed.

I purchased this topper for my son and daughter-in-law after they raved about the quality of sleep they experienced with the one I have in the spare bedroom. My son works shifts and has to grab his sleep as he can during odd hours of the day and night. My daughter-in-law has back problems. They now have their own topper and are extremely pleased with it. My son is able to sleep much better during the day. Only time will tell if it helps to alleviate my daughter-in-law's back problems.

This mattress topper is great! It's very comfortable on my rock hard mattress. It smelled for a couple weeks, but is fine now. My only complaint is that it's a little TOO soft for my back. If you have this problem with your back, try a thinner mattress topper.

the mattress topper was a great value and very comfortable to sleep on.

I bought this on a Monday and it can the next Monday. It had a pretty strong smell but it faded enough for me to be able to sleep on it that night.I had the best night sleep of my life.It's extremly soft and It dosen't retain heat.There is only one con however.It is advertised as being 4inches thick when it is acually 31/2 inches thick. But don't let that stop you from buying it because 31/2 is perfectly fine and personally, an extra inch would have been to much for my matress so I'm 100%happy
