I sleep on a very firm mattress, that as i gained weight, became more and more uncomfortable. I would wake up with sore hips, sore knees and a sore back. I was seriously thinking about buying a new mattress. Not because my mattress was wore out, but because it was not comfortable at all. After going around and being hassled by sales people on what I need to feel better at night, and not being comfortable in the 5 minutes I was laying on the bed they where trying to sell me, i tried a different route. I decided to buy a memory foam mattress topper. Since I am a bologna sandwich over 300 pounds I decided to buy two 2 inch mattress pads. I bought the 5-pound 2 inch sensus pad and also the 4-pound 2 inch Mem-cool pad. My logic was that my weight would not be totally supported with just a 2 inch pad, and also, i get hot at night. So, I now have 4 inches of pad. I put the 4 pound Mem-cool on top of the 5-pound Sensus. The mem-cool does what it is supposed to do. i have yet to have a very hot day, but I am cool and comfortable on top of it. Sleeping on these two pads is so much better on my body. And all for under 250 bucks. it has made a huge difference, and after 3 months, there is still no permanent impression I was worried about because of my weight. these are both high quality pads. I can still comfortably turn without putting up a big fight cause i am stuck in a rut. As for comfort? Wow. what a difference. I get a great nights rest and am not waking up all the time in the middle of the night. i am a side sleeper, and the pain would wake me up every night. not anymore. i get a great nights rest. Do not hesitate if you have had the same problems i have had and are overweight. You will not regret it.

For a 100lb 5'1" person this is perfect. I am really happy I spent the extra amount of money to get a quality mattress topper. I placed this on my carpeted floor to air out and I can say that if I wanted to I could sleep on the floor with this topper and sleep like a baby.

love the topper , our alarm goes off everymorning and we are always sleeping in , this never happend before . I would always be out of bed before the alamr went off.I really recommend this topper .

Have an air bed, no sleep number, but like mattress very firm. Airbed had no pillow-top, no cushioning, so I purchased a 2" foam topper to make it more cushy & comfortable. I'm very happy with my foam topper; took me about 2 nights to get used to the different "feel." I've had it for 3 weeks now & I am very satisfied: with the price I paid for it, & for how it feels. O -- I bought a couple contour pillows also, which are a little too firm, but I think will support my head & neck properly. Those are a little harder to get used to! Also the topper had a "chemical" odor at first, not heavy but noticeable, which is entirely normal -- it dissipated in a few days. I put it right on the bed but if the odor bothers anyone, just let the topper air out for a few days. It inflated itself fully within less than 2 hours.

I bought this mattress pad to replace my old mattress pad. So far I am very pleased with my purchase. It seems to be just right, not too soft, not too firm. My old mattress cover was 3" and over time become too soft and did not regain it original shape. It starting to give me back problems. I went about 2 weeks without a mattress pad and went about 2 weeks without sleep. Since the pad has arrived I have had wonderful sleep. The pad was not too smelly and it flattened out rather quickly. It also seemed to fit my bed (nothing hanging over the sides). I am very happy with my purchase and feel that I got a good deal on the product.

I am a side sleeper and always...always...woke with a sore shoulder. Since getting this Sensus 5-lb density mattress topper I have had better sleep and NO PAIN in my shoulder...not once.Works great for me!Used for 1 month before writing this review.Bob

This is my seocnd memory foam topper and so far this grade 5 is fantastic. It feels better that the 3" grade 3 I had before.

The mattress topper was received as expected and the quality was as described in previous reviews. It took about a week for the foam odor to dissipate and when I started sleeping on it it seemed a little stiff to me. I put it on top of a most firm latex/foam 10.5 in. Ikea mattress. I'm getting used to it now and the combination really keeps my back straight while providing a comfortable feel. I also purchased a Beautyrest high loft pad wich helps. I also don't notice any problem with heat buildup during the night.The combination really worked out well for me. If one would prefer a softer feel then maybe the 3 in. thickness would be better. Overall the topper is a great buy.

I have tried several different types of memory foam throughout the years. This one so far is just right. Not so soft that it is difficult to get out of, soft enough to give support to aching joints. I did put a mattress cover over it to protect it from sweat ,etc. My husband thought a "lump" was forming in the middle (king size bed) but personally I did not notice it. Both of us have slept quite well since putting it on the bed. Will buy another one for the spare bedroom.

It doesn't feel like memory foam, just a normal foam that's similar to dish sponge and very plasticky. It just sagging down right after you push onto it. It's supposed to be slowly compressing itself as you press harder and harder onto the surface. If I could return it for free shipping, I will definitely return this product to the seller. I bought a 1.5" memory pad from Walmart and it has much better quality even it's only 3 lbs density.

I read all the reviews prior to purchasing. This is a great product. It does an amazing job of absorbing pressure points and relieving lower back pain. Fit king mattress perfectly. No cover included.

it is a very good quality foam mattress, very firm with 8lb density. Make sure to air it out for at least 3 days before covering it because it does have a distinct smell to it. It is a great way to extend the life of a mattress. Very good purchase!

I bought this product because I have been having difficulty finding a comfortable mattress. I bought a new mattress and found it too soft, so I bought this product in the hopes that it would make my mattress feel a bit firmer. (I was also hoping to approximate a Tempur-Pedic mattress at 1/0 the price, though I should add that I've never slept on a Tempur-Pedic mattress; I've only heard good things about them.) While this product definitely changed the 'feel' of my mattress, I did not find that it made it firmer. It actually feels a bit more like sleeping in a jello mold, since memory foam (adjusting to your body as it does) tends to keep your body in place. I tried it for 2 nights and found it made no overall difference in my comfort; given the drawbacks below, I decided to get rid of it. Independent of whether I found it comfortable or not, I found it ruined the look of the bed. The pink foam shows through a white sheet, and the rectangular shape jutted out over the corners of my tapered mattress.

I wasn't convinced that a 2" pad would make much difference, but I was so wrong! It is so comfortable and my hips and back no longer hurt when I wake up!! I did not give it 5 stars because I do feel that the smell still is lingering (we've had it for about 2 weeks now). If you are very sensitive to smell, it will likely bother you. I'm hopeful that the odor will continue to dissipate.

I bought a serta 3" matress topper from Overstock about 4 years ago and it must have dementia because it doesn't remember anything anymore. Also, 3" turned out to be a bit too thick for my wife's and my liking so this time I went looking for a 2" that was higher in density. This Sensus topper is exactly what I needed and it feels very high quality. The total shipping weight was 27lb and that's right where you would expect it to be for a queen-sized topper with a 5lb density. I took away 1 star because the smell is still lingering after 3 weeks but they pretty much all do that, nothing to be worried about.

This 2-inch queen topper arrived earlier than anticipated and was exactly as described. The density makes it substantial, not firm, but not too soft. We are using it to replace the one in our air bladder mattress (Comfortaire) and have cut it to fit the space. Worked perfectly. If a memory foam topper is what you are looking for, this is a good one at a great price. We are very happy with it and with Overstock customer service. I will definitely continue to shop here.

when it comes to these memory foam topper, people always mention the chemical smell but mine got pretty much fully opened up in half day and used it that night no so much of the new foam smell. this is really good quality but its 5lb density and so even though its 2inches its got really good support and its on the firm side. i hope it last for a long time!

This is the best value memory foam mattress topper I have found anywhere. Met or exceeded all my expectations and very comfortable.

I wasn't sure whether to get a topper or a new mattress. I'm happy I went with the topper. It had made my old spring mattress downright comfortable again. I was debating between the 2 inch and the 3 inch, and I found the 2 inch is perfectly fine for my needs. I got the Queen size--not taking recommendations to get a Cal King and cut down myself. The Queen size seemed to fit perfectly, but has since seemed to shrink down so it's a few inches short all around. That doesn't bother me, but it may if you want the topper to go all the way to the edges. I was also nervous about the smell, but it mostly dissipated after a day or two, and for the next week or so I only caught an occasional whiff. I'm generally pretty sensitive to smells. Maybe I got a piece from a good, less smelly, batch? Thrilled with the topper so far, and I can get 4 or 5 for the cost of a new mattress, so as long as it holds out for a year or two, I'll be happy with my purchase.
