mem-cool exceeds claims.
I have 4 inch memory foam on every bed in my home and I have recommended to all my friends. However,although memory foam gives you a better sleep it can tend to make you warm even with a bed pad on top. Since I like to sleep in a cool environment I decided to try the Mem- Cool. What a difference! This product lives up to all it's claims. Although it cost a little more it is well worth the price . After I opened the package it only took 12 hours for the slight odor to dissipate .From now on I will only recommend 4 inch Mem-Cool Memory Foam Mattress Topper.

Finally Free of Back Pain
I have been suffering from severe lower back pain almost from the minute I lay down at night on my 22 year old pillow top EXPENSIVE mattress. I would wake and get up several times each night or just toss and turn and rearrange pillows every night. I even placed soft pillows below my lower spine with no help. This has gone on for nearly 2 years now. I was even going to have a doctor check me out for the beginnings of problems with my sciatic area. I finally invested in this memory foam mattress topper because of the "Cool Max" feature. From the very first night I used this, the pain in my lower back and hip completely stopped. I have slept comfortably all through the night (except if the cats jump on ME) I don't even feel them jumping up on the bed anymore! I look forward to many more restful nights of sleep in the future. There was NO smell when I unwrapped it. The box with the king size sleeper WAS heavy..... about 50 pounds. So it was a bit of a struggle to do this myself but once on the bed and unwrapped, I was able to put a deep pocket fitted sheet over it immediately and make up the bed. There really was no waitinig time for a smell to subside or for the mattress to full lay flat. All in all, lifitng it up two flights of steps and getting it on the bed and the bed made up took me about half an hour. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for offering this wonderful product.

4 Lbs.? I don't think so
Bought this topper to replace a too soft 3 lbs topper. It is softer than the 3 lb.No support at all- you "touch bottom" right away. Also tended to remain compressed after I got up and got lumpy and misshapen after a few weeks. I freecycled it. Maybe someone will use it for a pet. As others have mentioned, these are nigh-on impossible to return because it is difficult/impossible to re-compress and repack. When you are talking queen size, you are talking about considerable weight as well. Wish there was a way to try these out first.

Dreaming in Comfort
For years I had been anticipating getting a tempurpedic mattress and sleeping within blissful comfort. After getting one I was so very disappointed. I would wake up with my entire backside slightly damp from sweating. It also truly was not very comfortable. I ended up sending it back within the 90 day guarantee. My husband and I then ordered a sleep number bed and it is ok but not wonderful. I hemmed and hawed about ordering this mattress topper for about a year and am so extremely glad that I did. It is amazingly comfortable and does not make me sweat. This addition to our bed is nearly as comfortable to sleep on as the best mattress I have ever owned. I am thrilled with my purchase of this product!

Unbelievable Sleep
I LOVE this product! It's made sleeping so wonderful that I never want to get out of bed. I actually think about it when I'm out. I have arthritis and bursitis in my hips so I tossed and turned all night before buying this. I was really worried because I am such a hot sleeper and sometimes sweat in my sleep. Not a problem at all with this mattress. So glad I bought it. Worth every penny. I wake up rested and refreshed for a change.

It's Nice
Item took a long time to arrive with no shipping options, but it was free shipping. Nice thick foam, light blue and raw uncovered material. I can definitely tell that its a denser foam. Our bed is probably to tall now because we have a pillow top mattress, so I would recommend measuring an extra 4 inches to your bed to see how it looks. The topper seems good thus far, I don't regret buying it.

So much promise
I've never written a review, but this one is a must. I read so many great reviews about the Mem-Cool 4" memory foam mattress topper. Being I live in the south I needed one that was going to be cool pretty much year round. I let the topper air our about 4 days. The smell subsided a little, but not completely like other toppers I've had. I will admit, it was SO COMFORTABLE. However, after the first night I woke up with a headache; wrote it off for something unrelated. The next night I woke up at 1:00am feeling sick to my stomach. I thought, 'Did I eat bad food?' The headache was back, I felt so nauseous a then I began to smell the topper. Almost like fumes, 'Could it be the topper?' I seriously could not breathe. I took my covers and pillow and moved to my couch. When I awoke the next morning I had no headache and no nausea. After reading additional reviews (on other sites) it was clear to me that the carcinogens from the topper (Although BPA level approved) caused these symptoms. Apparently, it doesn't happen to everyone. Ps- No returns will be accepted if you open the package. It was so comfortable, but sadly it made me so sick.

Awful Smell - After 3 weeks outside still not usea
The title says it all. This topper will make everything in your bedroom smell. Off gassing still after 3 weeks airing outside.

Ordered this because my new mattress was comfortable, but just a bit too firm for my arthritic body. I ordered this and now I sink into bed every night. It is truly 4 inches thick. I now have to stand on my toes to get into my bed but once I'm in, I am on a soft cloud. This conforms to my body and I don't wake up with lower back pain anymore. It is heavy and you'll need 2 people to help put it on the bed - at least I did. I am really pleased with it.

Perfect nights sleep!
I have had this for five years. We just purchased a king mattress, which is not comfortable, so I'm here to purchase a king topper! This is a mattress saver!! I love how cool it keeps us and the perfect nights sleep we receive!
