I got this mattress topper because a previously purchased on at another store was only 2" high and did not alleviate my hip and lower back pain when I slept. This product is much higher and provides plenty of comfort. Since I've used it, I no longer wake up in the middle of the night with pain from areas that have hurt due to circulation issues. I use the topper with the "tip" side turned down. I tried the other way, and it was a bit to "squishy" for me. Flipping it over gave me just the amount of firmness and comfort needed. Only draw back....my bed is higher now and one of my stockier cats now has problems making it on to the top in one leap:-)

I bought two toppers to compare them. They arrived quickly, came out of the box easily, and were ready to go within an hour or two. There was no bad smell to them at all, like I've read in other reviews. One daughter got the Serta, and one got the Highloft. The Serta daughter likes to sleep on the pointy side. The Highloft daughter likes to sleep on the smooth side. Both are wonderful toppers, but I think they are so similar that you might as well save the money and get the Highloft. I think that it is even made in the USA. My husband and I might be buying one soon for our King size bed. It appears they are all the same price, despite the size. Great comfort and value!!! A+

I have ordered memory foam mattress toppers before and been very pleased with them. This one is a disappointment. It is much less dense than the others, so it doesn't offer the same cushioning. And the "texture" is actually a deep egg-crate surface on one side, which means that over much of its surface the topper is about 3" thick instead of 4". While this topper will no doubt make a bed more comfortable, there are better toppers out there. Buy one of them instead.

I bought this mattress topper because I couldn't afford a new bed at the time. It was supposed to be 4" thick, I guess if you count the top of the egg crate it might be 2 1/2". The actual foam base is only about an inch thick. I unwrapped the topper and allowed it to air out and expand for a little more than 72 hours. I just kept waiting for it to expand, which it did a little. It's quite comfortable though. Just not, what I was expecting from the product description. Just remember you get what you pay for. I didn't pay that much for it, so this time it's my mistake.

i ordered the mattress for my husband who has a bad back . he had his first great sleep after weeks of discomfort. he is a happy camper now that he can get a good nights sleep. oh! the cats love it also, he can't get rid of them, they all pile on HIS bed now.

I am very happy with my purchase of this topper. I read many reviews before purchasing. Although there was negetive reviews the positives out weighed them. I made my decision based on these positive reviews and I am glad I did. This topper (King) was purchased for my son, since putting his two twin beds they were a bit uneven. This topper worked out perfect and he is very happy. I also did not notice any strong odor coming from this product as many mentioned. I took it out of the shipping package and it went straight to the bed with no problems. I did not have to wait for it to air out or to comform to original shape. Purchase this topper and I guarantee you will be as satisfied as my son and mysef.

It does not have the recoiling I was expecting but still very good bed pad, it is recommended

I have a memory foam topper for my bed that is the real thing so I purchased this for the guest room bed. It definitely is not memory foam but a soft foam. It is comfortable but not as supportive as the memory foam I've had for years.

I bought this too quickly, not looking at the "View Larger Image" on the site. I regretted it as soon as it arrived, because unlike the other 3 memory foam mattress toppers I purchased from Overstock.com, the Highloft version had an egg-crate shape on one side, so the top of those contours was used in the "4 inch thick" measurement.Since the full weight of the body crushes these easily by 100%, you end up with less than 2-inch thickness of support under the torso, which makes the cost savings not worth the lack of support.I sent it back immediately and bought Mem-Cool version to replace it.

I bought this topper to replace 4" topper we bought from overstock several years ago. We love the memory foam, but do find it warm. I was hoping the egg crate concept would help air circulation and perhaps make the topper a bit cooler. Describing it as 4" is definitely a stretch because even to the very top of the peaks it is not 4 inches. This topper seems to be made of less dense memory foam and when you lay on down it just flattens. We felt like this ends up giving less support than the conventional 2" topper on our spare bed and nothing like our old 4" memory foam. All in all a very disappointing purchase. I would advise anyone who wants good memory foam to spend a bit more and go for the "flat" 4" topper!

Great product, never slept better! Would highly recommend. I had to go get deep pocket sheets my bed is so tall now! lol.

One of my friends is a 69 year old woman who is a quadriplegic for eleven years now. I have purchased other foam pads for her in the past to use on the hard hospital bed mattress she has. She thought they were the best. After years of use and lying in the same position 10 hours a night without movement the elasticity weakened. She developed painful bed sores. I bought her the same memory foam as she had been using. She was happy with the new cushion. Being the most grateful person she is, she would not tell me about the pain she was having from the sores even with the new pad as it was better overall. I saw the ad on overstock for a memory foam "Comfort Dreams". I noticed the egg crate shape to the memory foam and thought I'll try it for her. Sent it to her house. She loves it. I bought this Highloft 4-inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper for my mother as a Christmas present because her mattress was hurting her back. She loves it and is sleeping better now. I have a 2 inch on my king size bed that I order from Overstock in the past. If you need extra comfort do not hesitate to order one for yourself. My children are asking when am I going to order one for them. I received the topper one week after I ordered it and I have not had any problems. Overstock is a great company to buy from.

our bed measures 54" and this unit was 51 after sitting out for 4 days. was not bad to sleep on but the 3" did make you need to sleep closer to the center. it also had a smell that did not go away and after 2 weeks still has an odor. we ended up buying a new matress. i was hoping this would have delayed that but such is life.
