My husband purchased the 1 inch Aerus for a little extra cushion for his head and heck injury.We are using it on a a Big O. foam bed. It has been very soothing for him since he can't use a pillow.Having tried a lot of densities in foam, I would say that if you are using this on a too firm coil bed, you might want to go with more than one inch. If you have a foam bed, stomach sleepers might sink too far if you went to the two or three inch version. 1" is perfect for us.The Overstock description was true and the densitiy listings helped us make the right choice. The price and value are unbeatable as usual.
