This is the most beautiful and well presented comforter I have ever seen and the price is amazing! The quality is outstanding! I have been buying comforters for my family for over 40 years and I can truthfully say this is the best ever! I will be pleased to order from this vendor again! Thank you Overstock!Read More
Was very pleased with this comforter when it arrived. It is super soft, cozy and warm. After using it for about a month I noticed what appeared to be lose strings everywhere. Turns out it is the silk seeping through. Furthermore, the outer shell is starting to form little fuzz balls like a worn in fleece would. I do not have pets or children and still this is happening. Feel and comfort is great but it is not holding up well. For the price it is a big waste of money.Read More
I am a loyal Overstock customer. However, this was a very disappointing item. I already have a chinese silk comforter (purchased on O.co) and wanted a second one for my second bedroom. This one comes no where near the thickness and warmth of my first comforter and it was twice the price. There was also several pieces of human hair on the comforter when we opened it. Couldn't be ours since neither one of us has straight black hair. The piece definitely looked used and the fabric looked aged in some areas and not as white. This is definitely being returned.Read More

Best Down Alternative Comforters For Winter
When winter arrives, many people turn to down alternative comforters to keep warm. What's the difference between down alternative and down? Down alternative comforters are filled with natural or synthetic materials, while down comforters are filled with goose or duck down. Here are the best down alternative comforters for winter.
Best Fills for Down Comforters
Warm and incredibly soft, down comforters are the height of luxurious bedding. Like all other bedding, down comforters can range from inexpensive to costly. The proof is in the filling. Inexpensive down comforters are filled with a combination of down and polyester or down and feathers. The best down comforters, which are usually also the most expensive, are full of pure, thick down. Take a look below to learn the best fills for down comforters. Hungarian goose down: Hungarian goose down is considered the most luxurious type of down. These extreme cold-weather birds have very thick, almost odorless tufts of down at the base of their feathers. This heavy, long-lasting down is most often used in comforters with a fill rating of 800, which means they can keep a person warm even in cold conditions. Eiderdown: Eiderdown is harvested by hand from the abandoned nests of Eider ducks, which pluck the down from their own backs and use it to cover their eggs. Eider ducks live in cold climates, so their down is thick and heavy. It is used in high-quality comforters with a fill rating of between 700 and 800. Eider duck down is the only type of duck down used in high-quality comforters. All other duck down is usually considered too smelly (and some duck down has tiny barbs) and is used in much less expensive comforters. Grey and white goose down: Grey goose down is used in dark comforters due it its grey color, but it is the same as white goose down in all other ways. Grey and white goose down, which is usually harvested from European or Chinese geese, is the most popular type of down used in middle-price-range pure down comforters. These comforters usually have a fill rating of 600 and above. Hypodown: Hypodown is a mixture of white goose down and milkweed. This all-natural filling is hypoallergenic and much more durable than pure down comforters. While pure down is still considered to be the preferable fill for comforters by most people, hypodown is gaining popularity with consumers who want a longer lasting product without synthetic fills. How to Pick the Right Fill for Down Comforters
Depending on the fill, a down comforter can function as a cold weather staple or a comfortable lightweight cover. Fill refers to the different grade of goose down feather used in down bedding. The higher the fill number, the larger the down clusters and warmth factor. There are several factors to be considered when choosing a down comforter, so keep reading for some useful tips on how to pick the right fill for down comforters.
Down Comforters vs Alternative Down Comforters
A good comforter is an essential item for any comfortable bed. Down comforters are an especially popular type of comforter in many homes, though down alternative comforters offer many benefits for allergy sufferers. Although both offer durability and warmth, there may be some debate between down comforters versus alternative down comforters concerning which one is right for you. When choosing a comforter, consider factors such as cost, warmth, and aesthetic appeal to help you make the right selection.
FAQs about Down Comforters
Warm in the winter and cool in the summer, down comforters offer the ultimate in comfort and insulation. Down is the soft, fluffy growth found under the outer layer of breast feathers on geese and ducks, insulating them from extreme temperatures. Down is lighter and more flexible than feathers, which is why it's so popular for use in down bedding. When used to fill comforters, it gives you the ultimate in year-round comfort. If you want all the facts about down comforters before purchasing one, check out the most frequently asked questions about down comforters.
How to Wash Throw Pillows
Part of keeping a clean house is making sure all of your decorative accessories are clean. Throw pillows covered in delicate fabrics, such as wool or silk, will have to be dry-cleaned, as will throw pillows stuffed with down or feathers. Foam-filled throw pillows with cotton covers or other washable materials, however, can be washed -- some even by machine. Nevertheless, even if a pillow appears washable, always consult the washing instruction label before attempting to wash a throw pillow -- or you may be in for an unpleasant surprise when you remove the pillow from the washing machine.
How to Pick a Down Comforter
Contrary to popular belief, down comforters do not just keep you warm in the depths of winter. You can find them in summer weights and variable fills, so there's a down comforter for every season and every sleeper. Down bedding comes in different levels of quality and different materials, so consider these tips before you shop.
How to Fluff Down Pillows
After a long day, there's nothing quite like sinking your head into a fluffy down pillow. Pillows filled with down are incredibly luxurious, but without the proper care, their comfort level can be seriously deflated. To keep your bed pillows from going flat, getting lumpy or breeding allergens, there are a few simple steps you can take. Learn how to fluff down pillows and prepare to reach a level of comfort worthy of a dream!
Cotton Bedding vs Wool Bedding
Choosing bedding is a personal decision; when it comes to your comfort while lounging and sleeping, no one knows you better than you. Bedding is available in all sorts of materials, including satin, silk and polyester, but two of the most popular materials for bedding are cotton and wool. Made of all-natural fibers, either cotton or wool bedding will make your bed comfortable, cozy and beautiful as well as suit your individual tastes.
How to Buy Men's Pajamas
Bedtime is your break from the day's stresses, and men's pajamas and robes can help you wind down and make your night's rest more comfortable. You may already have the luxury sheets, down comforter and perfect mattress to ensure a good night's sleep, but men's pajamas are just as important. With men's silk pajamas, soft flannel pajamas and comfortable lounge pants, you can get the rest you need in men's sleepwear and pajamas that fit your style and will keep you cozy all night long.
How to Fluff Comforters
You know it's time to cover the beds with cozy comforters when there's a chill in the air and cold weather sets in. Bedding stored in moisture-resistant bags with the air removed will be clean, but it may be flat, too. Generally stored during the warm seasons, down comforters may become lumpy if the filling was unevenly distributed while they were packed away. Comforters currently in use that appear flat should be freshened, too. A simple fluffing will restore volume, making your bedding plush and cuddly for cold winter nights. Look below to learn how to fluff comforter sets.
Top 5 Alternative Pillows
Having the right pillow can help induce sleep and extend a good night's rest. Some people, whether because of allergies or personal preference, avoid traditional feather and down pillows in favor of modern ecologically-friendly and animal-friendly alternative pillows. From professional-grade buckwheat to memory foam, the top 5 alternative pillows welcome tired heads with the best in quality and comfort.

Hardside Luggage vs Softside Luggage
There are some very obvious differences between hardside luggage and softside luggage. But there are also a lot of more subtle differences, and knowing all the differences between the two types of luggage can help you find a luggage set that is right for you and makes your travels easier. Materials: Hardside luggage is usually made of aluminum or polycarbonates. They are chosen because they have a good strength-to-weight ratio. Softside luggage is made of a variety of materials, including vinyl, cotton, polyester, leather and other durable materials. These materials are chosen because they are lightweight, flexible and durable. Features: The features offered on softside and hardside luggage are nearly identical. They both often offer wheels and extendable handles for convenience when carrying the luggage. Inside, they can have an array of pockets for holding toiletries or preventing clothes from getting wrinkled. What can be different is that softside luggage typically has several pockets that are accessible without opening the suitcase. Also, softside luggage almost always uses zippers to hold it close, but hardside luggage will have some type of latch to secure it. Price: Many factors determine the cost of luggage; one of which is the materials it is made of, but features, size, brand and other factors play a part as well. Not all hard materials are the same and not all soft materials are the same, but on average, the initial cost of hardside luggage is going to be higher than the initial cost of comparable softside luggage. One thing to consider though is value. If you are a frequent flyer, the initial cost of hardside luggage might be offset by its longevity. Use: If you are someone who keeps their luggage close to them and will only take a carry-on with you, the lightweight, flexibility of softside luggage might be better for you. The rigid shape of a hardside case doesn't always conform to the shape of an overhead bin; however, if you like to check your bags, hardside luggage is less likely to be damaged when thrown around in the holding area and will keep its contents from getting crushed when another bag gets thrown on top of it. Bottom line: When it comes down to it, both softside luggage and hardside luggage do the same basic thing. But the choice is about you and what you want. Do you want something that is incredibly durable and will protect everything inside of it? Or would you rather have luggage that is more flexible and lightweight? FAQs about Pre-Owned Rolex Watches | Overstock.comFAQs about Pre-Owned Rolex Watchesby Shawna Edwards I've never made a large purchase online. Why pick Overstock.com?Overstock.com is one of the largest retailers of high-end jewelry and watches. We have taken the time to create a Web environment that caters to our customers by allowing them to comfortably shop for wristwatches from the privacy of their homes. We offer our customers a wide variety of timepieces at the most competitive prices available. In addition to this, we want them to feel secure purchasing from us. Overstock.com is one of a handful of online high-end watch merchants that are capable of processing your credit card for your entire purchase. This allows "first-time buyers" to feel more secure in making a large purchase because they have an added layer of security via their credit card company. Do all your Rolex watches come with their serial numbers?Every Rolex watch sold by Overstock.com will have its unique Rolex serial and reference numbers in place and viewable by removing the watch band from the six o'clock and twelve o'clock ends. What is meant by "Perfect Like New Condition?""Perfect like new (day one) condition" watches are pre-owned Rolex timepieces that are purchased by Overstock.com in pristine, mint and immaculate condition. This obviously is the case cosmetically and mechanically. Every timepiece is thoroughly inspected to ensure that they are authentic and meet our quality standards. These luxury watches are so pristine that, in most cases, they are indistinguishable from new watches. Our men's watches and women's watches may have miniscule markings, and the watch bracelets will have miniscule amounts of stretch. Will my watch come with documentation?Every watch will come with detailed documentation stating a full watch description, serial number and model number. Being that the manufacturer's warranty has expired, you will receive a limited one-year warranty from our vendor. Will my watch be covered by a warranty, and what about post warranty service?Being that the manufacturer's warranties on these timepieces have expired, our vendor issues a one-year limited warranty on every watch. The warranty work is done by expert watchmakers who use only original manufacturers' parts and have decades of experience working with Rolex watches. After the one-year limited warranty has expired, you may continue to request service through our vendor who will service the watch when needed at industry cost prices. How can I be sure that the watch will fit my wrist? All our watches will fit up to a 6-and-a-half-inch wrist for a woman and for a man will fit up to a 7-and-a-half-inch wrist (extra links are available for additional charges). Rolex watches can be easily resized to fit any wrist by your local jeweler. How do I measure for my wrist size? You can get an approximate measurement of your wrist by using a soft measuring tape or measuring the inside of your best fitting watch. If you don't have a soft measuring tape, you can wrap a ribbon or a piece of string around your wrist at the wrist bone, mark the spot where it meets, and measure it against a ruler to determine your approximate wrist size. To get the best fit, measure fairly snug at the wrist bone. This is approximate sizing not a 100 percent guarantee of prefect sizing. If the watch is a gift and you do not know the recipient's wrist size, you can use the following as a guide (as with all products, the standard sizes depend on the manufacturer):Men's Standard Bracelet SizesInside, including watch face while bracelet is closedAdult Small5-1/2" to 6-1/2"Adult Average6-1/2" to 7-1/2"Adult Large7-1/2" to 8-1/2"Adult X-Large8-1/2" to 9-1/2" Women's Standard Bracelet SizesInside, including watch face while bracelet is closedAdult Small4-1/2" to 5-1/2"Adult Average5-1/2" to 6-1/2"Adult Large6-1/2" to 7-1/2"Adult X-Large7-1/2" to 8-1/2" Will the watch be fully water-resistant? And can I go swimming or shower with my watch?Every Rolex watch is fully tested for water resistance; the total depth rating is listed with every model. Drawing on years of experience, it is our recommendation that, though Rolex watches are water resistant, because of the fine nature of the timepiece, we discourage our customers from making a practice of taking them in the shower or pool. If for some reason the stem, which is the round mechanism found on the side of the case, which is unscrewed to set the time, is not completely screwed down, water could leak into the movement and damage the watch. (Please refer to your warranty card regarding water damage.) The chances are incredibly slim that this will happen, but nonetheless it is our recommendation that our customers refrain from taking their Rolex watches into the water to avoid any unnecessary problems. How does Overstock.com offer such great prices when my local jeweler has a similar piece for considerably more?Overstock.com has built the best connections in the business, affording us the ability to buy from dealers at the highest level of the industry. Through these connections we can buy in the largest quantities while getting the best pricing. Being that we are not an authorized dealer of Rolex or affiliated with Rolex, USA we are able to offer our customers rock bottom pricing without being subject to any manufacturer's price controls or policies. Do I need to be present to sign for the package? For your safety, you will need to sign for the package that contains your watch. If you are not present when it arrives, the package will not be left at your door. A door tag will be left to inform you when the courier will come to redeliver your package. Alternatively, you can call the courier to arrange a better delivery time or pick-up (with photo identification) at the local hub. What is the benefit of buying a pre-owned Rolex over a new one?Unlike new Rolex watches, pre-owned Rolex watches do not depreciate in value immediately after purchase. Therefore, buying a new Rolex watch is like buying a brand new car: The moment you drive it off the lot it has lost 20 to 30 percent of its value. With buying a pre-owned watch, you have effectively cut out any value depreciation and retail markup. Rolex watches hold their value over time; in most cases, a pre-owned Rolex can be resold at a price very close to your purchase price.Rolex designs don't change too often; therefore, owning a perfect condition pre-owned timepiece is as good as a new one, with no one knowing that the watch was purchased pre-owned. No one can spot a used Rolex on your wrist. With the proper care and maintenance, a Rolex lasts forever. How do I determine the age of my watch? You are guaranteed to receive a desirable modern watch with a fully automatic self-winding (or quartz movement depending on your purchase), with quickset date feature. Due to the fact that Rolex models are manufactured for a number of years, the year of your watch will be circa 1980s or 1990s. Every Rolex watch sold by Overstock.com will have its unique Rolex serial number, which determines the year of manufacture. Overstock.com and our Rolex Vendors are not affiliated with Rolex or Rolex, USA Inc., and are not an authorized Rolex dealer. Third party One-Year Warranty. Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
