      I THOUGHT THIS WAS GREAT IN THE PHOTO, LOVED THE CONTRAST OF THE MATTE AND SHINEY FINISH. WHEN I RECEIVED THIS, IT IS ALL MATTE FINISH. IT DOSEN'T LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE AT ALL. IT IS VERY LUXURIOUS AS FAR AS THE FABRIC USED, BUT DON'T ORDER IF YOU WANT THE SHINEY LOOK SHOWN. I RETURNED THIS ITEM

    • Great Buy!

      Unlike other reviewers, I am quite happy with the matte finish - I wouldn't like it as much if it were shiny. The fabric is of good quality, very soft, thin but warm. I wish the silver/blue provided more of a contrast against the brown background, but that's just a good reason to accessorize!I am very pleased with the purchase. It is a great balance between good quality and great price.

      Loved the pic but when i got it home with in two weeks my pillow shams ripped at the seemes where flowers the were. I plan on replacing it soon. looks cute from far but far from cute

      I have very mixed feelings about this product. Although it appears to have very good quality, it looks nothing like the photo on line or even the photo attached to the packaging. I have to agree competely with earlier reviewer. I was drawn to it for the silvery sheen. I thought the photo was beautiful. But the fabric has no sheen at all. As mentioned by other reviewer the fabric is completely in matte form. So if you don't mind that, then it would probably work for you. I haven't decided whether to keep it or not. I bought this for a Christmas gift, so will need to think about it awhile and will probably end up returning it within the 30 days. I'm really disappointed that it does not even closely resemble the photo.

    • Absolutely Beautiful...but it has its downfalls

      The Charleston Luxury 7-piece Comforter Set is absolutely beautiful. The color is rich, it is made very well. The only downfalls are:1. It is extremely heavy. When I lay in bed, I feel like I have 10 lbs. resting on me.2. The material does pick when I make the bed. Make sure to file any rough fingernails, or take off any rings that may catch before handling.It is well worth the price paid, looks wonderful, and will be very nice when the weather gets colder.

    • Very elegant

      Upon receipt of the set I was surprised at how dark a brown it is; at irst look it appears almost black & I had been wanting a somewhat lighter chocolate color. This is truly a very deep, rich dark chocolate but I decided to try it anyway because it's so very nice and its good quality is apparent. I have it on the bed in the master suite at the present time and its truly outstanding in appearance! Also, it's heavy enough to keep us warm yet lighjt enough that we are not sweltering during the night. The only two minor complaints I have are as follows: for some reason this fabric seems to snag my rings almost continuously & I wear my rings 24/7. That being said, I've simply learned to be more careful when handling the set. The other issue is the weak sttching on the bedskirt. I believe we all tug at the bedskirts when in the process of putting them on - its just part of the process. Please - use care when putting this on your boxspring! If you pull with any pressure at all the stitching will give way!! I know it isn't noticeable but I thought I'd mention it as a word of caution. Other than these two issues which aren't that big a deal at all, I'd say if you like deep, dark, rich brown and are looking for an elegant & smart value, - go for it!! I'm glad I did.Thanks Overstock,

    • Surprised

      I am temporarily renting and the landlord chose gray & brown for the master bedroom (good heavens!). Since repainting was not an option I had to find a way to make the gray/brown work. When I saw this bedset I thought given the price, I could afford to take a chance. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived (early too). For the price the quality, vibrance of colors and comfort all were amazing. The best part was that somehow this bed set tied the two colors together and made what I thought was going to be a hard room to be in, quite comfortable and nice. I had not really shopped on Overstock before but this purchase was motivation enough to bring me back many times. Just a note, there are slight hints of a sage green and gold in the design but they are subtle. The predominate colors are a dark chocolate brown and silver/platinum.

    • Comforter Set

      I really did enjoy this comforter set. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the color. It does not look the same as it does in the picture. That picture has a lot of light. In real life, there are other colors amongst the silver.
