I THOUGHT THIS WAS GREAT IN THE PHOTO, LOVED THE CONTRAST OF THE MATTE AND SHINEY FINISH. WHEN I RECEIVED THIS, IT IS ALL MATTE FINISH. IT DOSEN'T LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE AT ALL. IT IS VERY LUXURIOUS AS FAR AS THE FABRIC USED, BUT DON'T ORDER IF YOU WANT THE SHINEY LOOK SHOWN. I RETURNED THIS ITEM

Unlike other reviewers, I am quite happy with the matte finish - I wouldn't like it as much if it were shiny. The fabric is of good quality, very soft, thin but warm. I wish the silver/blue provided more of a contrast against the brown background, but that's just a good reason to accessorize!I am very pleased with the purchase. It is a great balance between good quality and great price.

Loved the pic but when i got it home with in two weeks my pillow shams ripped at the seemes where flowers the were. I plan on replacing it soon. looks cute from far but far from cute

I have very mixed feelings about this product. Although it appears to have very good quality, it looks nothing like the photo on line or even the photo attached to the packaging. I have to agree competely with earlier reviewer. I was drawn to it for the silvery sheen. I thought the photo was beautiful. But the fabric has no sheen at all. As mentioned by other reviewer the fabric is completely in matte form. So if you don't mind that, then it would probably work for you. I haven't decided whether to keep it or not. I bought this for a Christmas gift, so will need to think about it awhile and will probably end up returning it within the 30 days. I'm really disappointed that it does not even closely resemble the photo.

I would first like to say it is very pretty however it snags and tars easily so I would not recommend for a room that you use. Now if it for decoration only then it would be perfect.

The Charleston Luxury 7-piece Comforter Set is absolutely beautiful. The color is rich, it is made very well. The only downfalls are:1. It is extremely heavy. When I lay in bed, I feel like I have 10 lbs. resting on me.2. The material does pick when I make the bed. Make sure to file any rough fingernails, or take off any rings that may catch before handling.It is well worth the price paid, looks wonderful, and will be very nice when the weather gets colder.

Upon receipt of the set I was surprised at how dark a brown it is; at irst look it appears almost black & I had been wanting a somewhat lighter chocolate color. This is truly a very deep, rich dark chocolate but I decided to try it anyway because it's so very nice and its good quality is apparent. I have it on the bed in the master suite at the present time and its truly outstanding in appearance! Also, it's heavy enough to keep us warm yet lighjt enough that we are not sweltering during the night. The only two minor complaints I have are as follows: for some reason this fabric seems to snag my rings almost continuously & I wear my rings 24/7. That being said, I've simply learned to be more careful when handling the set. The other issue is the weak sttching on the bedskirt. I believe we all tug at the bedskirts when in the process of putting them on - its just part of the process. Please - use care when putting this on your boxspring! If you pull with any pressure at all the stitching will give way!! I know it isn't noticeable but I thought I'd mention it as a word of caution. Other than these two issues which aren't that big a deal at all, I'd say if you like deep, dark, rich brown and are looking for an elegant & smart value, - go for it!! I am temporarily renting and the landlord chose gray & brown for the master bedroom (good heavens!). Since repainting was not an option I had to find a way to make the gray/brown work. When I saw this bedset I thought given the price, I could afford to take a chance. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived (early too). For the price the quality, vibrance of colors and comfort all were amazing. The best part was that somehow this bed set tied the two colors together and made what I thought was going to be a hard room to be in, quite comfortable and nice. I had not really shopped on Overstock before but this purchase was motivation enough to bring me back many times. Just a note, there are slight hints of a sage green and gold in the design but they are subtle. The predominate colors are a dark chocolate brown and silver/platinum.

I really did enjoy this comforter set. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the color. It does not look the same as it does in the picture. That picture has a lot of light. In real life, there are other colors amongst the silver.

I haven't opened the set to use it yet. However, I did examine it upon its delivery and found the comforter to be beautiful and well made. I look forward to using this when cooler weather is upon us again.

this set is luxurious yet affordible. the picture doesnt do it justice, the comforter has shades or gold, blue and silver that seem to work beautifully. I highly recommend it.

I recieved my order much sooner than the date given and was so happy when it arrived. It is made very well and looks so much better in person. You can't tell in the picture but it has some blue in it and was so perfect for my daughters bed room since we had just painted it blue. The pillows are a great size and are made well. I and overly tickled with this set.

I am simply surprised that so many people wrote reviews on here about the color being different than shown. Many people claimed that the color was more brownish instead of purple-ish, however, if everyone was to read the item description it clearly states that it is a brownish/silver option. Just surprised people would spend that much money without fully reading the description.

I was very pleased with the purchase of my Charleston Comforter. I read the other reviews and honestly ordered with some hesitation, but once I put the comforter on the bed it made my bedroom look like a show place. The silver shows up beautifully against my pewter colored walls. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

I agree with the other reviews--the actual comforter set doesn't look exactly like it does in the picture. It doesn' t have as much shine and it looks like a different material. I read the reviews, loved the colors, so decided to order anyway. I was a little disappointed at first, but the more I looked at it, the more it grew on me. I haven't yet used it b/c I'm waiting to move, but I cannot wait to put it on and my bed and put accessories in the same colors around the room.

this was my big mistake to buy this set. fabric quality is v poor. i bought it last month now i have to throw it away because comforter is not able to use now. bet sheets dont stay on mattress

When i got this comforter set it was a totally diffrent color than the picture. I had to take back my sheet set and my curtains because the brown wasn't the same color as in the picture. I got this to match my light blue walls and there is hardly any blue in it. And to make matters worse there were loose strings, and this set is nonrefundable. Great price, but don't expect to get what's in the picture.

I really like the comforter but it is much darker than I thought it would be. It shiped really fast and had it within a week.

I agree with the other reviews, the actual product is not as pictured online. It is basically brown with a lighter colored design and a hint of silver/blue, definitely not the shimmery bright silver/blue shown. I had read the reviews before buying so I was aware of this and I am pleased with the product for the most part. It is very beautiful and it looks good in my bedroom. The cons would be that there were several threads hanging that I had to remove and I tore a small spot with my wedding rings trying to get it out of the bag, so it is probably not kid (or husband!) friendly. I am only using it as decoration, though, not to sleep with, so it works for me and you can't beat the price for all the pieces you get.

It is so beautiful and and the craftsmanship is there. I will show it off to all my friends and tell them where I got it. Thank you for carrying such fabulous goods. I love the Big O!
