I've always wanted a cashmere throw but didn't want to spend the $250 they usually cost. You can't beat Overstock's price; the throw arrived in 3 days and the color (royal blue) is just as pictured. It's very soft, has a long fringe and it's BIG- for just a little more money than an ordinary chenille throw. I don't have use for a second one but I would definitely buy it again as a gift for someone.
I bought this blanket in the pink, and love the overall quailty and feel of this blanket. I own an expensive cashmere blanet I received as a gift, but this one cost a fraction of the price, and is very nearly as soft and just shy of buttery. Plus, the color was what I expected--it's vibrant, yet elegant . I was so pleased with my purchase that I bought 2 more colors!
I purchased the fancy Zambaiti throws for my grown children last year for Christmas. My grandson is now 1-1/2 and he loves that throw. Walks around with it saying "mine". My daughter takes it from him dragging it around so he will not destroy it. So, this year I find this Overstock offering. He will have his own throw to do with what he will. I know he'll love it. When he was at my house a month or so ago it was nap time and my son in law asked if I had a blanket. He assured me my grandson was not going to nap. I handed him my cashmere throw and he asked "are you sure?" I said absolutely. Needless to say, he napped. Kids like soft! This should work well and it is almost as nice as the fancy ones for a fraction of the cost.
I am a nurse manager of an Assisted Living. Not long ago, I noticed that one of my Hospice residents had a lovely cashmere throw. It was always with her whether she was up in her wheelchair or resting in bed. She would snuggle with it and be comforted. When my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma I decided to get her a cashmere throw, hoping it would give her comfort also. Providing comfort at the end of life is everything. I bought this throw in September and it was / is just beautiful. It is soft as butter! Mom loved it and used it everyday until she died last month. When she past away, I took it home. Now, with Mom's scent on it, I hold it, caress it, smell it and it comforts me. It is something I will always treasure.
