I ordered this to replace a waterproof one I had that was falling apart. I was worried about the siding as it usually is too stretchy and does not hold on the mattress very well. I was very please. This offers more comfort with extra padding, but not too much and the stretch siding goes all the way around and it long enough to tuck week under the mattress so it does not pull up or shift around. Even though it was a little more expensive, it has been well worth the couple of extra bucks as I don't think I will have to replace it as often as I have had to with the cheaper ones. Well worth the investment.
Love this mattress pad ....I bought this pad for my queen size bed...The quality is excellent...Very easy to put on the bed...Mattress pad was thick, and comfortable..What a great purchase. Received a lot more than I paid for! Made sure pad fit my 14 inch deep mattress B4 washing, it did. After washing on gentle, then drying with my trusted dryer balls, it came out looking Great! No pilling, no lumpy fiberfill, and more importantly NO shrinkage. Plan to purchase another for the guest room!
This mattress pad is just plain wonderful. Not only is it beautiful, the quality is great. It is nicely plush. Generous on sides, making it so easy to fit. It washes beautifully too. Just as fluffy as new; I've had it since December 2012. I will definitely order another.
The wife loves Candice as a design decorator and anything endorsed by her is worth trying. This mattress pad did not disappoint. It is not over or under "cushy". We did not want to add too much bulk on top of our new European pillow top mattress,,just surface protection. For us it was good quality and value as we are frugal shoppers (the best for less).
I searched on many sites, including major department stores, and this mattress pad seems like an excellent value for the price. I just put it on the bed last week so I can't attest to how it holds up in the washing machine but I would use the gentle cycle. One detail that wasn't described online are the sides. Reviewers of other pads didn't like that the skirt was "papery" or cheaply made. I have had mattress pads like that and I really didn't want to get another one that didn't comfortably and tightly fit under the mattress. This Candace Olsen one has fabulous material on the sides!! Soft, yet durable and easily goes over the mattress. The only slight negative is that when you put the pad on the mattress, there are a couple of inches around the pad -- it doesn't quite go to the very end of all sides of the mattress. Not a big deal at all -- doesn't affect the comfort. Still worth an excellent review.
Nice to have under the sheets, I like the fabric and just enough puff. The edge/side material is not the best nor the worst....should last without ripping and will most likely fit all mattresses on the market. I have not washed it yet...should be fine and not shrink...if anything bad does happen I'll update my comment. For the price this is the best I've ever found.....thinking of getting one or two more
We own this mattress pad in a queen and king. It is nice quality, has a generous pocket and fits over our mattresses that already have built in pads. I appreciate the separately sewn baffles and the fact that it is NOT waterproof (I find waterproof materials stifling in the warmer months). It works for us.
We've had this pad on our firm memory foam king mattress for a while now, I guess I was expecting the loft in the padding to last longer before it started to flatten out. After reading some of the positive reviews, I have to wonder if they had it a while before they posted. I was thrilled with the thickness and design of the pad. It still does the job of making the mattress feel softer.
To recommend or not, that is the question, and I have to be honest. What bothers me about it might not bother somebody else. It is comfortable, but I do not like the fact that the squares are so pronounced that they show through the fitted sheet which causes the sheet to wrinkle a little. If this was the first one I bought, I wouldn't have anything to compare it to, but I loved the last one I had so much, that this one disappoints me in comparison. To each his own, I guess. That is the one disadvantage of shopping online and not being able to see what you are getting. I'm going to live with it for now.
OK this mattress pad is OK, well, better than the previous, cheap ones I bought. It's compfy and at least it stays on the bed!!! That's what I was looking for. One that STAYED on the bed!! But alas it slips around after a few days and has to be readjusted, but at least it does not come loose on the ends and you have to make up the whole dang bed! oh: FYI: I had a mattress pad that had about 20 patches in it because I couldn't find one that stayed on the bed. My search continues
I ordered a Cal King, and even though it says Cal King on the tag, it is a King size mattress pad. Cal King is narrower and longer, so the pad is short and too wide for my bed. The only saving grace is the deep pockets. Again, labeled as a Cal King, but measures out to be a King.
Looks good, feels good. I have it to protect my Sealy memory foam mattress. The mattress has cooling gel. So far I haven't slept warm, so the little bit of padding from the cover doesn't seem to affect that too much. I've only slept on it a few nights and it is November.
