towel doesn't absorb water off the bodyRead More
very pleased with these towels, i wasn't expecting much for the price, but the towels are of a nice thickness, neither too thin, nor too thick. I would call them the Goldilocks of towels. It would be great if they had a wider range of colors, but i worked with what they had. I purchased the Sand and the color appeared to be true to what i see in the pic. Also purchased the matching 6 piece set and the colors were the same, no variation at all.Read More
I decided to try bath sheets for the first time and ordered this set of 2 bath sheets in moss green. The color is quite intense and the feel on my skin when I dry myself is cuddly and soft plus I can wrap my whole body in these 'sheets'. They wash nicely (I use cold water to preserve the color and to avoid shrinkage) and I dried on medium heat in the dryer. My only negative is there is apparently a paper tag someplace on the towels that dissolves into bits of paper in my washer..made a big mess though most of the paper ended up in the dryer filter. I don't know where this paper is because it is all gone now but I'd look before washing and snip the paper tag off.Read More
These are true to the colors shown and are very soft. They don't hold up well in the washer, mine seem to be fraying in the middle more like a towel that's a year old than 2 months.Read More
I own these towels and have had them for some time. They are thick and absorbent and huge and comfortable. I noticed a review on here that said these towels were not absorbent at all. What a lot of people don't know is that if you wash your towels and use fabric softener (i.e., Downy, Suavitel, Cuddle soft, Snuggle, etc.), the fabric softener reduces and often eliminates the absorbency of the towels. The reason being is that the fabric softener leaves a chemical layer on the towels that softens the fabric and releases scent. This layer blocks the absorbtion of water. If this has happened to your towels, you only need wash them a few times and the absorbency will return.Read More
The towels are soft and beautiful as promised. My only dissatisfaction is with the quality of the seams. I washed the towels before using them and when I removed the towels one of them already had the seam come apart and was starting to fray. I plan on re-sewing the seam myself, but I wouldn't buy these towels again.Read More
The thickness of the towels is amazing. They are soft to the touch and are very absorbent. I'll order them again.Read More
Really great towels! Very absorbent, and they come in subtle unexpected colors which suited me very well. Many of these colors complement the others perfectly, and I love how big they are. Thanks Overstock!Read More
Very soft and luxurious. They do absorb water well, but they are so soft it feels like your skin is still wet! After 2 washings, they seem to be holding up well.Read More

Where are these made?

I think these towels are not completely 100% cotton. My research seems to think Supima and Egyptian cotton are comparable but either this is not the case or these towels are not 100% cotton
In response to last poster: The towels are surely 100% cotton. Cotton can vary in quality however. The description states the loops are 100% Supima cotton. They make no claims about the type of cotton used in the rest of the towel, presumably not Supima or the loop distinction would not have been made. Supima and Egyptian cotton are considered the two cottons that are superior, with some having preferences for one over the other (and others like me would never notice the difference). Supima cotton refers to cotton originally grown by Pima Indians in AZ. It's still grown in the southwestern US, and mostly exported to be spun into cloth. Superior refers to the textile process, IIRC, hence Su-Pima. Pima cotton is also grown in S. America, and then it's called just Pima cotton. Egyptian cotton only means the cotton was grown in Egypt. It could be any quality but most often specifies their high quality cotton. For cotton, the length of the staple that is obtained when spun into cloth is perhaps the most important factor for softness, strength, and durability. Textile mills in Asian countries have shut down US textile mills and now import much of the world's country raw cotton. The finest mills though, used by top fashion designers, are reputed to be in Switzerland (using Egyptian cotton). An equally important question for towels is the GSM, or grams/sq, meter, which refers to the weight of the cloth used, i.e. whether the towel is thick or thin. If it's a heavy towel, the GSM will be advertised in the description. This towel doesn't say what its GSM is, hence my guess is that it's 600-650 GSM, a medium weight towel. And that is all and more one might want to know about cotton.
