Be forewarned: This comforter has a serious shedding problem. Although I use a duvet cover, there is constant leakage of feathers, down, and dust particles from the comforter seams and through the fabric itself. As another reviewer has also noted, this material ends up coating everything on and around the bed, causing a highly dusty and allergenic environment. I now have to invest in a zippered comforter case to contain this leakage; king-size duvet encasements run anywhere from $80 to $250 for allergy-proof material. While the comforter is of a good weight and very warm, I definitely would *not* recommend making this purchase -- unless you happen to like living in a henhouse.

I got this comforter because the description says end-to-end baffle box construction. Well, it does NOT have end-to-end baffles. It has only partial baffles, which means each baffle box has a 2-3 inch opening. All the openings line up, allowing the down to shift (and thus shift down to the edges of the comforter). I bought this because I currently have a (better and cheaper) comforter from lnt, that has higher fill power and hungarian goose down, but that also only has partial baffles. This means a couple times a week we have to shake it up to get the down to move back to the middle of the comforter. SO, I bought the Buckingham set to prevent this issue, but it has the same problem! I cannot speak to its fluff power because as soon as I checked the baffles, back into the box it went. The fabric is pretty and the pillows are soft and fluffy, but flatten easily. To O's credit, their customer service was amazing, and they sent me a prepaid shipping label to return it, and said they would change the baffle box description, since its incorrect, but I see it still has not changed. I love the O and this comforter could be great if you don't mind partial baffles, but be aware this is what you will get.

I have been looking for the perfect comforter and finally decided to try this one after reading the positive reviews. Maybe I did not get the same comforter as some of the other people who reviewed this item, but I did not find this thick or fluffy. It was thin but I thought it is fine for the warmer months. It is soft and the fabric quality seems nice so I will keep it. It's a nice purchase but not a great one.

Warm enough. Feel and consistency is good. HOWEVER, since day 1 there are little feather pieces everywhere. The low threadcount lets everything through, and even with a 400TC duvet the feathers would find their way out. Thousands of little feather particles sticking to everything. Eventually bought a 600TC duvet cover which keeps everything in but only after affixing 30 snaps along the opening to keep it pretty shut. We still use, but its an absolute must to go outside to change out the duvet since all the built up feathers are just sitting there waiting to float away.

This is a HUGE bargain - if you are in the market for a down comforter, you would be remiss to not get in on this deal! The quality is amazing - it has great loft, is well made, and so so warm. This is the third down comforter I have bought in my life - and by far the best. And it was the best deal for my money!

I purchase this item cause of the rating. However, the quality is ok. We have trouble with the feather coming out of the comforter. Its very bad, the duvet cover doesn't help. The feather gets to our clothes, furniture, and under our bed. Its too late to return it but it too expensive to buy another one. Good luck.

I was very pleased with this product. This is the thickest down comforter I have ever owned. The price was great. I spent the same amount on a RL down comforter and it was not this big and over stuffed. It is very soft and very warm. The pillows are standard size, even if you order a king set. There was a light chemically smell that was gone in 48hrs. When using it as a comforter, you will need a bed skirt because it will not cover your box springs.

The down is shifting to squares not normally used like sliding to the ends of the comforter. The fabric and quality is great, just the down is shifting

The comforter set is perfectly fluffy and soft and comfortable and warm and smashing on my bed. Such a great value for the money. I was worried about the "smell" that people were talking about, but I guess those folks have never owned down before. There is NO oppressive odor. Oh, and the best thing is that that pillows have no hard quills poking out. Very nice quality better then anything I was looking at in local chain store and comparable to the high quality comforters I saw is expensive home and linen shops. So nice. So pleased with this purchase. Shop with confidence on this one. Good luck!

When it came time to purchase a new comforter, I did my research. For the thread count and fill power, this one is a great deal for the money. I view the pillows as a throw-in, which was nice. Great quality, comfort, and warmth in a comforter you will pay at least twice the price for anywhere else. This one is a bit wider than most others offered on this site (which is also nice), but make sure to buy a duvet cover with similar dimensions as many are not as wide.

Don't buy this down comforter based on the picture. It doesn't look like the picture, and it's quality is average. I bought it based on others' reviews, but I was disappointed with the comforter. If you hold it up to the light, you see that many of the boxes on the comforter are half filled with feathers and the other half are empty. The stitching on the edges was frayed in many places ( i can't imagine how long until all of the stitching comes undone and feathers leak). I'm returning this comforter and buying one in a store, where I can touch and feel what I'm buying, plus get a warranty. It's just one of those products you have to dish out $$ for and invest in.

I first bought this set 5 years ago and was absolutely thrilled. Last year when I was heading to Europe I decided to get a second set. I had to send the one they first sent me back. After 2 weeks of airing it still had a horrendous smell. The pillow however were wonderful. The replacement set had no smell at all (must come from different factories or geese;) ). However, the pillows with the second set were much flatter and the tag actually read 75% down - the others had no such tag and were noticeable fluffier like those of my first set. I still think that this is a great deal but quality has definitely gone down over the years. Also make sure that you are there to check the set out. If I had not been able to send back the first set I would have been very unhappy.

The only fault of this set is that it - combined with the feather bed I bought from Overstock as well - sucks all the will I have to get up in the morning. My husband has been late for work three days in the past week since we got them.

I shopped around for my first down comforter and was surprised to see that this set cost about half of what department stores charge for a down comforter alone. I like that this is a comforter set with 2 down pillows, which goes great with my duvet cover set with 2 pillow shams that I also purchased on Overstock.com. The comforter is made of 100% down so there are no feathers sticking out. I used to sleep with 2-3 thick blankets, which would sometimes fall off my bed, but this comforter alone was enough to keep me warm at night. It's also lightweight enough that I can move and breathe. I love how it drapes over the edges and stays in place while I sleep. This also means less time spent making the bed in the morning. The baffle box construction is supposed to keep the down evenly distributed, but I have noticed some thinner see-through squares. I would rather have medium-to-firm support so I use the down pillows for display only. This is just a matter of personal preference, and I knew what I was buying. Even without the pillows, the comforter alone is worth the price. These aren't huge problems to me since I got great value for my money.

I usually like to see what other people like to say about a product before I make a purchase, but I went with this product. I have absolutely no complaints about this product. It looks just like the picture, and it is very soft, fluffy, and comfortable. The down is summed up in one word. dreamy. There are no feathers in this one, only down. I would definitely recomment this to anybody. I have owned 3 down comforters now, and this one is right up there with the best.

I did a lot of research about down comforters and after much debate, we chose this one based on the product description and customer satisfaction. We are very happy with it. The comforter is soft, comfy and warm. I have noticed very few downs escape, but no big deal. This could be from the initial packaging or from the pillows, but no big deal. The comforter is warm enogh on its own. To give you an idea, we keep it between 60 and 65 at night. We've been using the comforter with a coverlet and it's been a little too warm at times. So, we're getting rid of the coverlet. The pillows are average and a nice addition to the overall look of the bed, but because it's on the lower end with filling, it's pretty soft. If you like a thicker, firmer pillow, you'll need another pillow or you can use both and leave your significant other out in the cold. Overall, we're satisfied and would buy another one in a heartbeat.

This is exactly what I wanted. The price was way less than what I've found in department stores. The quality is exceptional. It fluffed up in hours and I love it. My friends can't believe what I payed.

Let me just say that the first impression I had as the box was opened was "Wow, this looks really nice!"It did need some fluffing after being packed tightly in a small box for god knows how long. I noticed no strong odors or arrant feathers. There were a few loose threads from the manufacturing process but this is no big deal, sniped them off with scissors and that was solved.I purchased this product because....1) It had the most down of any comforter I looked at on this site2) It is made right here in the US.3) It is hypoallergenic.The quality is definitely worth the extra money. LOTS of down and again, just a great product. After using it I can say this, it was definitely warm and cozy, almost too much for me, but my wife LOVES it. We live in wintery, cold Michigan, so when I say it is warm, I mean it. Warm enough for Michigan winters, not Arizona winters like some of the other reviews you've read.With any down comforter you have to fluff it every week or so, but I haven't noticed the feathers moving around too much. The pillows were also very nice. Same quality as the feather bed. If you are looking for a great product for the price, then I would strongly recommend this one.It doesn't come with a cover, so if you want one you'll need to purchase it separately. It is dry clean only, but that to be expected with a feather bed.Finally, I purchased a king size and the size seems to be right on. Fits my king bed perfectly. Not a lot extra hanging off the sides and not too small so my wife and I aren't battling for the covers.FIVE plus stars!!!!I may update this again after a few months of use, but so far I am extremely happy with this purchase.

everything about this transaction was wonderful! shipping was so quick and i got just what i was looking for and some. the quality is just wonderful!

The comforter is very nice and well made takes a while for it to fluff, disappointed in the pillows very small for King size bed.
