these are nice, the 2 inch thick is even better. buy the next size larger if you can, a king for a queen for example. they tend to shrink in the package before delivery and you would be better with too big than too small, yes? if your old mattress is very soft and worn these may not be enough but for most folks with an uncomfortable but still sturdy matress this kind of foam is a godsend as it was for me with my bad disks. memory foam pillows are very good too. Yes, memory foam is a bit warm in the summer so look for sateen sheets which are cooling. i did and it worked out well. thanks overstock! one more note- these smell a lot when you first open, so i aired out outside a few hours.

Have ordered several memory foam pads from O and always satisfied until now. This one was overly smelly, and the color was an ugly grey / blue with black flecks in it. This was not how it was pictured online. It showed thru my ecru sheets and made them look dirty. To top it all off, I had to pay $15 to return what I consider a defective product !

chunks of foam was cut out of one mattress topper. Both tops have yellow age lines on them. Neither topper completely covers the mattress which makes it look like it's too small for the mattress.

I have been having some medical problems for the last 2 yrs. therefore not sleeping was a big one. I was so happy to be able to sleep all night I ordered one for my 85 yr. old Mother who was also having trouble sleeping she is also able to sleep all night. We are thrilled with our memory foam toppers at a price we could afford What a great item at a great price. Thank You so much from both of us.

The memory foam mattress topper works better than I ever thoughy it could. Even though it is only one and one-half inch thick, it provides the best comfort anyone could want. I have already recommended it to a couple of people. Very good and so reasonably priced.

It helped make and old,hard mattress comfortable this product should be on every bed.

I ordered King size for a Queen size bed after reading other reviews about the fit. Cut off excess with scissors with out any problem. It only lay out for a day and a half and was able to put it on the bed. Some people complained about strong chemical odor. There was no odor at all. I purchased this for my 28 year old son because he has back problems, every morning he wakes up complaining about his back hurting. Has not complained since this pad has been put on his bed. Very Happy with this purchase!

This is the best memory foam topper I have ever purchased. I recently have suffered from shoulder pain and now I am starting to get some relief. Thank you for this great product.

I bought this mattress topper for my daughter at college and she loved it. It made the bed much more comfortable.

This is the second time I have purchased this item. It was wonderful on my previous softer bed, but or my current (very firm) bed I would have preferred a 2-inch. Also this runs small- if you have a Queen, order a King size and cut it down a bit, as they are all the same price.

If you are sensitive to chemical smells or have respiratory or immune disorders, you might want to think twice about this product, or at least have a strategy to let it air out for at least a week or 2 (or even longer depending on how sensitive you are) somewhere you won't be smelling it. I have had this mattress topper for a few weeks, and when my nose is right next to it (in bed) I still get a whiff of the chemical smell from time to time. I also have a tiny apartment and had no spare room to leave it in to air out. I am however happy with the increase of comfort that it gives to my futon. Not being a fan of synthetics, I got a heavy quilted mattress cover to put between my sheets and this foam. I would not choose to sleep directly on the foam, even after airing it out.

This topper makes a nice difference if you have a mattress that is a little too firm and you don't want too much extra height on an already high mattress (ours is 16"). I wouldn't recommend this size if your mattress is very firm; in that case I would recommend a 3". I was pleasantly surprised to see that it is a Serta product. Description on Overstock doesn't mention that. Absolutely follow the enclosed directions. I turned the heat up in our bedroom to speed up the decompression of the pad. Let it unroll on its own and then very gently unfold. Mine had no odor at all. I have purchased several memory foam toppers over the years and have always been disappointed that they never measure the same as the mattress. We have a queen bed and solved that by ordering the king topper and just trimming one side off to fit perfectly. Shipping was very quick as usual with Overstock.

I sleep so much better with the temperpedic mattress topper. I have actually purchased 2 since I was given mine for a birthday present. Great price and great product.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...finally, a goodnight's sleep! Next time I might try one just a little thicker, though I may never leave bed if I do. I have recommended this topper to many of my friends already.

I purchased this product in lieu of buying a new mattress. My mattress was no longer comfortable to me, but it was in good shape and I couldn't really afford to replace it. After talking to many people who have used and reccommed the Memory Foam, I purchased this one. It's unreal. My bed has been transformed, even with this thickness, which some people said wouldn't be enough. I don't like super-soft beds, though, so I didn't think I needed more than 2 inches. The price was right on the 1.5, so that's what I went with, and I don't regret it. Every night when I climb in bed, I smile because I am in complete comfort and know I am going to get a good night's sleep. My only negative is the length of the product. If I match the foam up with one end or side of my mattress, there's an empty space of about 1-2 inches on the opposite end or side. I can feel the end of the foam and the empty space at my feet which is weird. I wish it were a little bigger - it doesn't seem like it would be hard to cut, so if it were too large for someone's bed, they could just trim it to the right size themselves. That would be my preference, anyway. But, in the larger scheme of things, that isn't that big a deal. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product.

I bought the mattress topper for my granddaughter's twin bed. She loves it, and has told me it's like sleeping on a cloud! I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I have a 3" topper on my bed, and it's wonderful, too. The thicker the foam, the softer the mattress. I would buy the thickest topper you can afford. You won't regret it. And Overstock has the BEST prices anywhere!

We needed a solution for our mattresses that we had recently bought. We had chosen firm mattresses with a memory foam layer but it was not enough for comfort, even for our teenagers. The 1 1/2 inch topper for them and the 2 inch topper for us are perfect for our needs. No more complaints and the quality is excellent , especially since I was a little concerned about purchasing something sight unseen. I don't think anyone would be disappointed. I did put ours under the mattress pads though which keeps it more comfortable for my husband who sweats easily.
