Based on previous reviews, I bought this for a guest room that I was trying to upgrade. While the fabric isn't cozy to the touch -- it's polyester and does catch on rings -- it looks very plush and makes the guest room look like a million bucks. I bought the matching pillow set and together it makes the room look very "luxe." I wound up painting the room a neutral taupe and the comforter really pops. I wouldn't recommend this for a room where you use the comforter every night and expect it to keep you warm and cozy, but for a room that's used only infrequently, where looks matter more than comfort, I think it's great.

The quality of this comforter is VERY good. Even after reading all the reviews I hesitated about ordering a comforter on line but the price convinced me to try. It is a beautiful well made item. Other buyers were right on about the color. It's not red so much as a brick red but it's an elegant red. The comforter is thicker than I thought it would be and, following advice from other buyers, I bought the matching pillows and am as happy with them as with the comforter. I seldom say this but this is a comforter you won't go wrong purchasing. I've seen them for a lot more money and the quality wasn't there as it is with this one. I'm having my bedroom painted a "warm toast" this weekend to help make the red and gold colors "pop". Truly a quite remarkable buy.

i absolutely love this set! i was sure to read all the reviews on this set and noticed that more than one person said that it looked more burgandy than red. this is one of the reasons i chose this product, i needed someones opinion before i bought it. i am so glad i did, it is the exact color i needed to match our existing curtains. it is rich and beautiful looking without spending alot. i would definetly reccomend this set to enhance the look of your bedroom! by the way, my husband loves it too! thanks.

The comforter set Is really nice. It is very thick.... I love it..... so much I orderd my mother one.. And the pillows are great as well U cant beat the price... Thank you Overstock.

This comforter set is very beautiful; the quality of the fabric and workmanship is excellent.

This set would easily sale for 3x the Overstock price at the mall. I really love it. The colors are beautiful. This is not a true red, more of a rust. The gold shimmers. I wish I could find curtains to match. The fabric does seem as though it might snag. I make sure to keep a blanket across the bottom where my English Bulldog sleeps. She seems to really find it comfortable! I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a beautiful set to jazz up their bedroom.

Loved the quality and look of this comforter set along with an affordable price. The only problem I had was the color was not true to the picture and description. It showed a truer red and arrived more of an orange red.

Gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous. Very nice rich colors and great quality. The only negative thing is that it's called "red" but it's really mostly copper/rust. Still works for me, but might not work for someone who really needed a lot of red

I just got this in the mail and it is soooo nice. It is really thick and the fabric is wonderful. If you like the picture you will love it when you get it home.

this is a beautiful looking set. The colors are true. Very bright, colorful and expensive looking. It is loosely quilted and the threads pick easily. I have to keep it covered unless company is over or it would be ragged by now.

the comforter is fine! but the threads started to come off from the pillows!

I ordered this set along with the matching pillows just over a year ago and we still love it. It has held up well and still looks new. We have a thick king size mattress and the comforter fits greats.

Great color and perfect size. Exactly the look I was hoping to obtain. top fabric snags - alot - very fragile [right word?]. very warm and most comfortable.

I was nervous to order online and spent several months perusing the choices. The positive reviews and price on this set finally sold me. I am so pleased with this set. I ordered the accent pillows as well and can't stop going into our room to admire it. I was reluctant, too, to order something under $100 but this is tremendous value and I would have paid more and been just as happy. The comforter color is true to the picture but the accent pillows are, in reality, more brick red than scarlet as they look in the photo. Overall the set adds richness and luxury to our bedroom. I would recommend this highly.

This bedding is perfect! I wanted something red but not bright red. I love the gold/copper accents. The comforter is not heavy which is very nice. The bedskirt is very pretty. I love the detail on the side. This purchase was well worth the money. I love Overstock.com.
