Bentley Deluxe Bedding Ensemble

Very nice set, but not as pictured. Picture shows an offwhite; this is a flax linen in color and in texture, with a center panel of flax colored two tone jacquard. Trim is crushed linen velvet. I have a large overstuffed King mattress, and the bedskirt and the comforter are both long enough

This bedding was not my first choice but another company I was dealing with substituted what I ordered for a set I had actually vetoed so I was desperate. It turned out to be a less expensive alternative that I really like. The pillows inside the Euro shams are not the greatest quality so I may be replacing them at some point. I'll need to have the bedskirt shortened by a seamstress too. I thought the 15-inch drop would be ok with my Tempurpedic but I didn't have the bed yet when I ordered the bedding so I couldn't measure. The bedskirt is tailored with very clean lines but just too darn long! I also don't remember seeing any information on the fabric or cleaning instructions in the description before I ordered. That would have been really helpful - I found out that it is all 'dry clean only' which would have been something I would have considered before ordering. I almost always prefer purchasing bedding that is machine washable. The bedding is a little darker than how it appears in the picture which I was happy to find out. The dark carpet on the floor in the picture makes it seem much lighter than it actually is. I live in a pretty moderate climate but the nights can get pretty cold. The first night we used the bedding, we had a sheet, a blanket, and the comforter on the bed. We took the blanket off the next night because we were so warm. The comforter is extremely thick, so that plus a sheet is really all you need. We may try the blanket again in the winter or store it until we move somewhere with actual seasons. I had to trim a lot of threads from the comforter too which I guess is just something you deal with when you buy mass-produced bedding. The biggest issue I had was with the shipping company. In the future I would pay for expedited shipping to avoid some of the problems I had with getting the bedding when I needed it. Overall, the bedding is nice and I have gotten several compliments on it. We'll have to see how it holds up to being dry cleaned though. We don't let the animals on it so hopefully it won't have to be cleaned that often.
