Mattress Pad
I have purchased much more expensive mattress pads which aren't half as nice. The quilted top with the plasticized waterproof material on the bottom keeps you from sweating. I was most pleased with this items and have purchased them for all my beds.

Do not buy this pad
This pad leaked badly after the third washing. We followed the washing instructions carefully so that was not the problem. There were no cracks or holes that were visible but we might as well have had nothing at all on the bed given the amount that came through. This is an inferior product. Do not buy it.

Beautyrest Mattress Cover
I was very pleased by the product, overall. The fabric is smooth and comfortable and, it doesn't use any vinyl sheeting to make it waterproof. As a result, you never hear the cold sounds of vinyl crackling under you when you change positions. It is also deep enough to cover a large mattress, so it fits the bed beautifully. If you are like I am and many, many others, who find eating in bed is not only a comfort but comfortable, you'll want to make sure that you'll be anticipating any damage that might occur. Spills, from a liquid source is potentially one of the worst accidents and one of the most damaging to a mattress. That's when you can take comfort in knowing that your mattress is well protected by an upscale, well made ,"fool proof" mattress cover like the Ultimate Beautyrest Protective Mattress Cover. Excellent!
I bought this set after doing a lot of research on mattress' pads. I have a two year old who is just starting potty training so a mattress pad is essential. However I did not want to buy one that would fall apart after one wash. I am so impressed with this! It made the bed very soft, the pillow like top is wonderful. Also it doesn't make the typical crunching sound most mattress covers produce.

Terrible Mattress Pad Protector
The quality of this product was very poor. Because it has plastic under the fabric padding, it smelled like a skunk and you had to wash it before placing this on your bed. I followed washing instructions to a tee, but halfway through the wash cycle, the entire mattress pad fell apart. I was very disappointed and called Overstock for a full refund.

Got sweaty at night from your regular body heat
Hi, I'm not a hot sleeper and every night I got very poor sleep from the fact the mattress pad was plastic/not breathable. Would wake up sweaty on one side, and freezing on the other. Threw it away after a week and purchased a plain mattress pad. Sorry Beautyrest!

Didn't work for us, but might work for others
We bought the Beautyrest Ultimate Protection Waterproof Mattress pad with the full understanding it would have a plastic backing. Therefore we expected it to be somewhat noisy and, truth be told, it really was not that noticeable. The problem was the mattress pad did not fit snuggly on our mattress with the result it slid back and forth and bunched up. Part of the problem may have been we have a relatively thin mattress, about 9" thick, and this mattress pad seems to have been designed for a much thicker mattress. If incontinence had been a problem, we would have kept the mattress pad and used mattress pad suspenders to make it fit tightly on our bed, but, since that was not the case, decided to stick with our old, non-waterproof, mattress pad.

Too Hot For Us
I read all the reviews on this product and hoped it wouldn't be too hot to sleep on. I didn't realize there is a layer of plastic on the bottom of the pad. I would have returned it but threw away my paperwork, luckily a friend said she could use it.
