My friends recommended getting a waterproof mattress pad (something I've never had) - so I went to a local store and bought a Serta one for approximately $40. Imagine my HORROR the first night we slept on it and found 1) it sounded like we were sleeping on a bag of potato chips and 2) both my husband and I sweated our butts off because of the plastic on the pad. It was HORRIBLE! I returned it the next day and verified with my friend that hers did not do that. I then went in search of a better quality one - but found them to be running anywhere between 80-100. Seemed a bit high, for a mattress pad, so I decided to search the web, and found this little wonder (thanks to other's reviews.) I bought a queen - it arrived in only a couple of days - and we LOVED it the first night. We have a tall mattress, so the extra deep pockets worked great. It fits perfectly - it does NOT sound like a bag of potato chips when you roll over - nor does it cause you to sweat. It also seems to stay in place with no problem. We have not washed it yet (so can't speak to the people who said the sides were thinning) - but we love it. So much so - that today I've logged on to get one for our King, as well. Great find!! Couldn't be happier!
I purchased the Beautyrest 400 count pima mattress pad, package was ok the paper work for the mattress pad was missing. the top of the mattress pad was fine but the sides are cheap and too big. I kept it wasn`t going to pay the shipping to have it sent back company needs to take more pride in their work.
I have had this product one month and thought it was perfect after washing and putting on my mattress for the first time. After another washing today I noticed holes in the topper material when I put in on the mattress. These will only get worse with further use. I expect better quality from Beautyrest.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received the two full size and one queen size pads. I washed and put them on the beds immediately. they fit very well even on the queen which is a pillow top mattress that is thick. I was pleased enough that I already ordered a King size pad for my bed.
Not sure what size mattress this was planned for but it goes on a 13 inch mattress here and the skirting is definitely way too big. It only has the stretch stitching at the bottom one third of the skirt so the rest of it is billowing out of the size of the mattress all the time. Since I use fitted sheets, I can hide most of that, but it can be a nuisance. I got a new mattress at the time and needed the pad desperately and did not have the time or the money to get a different one so I kept it. The top is very nice but still not sure if it was a defect in the pad or if that is the way they all are. I would love to read a review from others to see if I got a defective product or not. Gosh and Beautyrest is such a good brand -- this time I am really surprised.
We just bought a new memory foam mattress set, so I wasn't looking to 'refresh' but wanted a good mattress pad. I decided on this one based on the description, other reviews & price. It fits perfectly, no shifting. It compliments the new mattress in comfort: I wake up in the same position I fall asleep in...don't think my body feels the need to readjust due to pressure points. Highly recommended!
I have a 20" mattress had a cover that kept coming loose. The picture and description of this looked like the sides were sturdier and I thought it would stay tucked in. Turns out its exactly the same one as I have. The top is very nice, cushy and quality fabric. However the sides are sheer with elastic bands that are not very strong. So you can pull it to various depths, but if you need every inch of the sides like I do, it won't stay tucked in. I have better luck if someone else helps me put it on so that we can really pull it tight and tuck in all the way around. I would try garter-like strips on it but the mattress is too heavy to lift! I can barely get my hand in to tuck the pad. For the price, I'm ok with this and will keep it. There aren't any other choices out there!
