After spending a fortune on the crummy "Discount Store" electric blankets and having every one of them bite the dust, I decided to give this one a shot. Well--let me tell you--this has been the BEST warming blanket that I've ever owned. I got the twin size in Chili Pepper; it works for me on my double bed as I sleep with only a cat! As far as the color, it is quite strikingly bright and attractive. The material is light, soft, flexible, and seems to be of high quality. The best feature by far is the "preheat" setting....about 10--15 minutes before getting into bed, I turn it on to "Preheat, High" and presto---it's toasty warm when I crawl in. Because it's quite warm, I turn it down lower before going to sleep. I also love the safety feature which shuts the blanket off after 10 hours in case I forget. I definitely would purchase this blanket again, although I hope not to have to replace it anytime soon. Overall, this is a great blanket and I would recommend it to others!

I have previously purchased one of these blankets before, a little over a year ago. At the time bought the queen size. Absolutely fell in love with it; has dual controls. I needed another this time for a single bed, choose the navy blue color for my teenage son (his room sits over the garage and is always drafty). Solved the problem, with a the purchase of this blanket. Heats up quickly just like the queen size version. Has adjustable settings of L thru 10. The color navy is spectacular, even more appealing than I had expected. Lightweight, not clunky. Very worthwhile investment. Price is actually reasonable (had done some comparison shopping at noted bedding and linen stores). Getting a very good price through Overstock.

I ordered this in the Chili Pepper color. I hoped the color would match the website picture, but it is a much darker, drab color. I think this will be fine for winter, but I am disappointed in the color. Still a great price though.

I have only used this product once since purchase as the weather is too warm now. I prefer a lighter blanket, but the heavier ones tend to last longer. Great price . Fabric is not as soft as I like.

Having lived with an electric blanket of questionable reliability for years, we find this new Beautyrest Cozy Max a big relief with respect to reliability and safety. The dual controls (we bought a queen size) are easy to use and easy to read; the control performs a safety check each time the blanket is turned on and turns it off automatically, should we forget to do so, after ten hours. The soft, lightweight fabric is both comfortable and pleasing to the eye, and has sufficient margin beyond the wires to allow minimal tucking in without danger of overheating. We find, however, that despite warnings against laying anything over the blanket we do need to have an additional cover available to retain heat when the bed has been warmed and the blanket can be turned off.

This blanket works great, dual controls , pet hair does not stick to it , a plus when you have pets.Can't beat the price for a king size name brand electric blanket.

It has been a cold winter in Northern Indiana and with energy prices soaring we have tried everthing to reduce costs. We have tons of blankets on all the beds, and we keep the house at a balmly 65 degrees. So how does an electric blanket fit into our lifestyle. We turn on the blanket shortly before going to bed and it removes the chill from the sheets, and then we turn it off/down when we go to bed. When I was looking for a solution to the cold sheet dilemma, I looked first at mattress pads and found that for our queen bed they were $140. When I found this blanket at Overstocks I was elated. It offers two zones, so I can turn my side off when I hit the hay, but allow my wife to put hers on low for a bit of added warmth. It does a wonderful job of preheating our bed. It provides enough warmth that we could remove all other blankets and just use it if we wanted to. In fact one night I forgot to turn off my side of the bed (I was enjoying being warm), and I woke up at 3am drenched in sweat, because I was way too warm and this was with the thermostat set at 5 (out of 10). The only downside with this blanket is that I don't care for the material it is not cozy, but since we use it between a sheet and our comforter, I don't notice it at all.

Bought it for my daughter. She loves it. The color displayed is true. Terrific value.

These are very nice quality, warm blankets. I bought two. I love the control. So very easy to operate and see. I've actually been using it for about two years and I'm finally getting around to reviewing it! An oversight....thought I had done it!

Beautiful red color and lightweight, however, this blanket under the comforter started to fuzz and shead little red fuzzies all over.

This is a great item, but, I purchased the navy blue one. The only problem is it sheds blue fibers and they get on EVERYTHING. Anything that touches my bed gets covered by the fibers.

Excellent blanket and value. It warms up very quickly and when it says hot...it means hot. I can't believe I went so long without one and am very happy I found this one.

It is everything I hoped for as far as making me warm---instant response and it looks nice. Price was pleasantly low.

As always the blanket is really soft and ideal for anyone to use.. I purchased it for my grandson and he loves it!!!! Price was even better!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never been disappointed in anything from Overstock. I find it so easy to purchase from Overstock and love the small fee for shipping.

This is the second one I have purchased. My friend is undergoing radiation treatment and is always cold. Because I love mine so much, I gave this one to her. Winters are cold here and she really appreciates getting into a warm bed.

this cozy max queen chili colored blanket left little bits of fabric all over the house. they even got on top of a baseball cap, and in our hair which we could see when we combed our tresses. a real nuisance. * each control needs it's own outlet, which takes up valuable outlet space in our motorhome. * the color was beautiful, the fabric plush, but too much of a nuisance with the lint, so we returned it.

I read the reviews before I ordered this in the fall 2008 (hunter green, queen), and it did not always get a positive review. I ordered it anyways, and I am glad I did. The quality is nice- heavy-color is great, and it heats well. It does not get hot, but it warms the bed. So far no problem with this product!

This blanket only lasted one year. The warranty was for two years but when the controller went out & I needed a replacement I was told one was being sent to me which it never came & I could not get a call back from customer serviice regarding the control, I left several messages. I beliece they went out of business!!! I would not reccomend this product to anyone!!

Ordered two blankets and this one barely heats up. I bought a full size which comes with one control which is not sufficient. Whether it is set on hi or low it barely changes temperature and is not even luke warm. I hope I can return it. The other blanket I purchased in a queen size and it is fabulous - it warms up quickly and stays warm - buy the Royal Velvet blanket instead.

I looked high and low on the net websites for electric blankets to have shipped to my Mom ( Dec 2008), not realizing Overstock carried them. In my research I found that many of these electric blankets purported to be economical and had brand names *I'd heard of* were also the exact ones that would be broken, would not heat up *by the next season*and/or one *half would break while the other half would work* !?! This particular brand was the only one that got multiple consistent good reviews per the *independent* reviewers on the net. I was also pleased that my Mom's TWIN size was just right for her on her FULL sized bed! eg., edge to edge (top edge to top edge) on full sized matteress. So, possibly save a few bucks and get the smaller and easier to store/handle adequate TWIN size. I gave it a 4 on material because the blanket material was not the softest, but with a sheet underneath, no problem against your skin. My Mom is 70, ~picky and just won't stop talking about this blanket. She even goes to bed early to lay there and read under it. She sleeps much better. Note that the majority of them have 10-hour use cycles and automatically shut-off.
