These towels are nice enough. The material is soft and the color is nice. I like the size - they aren't huge like some bath towels. I don't think the quality is anything amazing. There are definitely loose threads here and there and they seem to show wear pretty quick. They don't take forever to dry because they aren;t really heavy or thick which is nice. I took the advice of another reviewer and washed them in white vinegar before their first wash and that did a great job of killing the chemical smell.

very pleased with these towels, i wasn't expecting much for the price, but the towels are of a nice thickness, neither too thin, nor too thick. I would call them the Goldilocks of towels. It would be great if they had a wider range of colors, but i worked with what they had. I purchased the Sand and the color appeared to be true to what i see in the pic. Also purchased the matching bath sheets and the colors were the same, no variation at all.

I ordered the Crowning Touch Luxury Plush Bath Rug and the Crowning Touch towels in the same color (aqua blue). I was hoping for a matching set, but the towels had more green in them. The rug was obviously more blue. What really disappointed me was that the rug was blotchy looking. Instead of the solid color as shown in the picture, it looked as if someone had stained the rug with bleach. Some areas were more white and others more blue. Even after trying to smooth the material so that the grain was all going the same way, it's still very obviously blotched in appearances.

If you like thick plush towels you will not be happy with these. The entire towel set fits comfortably inside a shoebox. I do not recommend them. They went back.

I understood this to be 6 piece BATH towel set. What is in the package is 2 BATH TOWELS, 2 hand towels and 2 washcloths. I only needed bath towels, so perhaps it was just me, but I feel the description should specify that you are only recieving 2 bath towels. The quality is good, however, so instead of returning, I will be keeping them, and finding somewhere else to order the rest of the bath towels I need.

These towels are fine-- sufficient weight and quality. They are well worth the price. The experience with Overstock-- not so good. Their customer service is definitely lacking and how they go about things creates significant hassle for the customer. We will avoid ordering from Overstock in the future. There are better options out there.

I bought these as a gift. They arrived nicely packaged and as with most of my purchases at O, they were better then what I had expected. The towels were a pretty color, very much like the picture. I was pleasantly surprised how nice and thick they are. I had originally gone to Bed Bath and Beyond and priced out similar towels at close to $85 for the same set. The value and quality of these towels were well worth the order. My friend loves them.

I am a towel "snob"...I was very pleased with the turnaround from order placement to delivery receipt. The towels are what I would consider good quality but not any better than what a discerning buyer could find at a big box store or TJX type retailer for the same price or less. I cannot comment on how well they will hold up over time so that may justify the higher cost. The towels were laundered first thing and came out withought any signs of poor workmanship.

These looked beautiful out of the box, but it took me about 12 washes to finally get the fuzz from shedding all over my bathroom and me, after simple use out of the shower. Then after about 4-5 washes they started pitting and had multiple loose threads that just looked ghetto. Overall a terrible constructed towel. They did however absorb nicely but these are not worth the price.

Hasn't rotted or molded. Lets water fall below it to the floor so you don't stand in a puddle, and still lets the air flow through to dry everything up. Does not hurt your feet to stand on it, and each rail has a little carved out part in the middle to keep you from slipping. I like it very much.

Color listed as "coral" but are bright orange. Bath towels are different shade than hand towels and face cloth. Quality of the towels are sub-standard, especially for Tommy Bahama products. I would return but did not keep the return materials.

I purchased this towel set about a month ago and was initially so pleased with the true color match and the softness. When I washed them, however, I found several areas of each piece that faded out slightly in color; not completely but enough to be noticeable. That was really disappointing and detracts enormously from their overall quality. There was an attached label with washing instructions, which I followed exactly. I would not purchase these towels again.

These towel are sooo soft and absorbent. Like other towels, I washed them with vinegar for the first washing to remove any protective coating. If you don't, once you dry them you set it in. It will take many washings to get even some of it out and of course, fabric softener reduces absorbency. Please note that the photo is a little dark. The "cherry blossom" is a gorgeous light rose color (perfect in my bath), somewhat lighter than shown.

I was excited for the design of this. I received today and it is thinner than a tshirt material and does not look at all durable. It is my opinion that the price of this product is highway robbery. I would equate the quality of this product to the lowest grade at a mega mart and the price it up there with something much more elegant. I have bought finer shower curtains at a local retailer for less than half the cost that are 5-10 times the weight of this. The black is black ish and I am certain it will fade more as time goes on. The red is bright and vibrant which is the only positive I can give this product. I am VERY dissatisfied with this product.

I like the ample size and weight of these hand towels. I have the bath towels and washcloth and the same applies to them. The washcloth have trim on both ends. That is getting rare for the price.

I am not using these towels for baths or showers! I needed a large size (bath sheet) in black to cover a chair for protection against cat hair. The chair is black and I can easily remove the black bath sheet daily, and shake it out. By buying this set, I also have a spare while laundering it. I use the bath towel for the foot rest(a separate piece). However, to get to the quality of these towels- - -I would happily use them for their "real" purpose as they appear to be of a nice cotton quality, are absorbent when they are washed and look nice. One of my sons will be the recipient of the hand towels and wash cloths. If I needed the quantity of this set, I wouldn't hesitate to reorder.

Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
It's not unusual for bookshelves to incorporate multiple materials for different features. If you haven't decided on wood, wood products, metal or glass bookshelves, look at their relative strengths and weaknesses. Look below to learn the best bookshelf materials. Wood: "Solid wood" is a common term for furniture made from lumber planks. Beware of making assumptions based on labels like "hardwood" and "softwood." Hardwoods are derived from deciduous trees and softwoods from coniferous trees; the terms don't connote their relative strengths. Balsa is a hardwood even though it is very soft, just as Douglas fir is a softwood even though it is very hard. They all make excellent, classic stock material for bookcases. Generally, harder woods are the heavier and more resistant to scratches. Still, softer woods, if treated correctly, will keep just as well as harder woods. Plywood: Made by stacking thin sheets -- "plies" -- of lumber and gluing them under pressure, plywood features grains that alternate direction for strength. Several grades are available, of differing cost. Top and bottom plies can be high-quality woods to create the appearance of fine woods, but edge veneer or molding is needed to complete the illusion. Particleboard: Wood chips glued together carry a much lower price tag than solid wood, and particleboard is denser and more uniform. It's a great choice when cost is the primary consideration. Bookshelves crafted from veneered composite boards can look and feel as good as real wood. MDF: Wood fibers, tiny chips and sawdust collected and glued into sheets form medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Low-cost MDF makes an excellent base for veneers; plus, its strength is consistent and it shapes well. Metal: There's a reason most library bookshelves are made from metal: Metal bookcases are resistant to moisture and fungus, their low-friction shelves are easier on books' bindings and metal's strength-to-weight ratio can't be beat. Their cost usually comes in below any other material. Glass: Glass bookshelves weigh more than other types, but if you plan on assembling your bookshelves only once, the style points can be well worth it. Tempered glass shelves (in wood or metal uprights, called "standards") give your home an unbeatable contemporary feel, and glass bookcases' smooth, transparent surfaces add brilliant levity to a decorating piece that might otherwise be notably opaque and heavy. After deciding on the purpose and room for your new cabinet, it's time to think about material. As with all furniture, you will want to select a cabinet material depending on what you plan to use your cabinet for, as well as your personal taste. Take a look below to learn about the best materials for cabinets. Wood: The majority of cabinets produced are created with hard wood. Wood cabinets can be found in both traditional and contemporary designs. If you are hoping for durability in addition to design, no cabinet looks better and lasts longer than one manufactured using a solid wood. Cherry cabinets offer a sense of classic luxury while holding up to years of use. Oak cabinets conjure up the feel of subtle country beauty, and maple cabinets can look bright, modern and chic. Metal: Metal cabinets are terrific for those looking for a modern touch in their homes; most metal cabinets have a very forward-looking aesthetic, so they are perfect for a contemporary home. Metal cabinets are also great for home offices. Obviously, metal offers great durability, but it is vulnerable to dings and dents. Keep in mind that most metal cabinets have sharp corners, making them slightly less suitable for homes with kids running around. Glass: If you have something you feel like showing off, nothing is better for display purposes than a glass cabinet. These cabinets are certainly more fragile than those made from other materials, but they offer something other cabinets can't: transparency. Many glass cabinets are manufactured with built-in lighting systems to exhibit whatever you choose to place in them. Because of their show-off quality, glass cabinets are perfect for places you expect guests, such as the dining room and living room. Particle board: If you are shopping for a cabinet on a tight budget, looking into particle board cabinets is worthwhile. Particle board is a relatively new material produced by pressing wood particles together, which is then bound with synthetic resin. Furniture created with particle board is almost always the least expensive option and also the lightest, but you will sacrifice some durability. If you plan to move often, a particle board cabinet could be an ideal option. View All Furniture Back to Guides Directory View All Furniture
