I am very sorry that I bought these towels. I have both the bath and hand towels, and within 3 or 4 washes, they started to fall apart. On several of the towels, the edges are shredding into a mass of loose threads. The rest have many loose threads dangling from the middle of the towels. Other, older towels I have by other makers are holding up well, so it's nothing to do with my washing machine. These towels may be thick but they are poorly made. They are also not as soft as I expected, and still feel coarse and cheap even after being washed multiple times. I would not recommend these towels to anyone.

These towels are very thick and heavy! Way superior to any bath towels even at fine hotels. Very absorbent they soak up water without any issues. They come in a nice selection of colors to match any decor. 900 gsm Egyptian cotton is heavy duty quality. Just make sure you wash them first a couple of times to remove extra fuzz.

When i opened the package the towels seemed stiff to me but after washing them they become fluffy and soft. I am giving this product a 4 stars because I was hoping for a super large bath towel and the set comes with an average bath size towel. It's my fault because I didn't read the product description better but nonetheless. this is a great product and I am glad I purchased it. The towels are absorbent and soft to the touch.

This towel set is just right in my remodeled bathroom. The contrasting shade of blue is just as the picture showed. Decorative is the word because we won't be using them in daily baths but enjoying them every time we go into the bathroom. You can always trust the Avanti brand and Overstock's price for quality!

These towels are nice enough. The material is soft and the color is nice. I like the size - they aren't huge like some bath towels. I don't think the quality is anything amazing. There are definitely loose threads here and there and they seem to show wear pretty quick. They don't take forever to dry because they aren;t really heavy or thick which is nice. I took the advice of another reviewer and washed them in white vinegar before their first wash and that did a great job of killing the chemical smell.

These towels were purchased for our college freshman for dorm life. She is very pleased with them - they are not only pretty, but of a perfectly acceptable and well made quality. She is 6 feet tall, and the bath towel is very adequate in size.

I had been looking for new towels for my master bathroom. I am always a little leery about buying towels online because I like to feel them. I have purchased some really low quality towels online before. Horchow has these exact same towels but they are $120/set…much better deal through Overstock. However, Horchow does sell individual pieces. These towels are truly amazing. Light weight, but very soft and absorbent. The bath towel is a very nice size – fits my 6’ 4” husband. These will not disappoint if you are in the market for top of the line luxury towels.

We're bath sheet snobs - having been using them for years and years. Although these towels are very nice quality, they are far too heavy to be practical. I'm telling you they weigh a ton, wet or dry! If you like a hefty (and I mean hefty) towel, then this is for you. We prefer something a bit lighter in weight and more absorbant. Packaging is lovely and would make a nice gift.

The towels are thick, the color is true to the photo and the bath towel is bigger than I expected - luxurious!

I ordered the coral color and it is very pretty. The quality of the towels however was disappointing. In my opinion the towels are thin and they are not as long as towels I have purchased in the past. Do not expect bath-sheet size towels or you will be disappointed. I decided to keep the towels because I really like the coral color and I will only put them out when guest come over.

I have been long overdue for dome new bath sheets; my old ones having become matted and ratty quite some time ago. So while I was looking for new towels for my bathroom, I decided it was long past time to treat myself to some new ones. I spotted the Celebration II Bath sheets and liked how big they were. I live in the north and it's already getting very cold here so a big towel to wrap up in, out of the shower, is essential. I popped these in the wash as soon as they arrived, followed the tag instructions, put one on my shower bar and when I took my next shower? Soft, fluffy, warm goodness. These bath sheets cover me up well and dry me right off. You can't get one for that price in the stores and have it be that thick and soft. I love Overstock.com!

Sometimes I am into instant gratification, until I see pricing and boom, back to reality when I know I can get same quality cheaper elsewhere, like Overstock. So I took my 20% off coupon to the always have a coupon store to look for white bath sheets. I love white towels because of the bleach factor and love bath sheets because of the wrap around the body factor.I found some wonderful towels but the quality towel I wanted cost more than the cost of these three on Overstock !! These are great quality bath sheets, a nice thickness and wash beautifully and very absorbent .Thank you Overstock

These are nice heavy cotton bath mat, which you can wash and dry repeatedly. This is the reason I bought them as the rubber backed kind does not wash well in washer. They stay put on bath room tile floors. I got the teal color, the color is lovely. But after 1 week, there are a couple of while spots on the mat. I suspect it might be caused by my kids dropping tooth paste on it. Nonetheless, this should not have happened if the dye was of good quality. It has never happened to any of my towels which I am sure stands up to toothpaste, hand soaps, etc. So, watch out for that. You would have no such color problem if you get the white color I assume.

These towels are fine-- sufficient weight and quality. They are well worth the price. The experience with Overstock-- not so good. Their customer service is definitely lacking and how they go about things creates significant hassle for the customer. We will avoid ordering from Overstock in the future. There are better options out there.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product as I don't typically order this type of item on line. It's a very solid piece of merchandise and can hold 3-4 rolls of TP. Very glad I bought this.

Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
It's not unusual for bookshelves to incorporate multiple materials for different features. If you haven't decided on wood, wood products, metal or glass bookshelves, look at their relative strengths and weaknesses. Look below to learn the best bookshelf materials. Wood: "Solid wood" is a common term for furniture made from lumber planks. Beware of making assumptions based on labels like "hardwood" and "softwood." Hardwoods are derived from deciduous trees and softwoods from coniferous trees; the terms don't connote their relative strengths. Balsa is a hardwood even though it is very soft, just as Douglas fir is a softwood even though it is very hard. They all make excellent, classic stock material for bookcases. Generally, harder woods are the heavier and more resistant to scratches. Still, softer woods, if treated correctly, will keep just as well as harder woods. Plywood: Made by stacking thin sheets -- "plies" -- of lumber and gluing them under pressure, plywood features grains that alternate direction for strength. Several grades are available, of differing cost. Top and bottom plies can be high-quality woods to create the appearance of fine woods, but edge veneer or molding is needed to complete the illusion. Particleboard: Wood chips glued together carry a much lower price tag than solid wood, and particleboard is denser and more uniform. It's a great choice when cost is the primary consideration. Bookshelves crafted from veneered composite boards can look and feel as good as real wood. MDF: Wood fibers, tiny chips and sawdust collected and glued into sheets form medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Low-cost MDF makes an excellent base for veneers; plus, its strength is consistent and it shapes well. Metal: There's a reason most library bookshelves are made from metal: Metal bookcases are resistant to moisture and fungus, their low-friction shelves are easier on books' bindings and metal's strength-to-weight ratio can't be beat. Their cost usually comes in below any other material. Glass: Glass bookshelves weigh more than other types, but if you plan on assembling your bookshelves only once, the style points can be well worth it. Tempered glass shelves (in wood or metal uprights, called "standards") give your home an unbeatable contemporary feel, and glass bookcases' smooth, transparent surfaces add brilliant levity to a decorating piece that might otherwise be notably opaque and heavy. After deciding on the purpose and room for your new cabinet, it's time to think about material. As with all furniture, you will want to select a cabinet material depending on what you plan to use your cabinet for, as well as your personal taste. Take a look below to learn about the best materials for cabinets. Wood: The majority of cabinets produced are created with hard wood. Wood cabinets can be found in both traditional and contemporary designs. If you are hoping for durability in addition to design, no cabinet looks better and lasts longer than one manufactured using a solid wood. Cherry cabinets offer a sense of classic luxury while holding up to years of use. Oak cabinets conjure up the feel of subtle country beauty, and maple cabinets can look bright, modern and chic. Metal: Metal cabinets are terrific for those looking for a modern touch in their homes; most metal cabinets have a very forward-looking aesthetic, so they are perfect for a contemporary home. Metal cabinets are also great for home offices. Obviously, metal offers great durability, but it is vulnerable to dings and dents. Keep in mind that most metal cabinets have sharp corners, making them slightly less suitable for homes with kids running around. Glass: If you have something you feel like showing off, nothing is better for display purposes than a glass cabinet. These cabinets are certainly more fragile than those made from other materials, but they offer something other cabinets can't: transparency. Many glass cabinets are manufactured with built-in lighting systems to exhibit whatever you choose to place in them. Because of their show-off quality, glass cabinets are perfect for places you expect guests, such as the dining room and living room. Particle board: If you are shopping for a cabinet on a tight budget, looking into particle board cabinets is worthwhile. Particle board is a relatively new material produced by pressing wood particles together, which is then bound with synthetic resin. Furniture created with particle board is almost always the least expensive option and also the lightest, but you will sacrifice some durability. If you plan to move often, a particle board cabinet could be an ideal option. View All Furniture Back to Guides Directory View All Furniture
