This product does come anywhere close to absorbing water like a traditional (at least in U.S.) towel. I had my doubts about it's absorbency, but took a chance on it because I knew I could use it for other purposes than a towel. Is a nice piece of fabric for a shawl or decoration.

Don't think of this a being like a traditional swim towel--it isn't. It is a light, fine quality drying wrap, something you'd find in the old world when thay really knew how to make things. A bit more sophisticated, interesting, and worldly than your traditional swim towel--it has flair.

This was the only option for my shower and it works great! My shower is an insert (one piece) show that has no large extended platforms for soap, shampoo, etc.. There was no place to put all of the things a girl needs in a shower and no place to put the traditional caddy systems. My shower shape would not allow for the traditional caddy locations like over the shower head, etc. So when I saw this one that I could hang over the door... I was thrilled. It looks great and works great. All of my stuff fits perfectly in this caddy.

Don't follow the directions...wash FINE - but hang up unless you want bumps and humps in the rug. UGH...plus I am finding that the plush is not that great. Probably best to buy traditional?

I've dreamt of owning a cashmere robe forever, so when this one caught my eye at such a low price, I couldn't resist. I wore it on my 3-week trip to South America: First, unbelted over jeans and a t-shirt on the plane. Worked perfectly as a long cardigan (though it did release a fair amount of fuzz, which I attributed to it being new), and also just to snuggle under instead of a yucky airline blanket. Next, in the traditional sense, as a bathrobe: lightweight, cozy, and sooooo soft next to the skin. And last, as a bathing suit coverup: modest, full coverage for the journey from stateroom to the pool, and delightful to throw on after swimming! Great sun protection, too, as I lounged on deck. Everyone who saw this robe asked me where to get one. Treat yourself, or someone you love. Bonus: It comes beautifully wrapped in a gorgeous box.

I was expecting a true waffle shower curtain, with that traditional indented squares. This is not that. It's more of a navy blue shower curtain with textured diamonds on it. It'll do - it's not the end of the world. But buyer beware, if you're looking for that traditional waffle shower curtain, this would not be it.
