For the price these are great robes. I am using them for female guests and bought the XL so that they would fit everyone!

We bought four robes for our quests to use when they come visit. The size is great for male or female and it soft and looks great.

I am 5/10, 155 pound-female , and the Large was massive on me. I am exchanging now for a Medium. Very nice quality.

We recently stayed in a B and B that had these robes in the room, and I loved it much more than the terry robe I had a home. They were for sale $85 there, but half that on Overstock. I am very happy with this robe and highly recommend it. I am a medium sized female and the large/xlarge comes to my ankles, and is big, but I like them that way.

This robe is beautiful, well made, luxury.... Thank goodness I am losing weight, however. I am currently a size 16/18 female and although it does wrap around me it really doesn't have adequate girth so that it stays closed, especially at the hips and the hem. So buyer beware, L/XL does not translate to ladies XL. I would estimate it is more like a ladies M/L

I love this robe. It's soft and plush and thick and I look forward to it coming out of the shower. Be aware that the "unisex" sizing seems to mean male sizing. I am a 5'7", 145lb female, and the small is good on me, a bit roomy like you'd want a terry bathrobe. The sleeves are long, but it's easy to roll up the wide cuff once and you're in business.

I just purchased this robe in light purple-- It is wonderfully warn and cozy. The weight is great for the inbetween- it is not as heavy as a winter robe I used to have (Which is why I wanted to replace it) it is medium weight that I can wear most of the year. Thanks oerstock

I bought the pink robe several months ago and just love it! It is so soft and comfortable. I am back to find out if I can buy one for my mom for Christmas in purple! It is a great price for the quality!

I bought this robe in a size small in "sage" for a female family member who is 5'2" and about 120lbs. The robe fits her like a glove! The sleeves cut off right at her wrists and the robe comes down to just above her ankles. There was some slight pilling of the fabric and the robe smelled a little "chemically" out of the package, but after a wash, the robe was good to go! Shipping was relatively quick, too. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the product and my purchasing experience. Thank you!

Very plush and luxurious robe. Terry lining is very soft, nice waffle texture on outside, piping adds a nice contrast. Robe is one unisex size. I am a female who is 5'11",size 12. The robe is a little large on me. The fabric is plush and heavy. Very comfy and cozy after a shower, but I would not recommend for a petite person as it would be overwhelming in size. This is going to be my "go to "robe in winter. Live in northeast U.S. and need a warm robe. This is one of the best I have owned. Not a drawback for me,but the unisex sizing could be a factor for smaller frame people.

The robe says unisex but it seems to be a very female cut. The arms will be short if you are a man of average or larger shoulders or a woman with broad shoulders. Otherwise the robe is a great value. A little thinner than my thick hotel brand terry towels but double layered at the cuffs and neck which makes it feel very thick at those places. Really happy with the easy return from overstock.

Encouraged by the majority of reviews, I opted to replace my 12 year old Ratty with this robe. It is worth perhaps 60% of its purchase price. The terrycloth is very thin (even after washing and fluff-dry), the construction is poor (seams pucker and hems uneven) and the X/XL size is not generous for a size 14 female. There is no quality hotel that would supply this robe to guests on purpose. I only wish it could be returned.

I, like many, was trying to finding a perfect replacement for my 10-yr-old terrycloth towel robe. I am very happy with this purchase. I like that it's terrycloth both inside and out (not just one sided). It keeps me warm and dry. I am most impressed with the fit. I am a tall and slender female, and the S/M is just big enough to be comfortable, but very easy to move around in. It is the perfect weight. A couple months after I purchased this a friend gave me an expensive spa version from another company. It is terrycloth on only the inside, is such a terrible fit I can't move around in it, and is way too heavy for my comfort. I threw hers away and kept this one. The one downside is that strings do come off of it. I foresee needing to re-sew the seam of one of the arms in the future. But it's so comfortable I can't complain.

It's soft, yes. It's cozy and comfy. But it has a very ugly, bright blue, JNL (?) embroidered on the left breast that is not apparent in the advertised photo. The smallest size is medium, which (at 5'3", 130lbs) I rather swim in. The color is not a nice, pale lavendar as shown, but an obnoxious candy colored light purple. I'm just not very pleased with this purchase. I could have purchased something nicer, and actually less $ at a local store. I'm thinking I'll send this back.

Unfortunately for me the cons outnumber the pros. The pros are that this robe is very very soft, almost blanket like and the color (I ordered the purple) is very nice. Now the cons Ė I purchased this robe to hang in the bathroom for when getting out of the shower. It turned out being not very absorbent and kind of became like a wet blanket. I decided that given the softness of it, I would keep it and save it until winter. I threw it in the dryer with some other laundry and when I took it out it had shed and pilled all over the other cloths and I donít mean a little here and there. It was all over everything. It is still a very soft robe and if purchases I highly recommend that it goes into a dryer by itself or you also invest in a lint roller.

I knew from the reviews that this robe would be quite large, but I wanted organic cotton and the dark gray is an intriguing color. I found it a bit too much material when I first tried it on, but have come to love it! I am almost 5'5" and the hem lands several inches above my ankles, and the sleeves reach almost to my wrists. I weigh about 150 pounds, am pear shaped, and long waisted. Straight out of the package, the cotton is very soft, hangs beautifully. The robe is well constructed...I was a seamstress and know about this. All the seams are finished, and the attached ties look like they will remain that way. I love that....I am always dealing with robes whose ties are coming out of a belt loop and threatening to fall off. I have found that the ties are placed somewhat higher than my waist, so I have discovered purposefully tying the belt several inches above my waist and making it an empire style. I don't wrap the edges over each other when wearing a nightgown beneath. I let the edges just meet near my midline and the material gathers in a very pretty way. If I want to bundle up in it, it becomes much less flattering, but works fine. I would say this fabric is on the light side of mid weight, if that makes sense. It will be perfect getting out of the shower in air conditioning, which is what I want it for, as my terry robe is too warm. I am tempted to get this in the purple color, it's that delightful. Why this is sold separately from the other colors is a mystery, but I am so glad I tried this.
