I followed advice from previous reviews and pre-washed it with white vinegar. The look & feel is wonderful. Perfect for this weather and a cold apartment.

  • Thick and thirsty, not as roomy or long as thought

Although this robe is not as roomy or long as I thought, it is a great weight, very absorbent and quite well made.

It does shrink up a bit in length and width, even when laying flat to dry. The width shrinkage wasn't too bad, but I would imagine that can vary depending on which way they are cutting the fabric. I wanted the length to stay really long for cold hot tub nights, and that shrinkage was rather significant with ~3" loss in length.

  • RIGHT SLEEVE INSIDE UNSTITCHED FOR 5 INCHES

    Dec 20, 2014

    Barry S. Rating:3.0

The robe's right sleeve has a manufacturing defect, the right sleeve is unstitched for approximately 5 inches and my fingers usually get caught when putting in on. Also, the color shown was navy blue and it is powder blue.

  • Expectations higher than reality, but still OK

I do love the feel and weight of the bamboo terrycloth--not too heavy, not too light. Very absorbent. Cool to the touch but keeps the skin warm and cozy upon wearing. However, the unisex sizing does not fully work--the robe does not take into account the wider curvature of a typical woman's body versus a man's. The size is great from the waist up, but the robe does not fully close/wrap around at the waist like I would have preferred. My only complaint about the quality is that this robe sheds strings/loose threads like crazy. The terrycloth weave is loose, so the loops get caught on hairbrushes while brushing hair, or anything else rough that you might brush against while walking. For the cost, it is OK, but if I had paid full retail for this robe, I would have sent it back.
