This is the best pillow I've ever had, and I've had many pillows over my lifetime. I own the too expensive Tempurpedic Cloud pillow, but I like this one Much better, and I use this one instead. One improvement I would make with the pillow, is that I would offer it in two different Heights. This pillow comes in at about a 7 inch height. I think they should also offer an 8 1/2" height too for larger persons so that the shoulder width distance it properly taken up. What I do with this pillow to make up the height I want, is underneath my bed sheet right where the pillow rests, I placed a 1 1/2" foam piece the same size of the pillow, and then put the sheet over it, and the pillow rests on top of that - this way it gives the right height/loft for me. The Pillow itself is exceptional, and the way your head sinks into heaven so soft yet has just the just right 'springy push back' resistance, supports your head just right. I think this pillow should be called the cloud pillow and not the tempurpedic one, because theirs softly sinks with heat/weight yes, but after a few minutes when its action is finished, you then are laying on firm dough, whereas this Latex pillow, stays cloud soft all night... ...it's awesome. ps's, Review based on the pillows I received, however I did notice there appears to be different pillow densities even for the same model pillow (meaning some of the same model pillows are firmer or softer than others, and so I wish there was better factory consistency control on this density matter. Again though, if it were my company, I would offer in each of the three categories: soft, medium, firm.. ..I would offer two different height/lofts for each one. Also I noticed the firm pillow in this offering, is just way too firm!!! ...in my opinion and experience.
We ordered both medium and soft density pillows after having a firm pillow by another manufacturer be too hard. I feel like Goldilocks who can't find the one that's "just right!" Both the medium and soft density pillows felt identically too soft and fell completely flat upon laying on it, offering no support at all for a back or side sleeper. These are lighter weight, thin latex pillows, not like the higher quality types that feel heavy in weight. As a plus, there was no weird latex smell, which was nice, and it was a better length and width for our King pillow cases than some other brands of latex pillows, which seemingly skimp on dimension to cut costs. Also, double check the returns policy for each pillow you are considering, because not all of them are returnable (like these were not) and you may end up stuck with a pillow you can't use.
I love latex bedding. Our bed is latex. That being said I wanted to get a nice latex pillow so I ordered a kingsize medium. The density and firmness was just right. The pillow comes in a flame retardant cover, followed by a cotton zip case. Well I've had this pillow for a year and haven't put the cotton zip case through the wash since I just wash our linen pillow case that protects it. Today I decided to remove the cotton zip case and saw through the flame retardant cover (its a mesh) that the pillow is disintegrating. There are big tablespoon chunks missing and traveling around in the pillow case. This pillow hasn't been exposed to temperature extremes, just regular use. I'm really dissappointed. The good news is that at this point you can't feel the unevenness but at some point you would.
The pillow is what you pay for. It started out to be jus the reight density, however after only 4months of use, it is already starting to get flat!! which is exactly what i didn't want. After a neck injury, I have to use these pillows, because when you move they bounce back into place. However, a different brand that I had it took years for them to start to get flat. I am disappointed that only after four months, it is starting to get flat! !!!!!!

When it comes to neck problems, nothing compares to Latex Pillows. However, it is hard to find the right combination of "profile" or height, & density. For my neck, I cannot handle the higher lofts, yet perhaps 90% or more of latex pillows sold provide only low density pillows that are "low" height. The Authentic Talatech 230 Thread Count Latex Foam Medium Density Pillow is absolutely perfect with a 5" height (per Overstock rep) with enough density to actually justify being a pillow.
I am a petite woman and bought the firm pillow... it was a bit to thick I felt my neck tilted up too much so gave that to my husband and bought the medium. THe medium is thinner but "mushy" the way I like it. I would have added maybe 1/2 inch to its thickness but I am definitely keeping this one. THe best pillow for me, spongy soft but does not flatten like a pancake like a lot of memory foam ones I have bought and rejected (have had it it for almost 5 months).
Ordered two medium density pillows. Both are packaged in same plastic but neither is marked what density. One is fine, it is either medium or soft but the other is definitely very firm. We cannot use it for daily sleeping, and am afraid to reorder as other customers have had the same problem. Very, very dissatisfied.
I think pillows are obviously very personal and what kind of mattress you sleep on also effects how a pillow will 'be'. I read all of the reviews on this product and as the majority were good, I held my breath and ordered. I had purchased a latex pillow from Belks a few years ago and they no longer stock them. I have looked everywhere. My hope on seeing this pillow was that it would be as good. There is nothing 'medium density' about this pillow, it lays flat as a pancake when you put your head on it. While it is 'soft' and it does feel good, there is no support whatsoever. As a person who suffers pretty severe neck pain, I have to have a pillow that supports, but is soft. I also get pain in the cartlidge in my ears if a pillow is too hard. I have spent so much on pillows it's ridiculous, but again as someone who suffers pretty severe pain with the wrong support I am always looking for the next pillow. If you are looking for support in this pillow there is none, I went for the medium density thinking there would be. I dare not order the firm as I simply don't believe that it will be that different. My search will continue. I was extremely disappointed the minute I took this out of the tiny box it was stuffed into. I knew by its' weight that it was not a quality pillow and how easy it was to fit in the tiny box. This pillow is simply worthless if you need support. Sorry to beat a dead horse. Not for me.
I have arthritis and need extra support for the back of my neck when I lay down. This pillow is a great solution to the problem. It is soft enough to allow for sleeping comfort and firm enough to give my neck the support it needs. I was concerned that there might be a smell as it is latex but found that I was able to sleep on it the first night. Very happy with my purchase.
I purchased a standard and a king sized pillow, both in medium density. The standard size is a very good pillow, supports my neck to keep the spine aligned, doesn't hurt my ear when sleeping on my side. The king size is a little too thick for my preference, but my husband likes it. I'm a very picky pillow person, and I do recommend the standard size. Will probably try the queen size too.

I bought 2 latex pillows years ago and needed to replace them. These pillows are actually more comfortable than the old ones. I'm very pleased with them.

I received two completely different pillows when I ordered two of these. One was thin and firm, and the other was thick and soft. No telling which was the medium density I ordered. Unfortunately, it cost me $** to return them. Steer clear of these pillows.
This pillow came in a very small box that didn't weigh very much, and I was pretty sure that Overstock sent me something other than a pillow. But, I was wrong. My latex pillow it was! My pillow did have a typical latex odor, as it came wrapped in plastic. Having had other latex pillows (and a latex topper), I know that the odor will go away over time. The pillow expands very quickly when you open the plastic packaging. It's a very bouncy pillow and feels medium to medium soft, which I like. I am an average-sized woman, and my head does not rest on the mattress, but rather on the pillow, which does compact where you head lies and feels firmer. It's very comfortable and there are no issues with your ears hurting. I love the size as it gives you lots of room to hug the pillow, if you are so inclined. I recommend it, but have to say that if you are a person who likes a pillow with shelf-like support, I don't think this is the pillow for you. It has support, no mistake about that, but this is not a dense piece of latex that doesn't give/move a lot. So far this "airy" quality of the pillow also keeps it very cool for a latex pillow. So, again, good pillow. Medium is a good call on this, but it may feel very soft (maybe too soft) if you are a larger person.
I love my Latex mattress. It is firm, cool contours to my body as I move and yet regains its shape. I was hoping the latex pillow would be similar and so I ordered this one and a supposedly firmer one with "more density". But the pillows felt the same. they were just too soft and it was uncomfortable the bounciness of it as I move the head. As a side sleeper I like something cool to my head, firm enough to hold my head straight but soft enough to feel comfortable as I move. besides being cool, it did not delivered on my other two needs. I returned it both.
I got this for my boyfriend after I noticed he kept 'stealing' just the corner of mine in his sleep (he goes to bed earlier than me). And it wasn't because he missed me. After a couple questions, he let me know mine was a little too firm so I got the medium density. He sleeps way longer through the night. I love latex pillows because you don't have to fluff them, or fight with them in the middle of the night and they stay cool. Two queen sized pillows fit nicely on a queen bed. The description was very accurate. The only thing I saw missing was it DOES come with a zippered cover, but I didn't see it stated. This was a bonus.
I have normal Body Mass index, not overweight or obese, and sleep on the back and the side. This pillow is too firm for me. I get me one with soft density instead. The king size pillow is about 7 inches thick. Whether this medium density pillow is for you depends on many pounds per square inch you are exerting on this pillow.
Medium density pillow is much too soft. No way this is a medium density. Wish that I had paid a bit more for a better pillow. Pillow covering itself it nice and soft. Overall, I am very disappointed. I have been saving to buy a decent pillow.
