WOW!! This comforter is so rich looking and beautiful. I couldn't believe that I got it for such a great price. It turned my bedroom from boring to beautiful in a few minutes!! The comforter has a very pretty silk braid all around it and the skirt that goes with it is perfect. I havent loved my bed this much in a long time. Now I just stare at it because it's so pretty. I recommend this item to everyone. Thank you!!

I read alot of the reviews on this Comforter set, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Boy am I glad I did. This Set looks like it should be in a 5 star hotel. I'ts one ( if not) the thickest comforter I have ever had, other people say the fabric is kinda rough, well it is but if you use sheets it won't touch your skin. It is by far the warmest comforter. I would recommend this to anyone who would want their bedroom to look like a million buck. I also got th pillows, and my husband ( who doesn't really care about how the room looks) has had his friends come over just to show it off, and that is saying a lot. Bravo OVERSTOCK you really out did yourselves with this.

I was extremely happy to receive this beautiful set. The picture is nice, but the colors and soft texture are more luxurious in person. I also purchased the pillow set and was equally impressed. Thanks Overstock for another great buy!

I have been looking for a while now for a comforter set to replace my old one of 8 years. I absolutley love the Amsterdam Chenille 4-piece set I bought in December of 2011. The picture does not doe it the right justice. The colors are much more vibrant. I also bought the accent pillows & curtains that match. Totally made my bedroom look spectacular!!

What a glorious, luxurious set this is! The colors match perfectly (one reviewer suggested the bedskirt was a different die lot). The colors are MUCH deeper, richer reds than the greenish cast noted on my computer screen, and the greenish parts are golden, with the final effect being a darker palette. My only concern is purely MY issue. I have big white dogs and these darker shades will show up the hairs more. But it's SO gorgeous, I don't even care. I also got the pillow set and it all is perfect. Wonderful heavy weight to sleep under as well.

Beautiful, rich and elegant comforter set. Great colors for both men and women. Money well spent. Highly recommend.

Love this set. I am very impressed with the quality and the colors are fantastic. We just bought a new house so I was looking for somthing to upgrade to. This is definitely the piece. Even my fiance was impressed with the quality. We normally use a down comforter so he was concerned about the weight/warmth. It is definitely a warm piece. I would/have recommended it to several people.

Please note: This comforter set is NOT the clay color that is depicted in this pic. If you are looking for a clay/terracotta color comforter set, this is NOT the set you want to order. It is actually a very bold burgundy/gold color. The quality is exceptional and certainly a great value, but of no use to me since it doesn't match the color scheme of sheets, newly painted walls, etc in my master bedroom/bath. The worst part is.... my new king bedroom suit will be arriving in 6 days and I now have a beautiful comforter set that doesn't match anything. The box it arrived in was very damaged during shipment. I'm hoping this comforter set and its coordinating 3 pc pillow set is returnable. Otherwise, I'm stuck with it.

For almost a year now, I have been very unsuccessful when it comes to finding a comforter for the master bedroom. This last week I stumbled on the Amsterdam and I figured I would give it a shot since 95% of the reviews were good. I just received my comforter today in the mail and just could not wait to open it. At first sight I was in love!!!! The comforter is much darker in person however it is a delightful surprise. This comforter in department stores would easily go for a couple hundred so I felt that I had made a great purchase/bargain. I would recommend this comforter to whomever is looking to make a total room makeover with out really doing much of anything!!!!!!

This comforter set is much darker than the picture, but still beautiful. The red is more of a dark cranberry with light chocolate and gold. The extra details (on the bedskirt as well as cording around the comforter and pillows) makes this comforter look like you paid alot more.

I am very happy with this product overall. I was somewhat misled by the colors on the web site. They were more gold/orange and the comforter is more burgundy/gold. A beautiful spread none the less and it will still look beautiful in our bedroom. Actually nicer colors than I thought I was ordering.

This comforter feels and looks much more expensive than the price. The material is of high quality and the detailed braiding on the edges make it look very expensive. One note of caution...the color is much richer in tones vs the picture. It appears more copper in color with rich hues of brown and burgundy. It does have a slight sheen to it also but adds to the rich appearance. The comforter and pillow shams are really stunning; it makes s a run at some of the pricier comforters I have purchased in the past. The inside material is heavy and very insulating. For those cold Fall and Winter months in cooler climates, this comforter is awesome. It may be too insulating/warm for warmer climates. Super warm and cozy!

I HATE shinny bedding so I was so happy that this was NOT. It is a very nice thick almost suede feel. My only critique is that the colors are a bit more burgundy than I had hoped. I was hoping it would be a but more red, but it wasn't. However, it works and I am very pleased with the quality.

This was much better than it looks and the colors are much more vibrant than the pictures shows. The comforter is very thick and has a nice gold and maroon braided cording around the edge and around the shams. The skirt is also very nice, like a tapestry. The thing I liked most is that this the first king size comforter I purchased that is actually big enough. I covers the bed, even over the pillows, and comes down and overlaps a few inches on the skirting for a complete look. The ONLY bad thing I could say about it is that the top has a kind of rough texture to it and not very soft. However, you shouldn't be laying on your comforter top anyway, the bottom part is soft and that is what touches you. I would highly recommend this comforter set.

I have shopped on line many times before and have gotten less than expected. The comforter and dust ruffle and pillow shams I recieved from overstock .com was absolutly beautiful and the material was above worth the money. I had'nt told my husband of my purchase due to the cutting corners on our budget, but when the comforter arrived sooner than I expected I had put it our bed and when arrived from work that evening and saw it on the bed he could't say anything but how pleased with the value and look of the new comforter and never complained about the money spent on this. Don't get me wrong ,and set out to surprise your loved one and make a purchase without sharing that thought. But for me it worked and we are bothe enjoing the beauty and comfort or our bedding wear. This comforter set is worth a LOT more than the asking price here on Overstock. It is beautifully constructed, of excellent-quality fabrics and expensive trim (that double-twisted rope isn't cheap!).The actual colors are MUCH deeper than the photograph. On my computer, the colors appear to be more red with gold and light cinnamon color. The color is actually a deep rich burgundy with antique gold, bronze, and chocolate brown -- all much darker than the photo.Since I was in the process of decorating a new house, including purchasing new furniture, I used the colors of the comforter set to guide my color selection for paint and wood tones. I ended up using pale yellow on my walls, with one accent wall in the same deep burgundy color found in the comforter (I took one of the pillow shams to the paint store to get an exact match). My bed is black and walnut, and the colors work perfectly.I, too, purchased the pillow set. It was the perfect compliment to the comforter. I plan to use antique gold silk drapes with burgundy and gold striped Roman shades, rather than the matching drapes, for a little variety.Even my decorator was impressed by the quality, especially at this price. When I asked her to guess how much it cost, her answer was $350-400 -- and she has been in the interior design business for 25 years.All in all, this is a beautiful comforter set at a great price. Bear in mind the color difference, and you won't be disappointed.

I've been looking for something with these colors. In the picture it looks more gold and beige but it's actually more mocha and dark browns. The red is a deep pretty red. I wouldn't call it burgundy. I have dark oak furniture and don't like it with that. I think if you have dark brown furniture it would look much better. I haven't decided if I'm keeping it or not. It is a really nice set, well made. Well worth the money too.

This comforter set is beautiful and rich looking. I had been looking for a set to coordinate with the paint color Merlot-(deep rich wine) of our master bedroom. I hadn't found anything that struck me. I saw this advertised and knew I liked it, but was unsure about the color. When I received it, it felt like Christmas all over. The set is a mix of mocha and the rich merlot that I needed. Do not hesitate if those are the colors that interest you. The advertised picture is way off the mark in color. It is not the red tones that the picture shows. Much deeper and very luxurious!!! I have since ordered the window treatments and can't wait until they arrive! Also, great great quality for the cost!

This set looks and feels much more luxurious than its price indicates. Be aware that the colors are darker in person than on line but that's what I wanted. The comforter's weight is thick but not too heavy. The only negative I can say is that the bed skirt is not open at the corners to allow for my foot board. I'm going to have to have them cut and stitched in order for it to fit and look properly. But the look is great. I bought the accent pillows as well and are very pleased with the entire purchase. I highly recommend this item.
