This set is positively beautiful, precisely what I've always sought. It is decadent and opulent, for sure. A fantastic value, regardless of taste. Its looks exceedingly outweigh its potential faults, but then, I am a waist-cinching, high heel-wearing, lipstick touching-up-kinna-girl. A few things to keep in mind to the potential buyer: This is quite decorative, so it is definitely a matter of fashion over function. The material snags INCREDIBLY easily. I remove all rings when I make the bed, and it isn't a good idea to relax on it with earrings on, either. This where my four stars instead of five comes in.The material is very beautiful. However, it is not the softest to sleep on right-side-up, because it is textured by the embroidered design. The internal side of the comforter and backs on the pillow cases is a light gold, satin-y type of material. You can turn the pillows over for a smoother finish, but I believe it would really only make a difference to a 'picky sleeper.' The comforter is VERY dense, and thus far, I have only used it in the Arizona summer. Both my husband and myself usually only sleep under our top sheet. (To give an idea of how we worked with this set's look, our sheets and two extra back pillows are red satin.) I'm sure the comforter will be quite nice to have in the winter, however. :) There is this wonderful, twisted, gold piping along the edges, so when drying, take care to keep the articles straight and flat. Again, just gorgeous. Dream come true! ;)
