Alexandria Loop Chenille Bath Rug (27 in x 45 in)

This bath rug looked so inviting and sooooo soft. When it arrived I touched the braids (for lack of a better description) and found them to be stiff and rough. Following the cold wash gentle cycle and drying on warm, I was treated to an over-flowing lint vent (this rug was the only item in the dryer!)and a rug that had strings hanging everywhere. As the measurements are somewhat unusual and the perfect size needed for my bathroom, I trimmed the strings and began utilizing this irug. After numerous washings, drying both on the line and in the dryer, I am still standing on small, twisted ropes and a rug that looks as if it has seen better days. I could not ever recomend this--I purchsed it after reading all the great reviews, so perhaps the rug sent to me wasn't what I ordered. I have no clue except to say the ropes of material remain stiff, and the rug hasn't been softened by either use or regular laundering. As it was relatively inexpensive, and I have mobility problems, it has been simpler to just continue to use this sub-standard product. Color me disappointed !!!

While these rugs look great out of the package, and onto the floor, both rugs literally disintegrated in the washing machine. Laundry instructions were followed as recommended. Manufacturer does indicate that there will be "sprouting of tufts" when laundered, but it is better described as an "explosion of tufts". It was a laborous task to clean the debris left behind in the washing machine, and the rugs now look horrible, and will be written off as a loss.

The looping is awesome, it is true to color the grey is like a dark puter, which is what I wanted. i am going to order me one in some other shade to go with my newly decorated bathroom. this rug Is cat proof as far as them tearing it up like they have other rugs I guess it is due to the loops instead of the kind that they can shred. Cat's are difficult on our lovely things. So I look for items that can give me a fighting chance .. it is 100% cotton and easy to wash. Drys fast. I love it ..

The quality of the rug is not very good and the backing is visible everywhere between the cheneille strands. When washed, it should not be washed with any other items because it sheds all over everything. We had intended to use it in the bathroom, but we put it in the spare bedroom instead so it wouldn't get as much wear or be as visible.
