Accu-Gold Memory Foam Mattress 13-inch Queen-size Bed Sleep System

I purchased this mattress just over a month ago to replace my old inner spring pillow top. I know it says it is for rv's but I loved the idea of the four mattresses that you stack in the order that you want for your firmness. Having never slept on a foam mattress before, I had no clue what kind of firmness I would want in that type of mattress. Other foam mattresses have you choose the firmness and I have seen a few reviews where the firm was to firm or the medium was to soft or to firm. I really did not want to deal with shipping a foam mattress back. I received my mattresses in about a week (I am pretty sure it was less than) and they arrived in four boxes. Definately thought they would be to small to hold the mattresses, but surprise, they were not. They fluffed up to their full size in about 2 hours and there was a bit of a smell, but that also disappeared within the two hours it took for them to fully expand. I also love the fact that it came with a mattress pad cover. The first nights sleep was good. It took a little bit to relearn to turn over on that kind of mattress. You can't do the bounce and turn :) After that it has been even better. I was skeptical about the thought of reduced back pain (I am 6'2" and have dealt with chronic back pain for a long time) but I am so happy to say I have no sore back or stiffness in the mornings anymore. I am a very happy and satisfied customer.

This bed was definitely great from the start, sans the strong chemical smell everybody else has been mentioning. Over time, the smell eventually fades but so does the firmness of the 4 layers. When overstock first shipped this item to me, it came in 4 separate boxes for each individual topper - some of which were different sizes than others requiring me to shave off 3-4 inches off the sides of one of the softer foam layers to get it to fit evenly with the other layers. The mattress held up in firmness for a good 6 months before eventually I would need to readjust the "firmness" levels. I tried every configuration, from having the softer layers sandwiched in by the firm layers, to having both firm layers on top with the soft layers on the bottom, but to no avail. Do not be fooled by the "4 layers" of comfort. The layers will slide out a few inches every week due to the friction caused by a person leaving the bed every morning. This naturally means you would have to take off your sheets, readjust the layers (not an easy task unless you have two people), and then recover the 4 layers with the provided cover, and then once again with your mattress sheet. It's a huge hassle and as another reviewer noted that she'd rather have purchased a memory foam mattress with one single layer, I'd have to agree to do the same. Honestly this is one of the worst memory foam mattresses I have ever used/owned. I avoid sleeping at home because of it and I'd rather stay at my girlfriend's house simply because if we slept on this mattress we'd sink into it since it does not hold its firmness. It is not uncommon for me at 5'8", 180 lbs to sink into this mattress a good 4-6 inches by morning, ugh it's so uncomfortable.  Take into consideration my ownership of this mattress of a year and a half, as opposed to most reviewers here who have been reviewing this mattress mostly when they first purchase it (hence so many reviews noting the 'strong' chemical smell). You get what you pay for so I must say, do yourself a favor and pick up a better quality memory foam mattress than this.

I bought the mattress very hesitantly because I'm a poor college student, and this is a large chunk of change to spend. However, when I received the mattress I was thrilled it shipped in less time than the range I was told, and it became the best long-term purchase I have made. I have had it for 2 weeks now, and I have not experienced any problems with it (did come with the factory smell, but it has already left). I'm glad it came in 4 parts which makes it very easy to assemble and move, and I love the fact that I could change the order of the mattress parts to make it more or less firm. Kudos to this product! I'm going to go take a nap :).

I would highly recommend this product. I bought a twin size for my son and he loved it. My daughter tried it and she loved it and it is for that reason that I ordered this item. She said she slept real good on it and had never had back pains since then. Very comfortable. She had the medium foam on the base then the firm then the memory foam and the aire foam on top and it was perfect for her. So I ordered another queen size now for my eldest daughter since she got jealous and slept on it for a night. Said it was so comfortable.
