First I want to say that Overstock was wonderful in helping me return this item. The only problem with it is that it is not the white pictured. The item I was shipped was the color Bone and in the reviews it says that is the White but it is not. It is the tan colored one.
I just received this order today. The first complaint I have is the way the item was packaged. The box arrived damaged, slightly open on both sides. The delivery man asked me to open it to make sure nothing had been lost during it's shipment. It was all there. My second complaint is when I opened the duvet cover, the shams were not the same shade as the cover. I ordered this in Sage, which is actually dark tan. I did love the color or the duvet cover, but the shams were very green tinted. I thought maybe it wouldn't be too noticeable if I spread the duvet cover across the bed and put the sham on top of it. The difference in shades was glaring to me. It looked like I had purchased them from different places and were different colors. I know I would cringe every time I saw it, so I knew I had to return it. My third complaint is about the way this company does returns. WARNING: if you purchase this item and you are not satisfied with it, as I was not satisfied with mine, you have to pay to return it (in this case the return label is around $$$). Since this was my second purchase from Overstock that I was not satisfied with, I am now out $$$ with no items to show for it. I purchased items from this company on faith, sight unseen, and after not being satisfied with my purchase, I am the one who loses. I will not be doing any more business with this company because there's a chance I'll be out money, just for giving them my business.
This is a very simple duvet. Heavy weight material with a slight sheen to it. I like the tie downs in the corners to hold the comforter in place. It is a bit wrinkley out of the package but I don't mind that look. That will probably go away when I wash it, but I haven't done that yet.
I recently painted my bedroom blue and was hoping to replace the sand colored, 400 thread count duvet I had purchased from Overstock with a white one. Unfortunately, it wasn't available in King, so instead I bought the 600 thread count Luxury Cotton Duvet. I was really happy with the quality of the 400 thread count item , and was pleased to find that the new white one was just as nice. It is a nice crisp white, with quality stitching, inside corner ties (which the other one didn't have), and two nice shams. It washed well and most of the wrinkles came out when I pulled it promptly out of the dryer (don't let it sit). Love it!
