This had no smell straight from the package, which was a huge plus, and fluffed up nicely. It didn't fluff up all the way until the next morning and it was noticeably "puffy" which was great. This is definitely not comparable to a $300 or more down comforter but is similar to some in the $100-200 range I've seen at bedding and bath/home stores. It's also very warm. All in all, a steal at this price and a very welcome addition to the bedroom, considering the chilly weather we've been having!

My husband has sciatica and also sleeps in weird positions sometimes, so he is always complaining about the bed. He also gets hot easily, so I was wary about buying a memory foam topper. I did tons of research and looked at densities, reviews of brands, how thick, etc and decided to get this topper because it was on sale. Even if it weren't it was a good deal at the normal overstock price, but sales make things that much better. I didn't unpack it right away because I was gone visiting my sister in another state for a month when it arrived and my husband didn't open it. Even still, it had no trouble expanding and (perhaps because I didn't open it right away) it had no noticeable smell. it is, however heavy. We have a cal king and it doesn't cover the whole bed inch to inch, it has maybe a 1-3 inch gap on the top/bottom, depending on how you position it, but that's not much of a problem. We also got the Super Snooze 5-inch 230 Thread Count Baffled Featherbed Set http://www.overstock.com/Bedding-Bath/Super-Snooze-5-inch-230-Thread-Count-Baffled-Featherbed-Set/1464042/product.html to go on top because we had stayed at the hilton resort in huntington beach california and the employee there said this was what they used, and after that stay my husband said he had the best sleep of his life, so I researched it and had read that having both helps alleviate the heat issue. The down topper does take away a bit from the 'memory foam' feeling of the bed, but we have slept directly on just the foam topper (with a sheet of course) and there were no heat issues, though I felt a bit sweaty. It actually was more comfortable to be direct on this than on top of the feather baffle, but as summer approaches I will be placing the baffle back on it. As for the sciatica, with the baffle his back is good, without it (so just with this topper) his back is great, while he does still have to do his physical therapy (for those with back issues or sciatica, those core stregnthening pilates/yoga type exercises that the physical therapist assigns really do help prevent it from worsening and can help it get a bit better if you keep up on them). This has made it so he doesn't hurt too bad when he wakes up and is actually able to *do* his exercises, so it is a big help. For what it's worth I personally can sleep on rocks with no pillow and have no issues, but I don't mind this at all, it isn't 'too soft' or anything.

I bought two sets of King-sized flannel sheets in Natural and White in the spring of 2008. Now it is November and I'm using them. The Natural is actually very yellow and the white is more "natural". I must have received different sheets than the previous reviewers because I found these sheets to be only average and not as fine a quality as others I have. The hem in the top sheet and pillow cases is only 2" whereas the others I have are 4" purchased from a bedding and bath store at roughly the same price. Yellow is my least favorite color in the world and I have given those away but the white-natural sheets coordinate with other flannel bedding. I have found that the 1200 thread count sheets I purchased from Overstock around the same time are warmer and softer. My flannel sheets are not thick and snuggly but only average. They look cheap because of the 2" hem. I would not buy these again nor would I recommend them.

I have owned this mattress topper for over 1.5 years and am only now compelled to write a review after purchasing a more expensive mattress topper from Overstock (http://www.overstock.com/Bedding-Bath/Super-Snooze-5-inch-230-Thread-Count-Baffled-Featherbed-Set/1464042/product.html) that is only slightly more comfortable than this one. This Baffle Box topper adds significant additional comfort to any bed and is a great deal at just ***. The only issue I have with it is that the quills will occasionally pierce through the fabric and poke you; this is lessened if you place a mattress pad on top of the topper, but will still happen. Still, the Baffle Box offers good value for money.

Wow! I wanted to update the daybed in my daughter's room before she came home from college for a visit. Daybed bedding can be difficult to find, overly girl'y and expensive. I found more of a selection at overstock.com than I did through J.C. Penney's, Bed Bath & Beyond and other vendor's websites. There was no comparison when it came to price. I could have easily purchased three of these sets from overstock.com for what I would have paid at another vendor. The previous daybed set we had cost more than twice what the Fresno set cost, it was of a much poorer quality and way too frilly. The comforter fabric is of good quality while the shams and the dust ruffle seem to be of a lesser thread count. Overall, the quality, style and value is superior to the eight-year-old daybed set it replaced. And it arrived exactly when I was told it would.

A year ago, I bought a much less expensive, feather-filled mattress topper from Overstock (http://www.overstock.com/Bedding-Bath/Luxurious-Baffle-Box-230-Thread-Count-White-Goose-Featherbed/462471/product.html). Despite being 45% less expensive than this Super Snooze one, it was almost as comfortable and plush. I decided to get the Super Snooze after I purchased a new, bigger mattress that I could not use the Baffle Box one to cover. I see nothing special about the Super Snooze to justify the extra cost. The *only* relative benefit about the Super Snooze is that the quills are less able to pierce through the fabric and poke you. However, this was not a huge issue with the aforementioned topper, once you place a separate mattress pad on top of it. The Super Snooze also seems to trap heat to a greater extent than the Baffle Box. In summary, I don't think the Super Snooze is worth the price tag.

I purchased this blanket along with other bedding and bath items for a friend at an assisted living facility. Although I have not yet seen this item, I have been told by my friend as well as his caregivers that this (as well as the other items) is of really good quality and very nice looking...and, of course, machine washable...!

we remodeled our master bath and it looked so good i needed to step up the game in my bedroom, starting with the bedding, and wow did I. With this set our room looks very luxurious, top of the line. Love, love , love the Euro shams only wish it came with 3 for the king size. It is very well made, I was impressed with the quality of the stitching and how the pattern is exactly centered on my bed with the same amount of drop on each side. And most of all the generous size covers my huge mattress completely. The colors are absolutely beautiful, and looks just like the picture. Very satisfied, except for that missing 3rd sham.....

I have been frustrated with our bedding situation since I got married three years ago and bought a California King with memory foam mattress and topper, an combination that requires an 18 inch pocket. Fitted sheets don't, well....fit! They haven't adequately surrounded our bed but instead squeeze the corners and rise up on the sides - not attractive. Sheets from Bed, Bath, and Beyond - which were supposed to do the job - just ended up ripping on the corner seams. On top of that, we have two large labs who sleep in our bed with us, which means that our sheet need to be changed more often that I would normally like. Procrastination won over the hassle of fighting with my mattress more often than it should, and that led to the hassle of fighting with my beloved. After one such "disagreement", I went straight to Overstock, read a bunch of reviews on this product that promised deep pockets, and hoped for the best. Well, I they arrived this morning, and instead of driving to the supermarket at the request of my husband for our breakfast fare, I immediately ripped open my new purchases and announced with pride to him that I have conquered our bedding woes!! I oohhed and aaahhed as I felt the fabric (no "thin" at all per the comment of another rater on this site), but what REALLY impressed me was the very substantial, WIDE double-stitched band. Then, the moment of truth....and I was not left in want. Nor more poorly fitting CalKing seheets for this household! All of the reviews here are TRUE. I just ordered three more sets. Best EVER!
