410 Thread Count Supima Cotton Sheets
from Carlsbad, CA,  Nov 24, 2007

I put these sheets and pillow cases directly on my bed when I got them and just loved them then. They were silky and fit beautifully. A week later I washed them and tried to put them on the bed again, only to encounter a major struggle. Even though I always do cold water wash and use the perma press setting for drying, the linens had shrunk! I don't mind the fact that the top sheet shrunk. But it's almost impossible for me to get the bottom sheet onto my mattress now. I have only an 11-inch mattress, and these sheets have deep corners so that isn't the problem. Rather, the sheet corners are now short of the mattress corners. One pillow slip hasn't yet been washed, and I aligned it with the washed one so I could measure the difference. The case that was washed is half an inch less in width than the unwashed one and almost an inch and a quarter shorter than the unwashed one. That will give you an idea of how much these linens shrink when washed. I was going to give these bed linens a glowing review, but I am now very disappointed. .

Not impressed
from North Carolina,  Aug 18, 2011

These sheets are supposed to be PIMA cotton. I washed them as soon as I got them because I wanted to use them on my bed that night. When I took them out of the package, I looked three times just to make sure they were Pima Cotton, because that is what I wanted. And sure enough, on the package, it said Pima Cotton. They didnt feel like Pima Cotton. They felt like a 250 thread count of regular cotton sheets. I was already disappointed, but hoped that when they came out of the dryer, they would live up to my expectations. When they had been washed and dried they still did not feel like Pima Cotton nor where they very soft. I decided to keep them, and just accept my loss. I am disappointed that these sheets are NOT Pima cotton. When I looked at the tag, it just said 100% cotton. The other Pima cotton sheets that I have say 100% Pima Cotton. I wouldn't buy these sheets again.

SATEEN
 from KY,  May 11, 2010

There is no way these sheets are 400tc. They're thin as one ply toilet paper and sateen.

Great sheets
 from Utah,  Nov 25, 2011

Excellent quality. Sheet color was true to description and held well after first wash. I bought the chocolate brown. These are very soft with no pilling so far. Slight shrinking after wash but still fit just fine on my pillow top mattress. Wrinkling was minimal and relaxed very quickly. These wrinkle less than my previous sheets which were Egyptian cotton. Compared to the Egyptian cotton sheets, these sheets are silkier in feel and have more sheen. I've also had Cotton Sateen sheets which had more of a sheen and were a little more silky than the Supima Cotton. The Cotton Sateen just doesn't breath as well as the 100% cotton Supima or Egyptian sheets. So compared to past sheets these are my favorite. They breath well, they have a smooth silky feel, look great and were a great price. I would highly recommend them. Also I recommend reading the buying guide to sheets on Overstock and maybe search the web. Knowing what to expect from different thread counts and the different cottons helped out a lot in deciding which sheets were best for me.

good sheets for the price
from seattle washington,  Oct 15, 2011

These are the cool crisp sheets I love, I line dry them whenever I can. They have shrunk a little since having to use the dryer since the seasons have changed, but not too bad. A very good deal for the price. They are light and smooth, definitely not a sateen. They dry quickly and don't wrinkle badly unless you leave them in the dryer. I've had them for months & washed them many times, they are holding up well.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? I ordered the blue sheets - which on the monitor look sort of green but in fact are a lovely turquoise color.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Good.

Gold Sheet Set
Anonymous  from Ringgold, GA,  Jul 8, 2009

These sheets feel nice but I was disappointed in the color. I searched high and low to try to find bright colored sheets for my daughters recently renovated "big girl" room. I wanted bright sheets that were more than 200-240 TC which was suprisingly hard to find. I bought these sheets and when they arrived the "gold" was a very muted gold color- not like the bright yellow like in the picture. I kept them because they felt nice but am still searching for some bright colored sheets that do not feel like cardboard.

works
from Las Vegas, NV,  Sep 4, 2008

My old fitted sheet was just a bit too small for my bed and now this fitted sheet is a bit too big. I think maybe it is just my bed that is off because I ordered another set from Overstock and that was too big as well. This one, however, isn't so big that it doesn't work. The sheets/fabric is a bit stiff, but I like it. I still enjoy rolling up in the sheet. It has a crisp, fresh feeling to me.

Sheets just ok
 from MN,  Jan 4, 2012

I had been looking for a set of sheets like a set that I got for Christmas some years ago. I like the color and they seem durable (although I've only had them for about a month). Unfortunately, they didn't feel the way I thought they would. Being that they are supima cotton, I thought they would be softer feeling. They feel just like your typical sheet set.

Surprised
 from Oregon,  Dec 20, 2011

I bought a set of these in white, I've washed them twice and they are not soft. That totally surprises me, because supima cotton is supposed to be the softest sheet out there.

Excellent Choice
 from Tennessee,  Nov 17, 2011

I purchased these sheets, because they are Supima (from American grown cotton). My husband is a farmer, so that is a big deal to our family. They are very smooth, I don't think soft accurately describes the texture. We purchased Crimson and the color has held very well, but I did wash them with cold water and vinegar the first two washes. They do bleed in the first few washes, so wash them separately. A major plus to me is they wash easily. My husband has oily skin and other sheets would only come clean after repeated washing with laundry boosters. These sheets take only one wash with no additives. I think they are a great buy and am strongly considering these for our spare room as well.

Just what I was looking for!
from Fork Union, VA,  Oct 8, 2011

I was expecting the sheets to be a tad bit softer. After sleeping on them for a week, I realized the crispness of the sheets and the less cottony feel that I'm used to is perfect for summer sleeping.

Pretty good, but not the best
from Brooklyn, NY,  Aug 19, 2011

I like these sheets and they are very good quality for the price. However, they are not the softest sheets in the world. They are definitely soft enough to sleep on, butI've experienced softer. They fit my 11" memory foam mattress very comfortably and the color is very close to the picture. It's a deep red.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? I bought the red sheets and it is a very close match.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. The sheets are good quality, but are not the softest sheets I have ever slept on.
