We got this for our one year old and have him in the face forward position. He simply loves this car seat, as do we. There is good padding, the belts feel secure and he is super comfortable in it.We wish we had bought another before they were all gone.

I think that is everything fine for having such decent car seat!

Love the car seats - and love the price! Very easy to install forward facing - a little more work for rear facing - but overall an excellent product. Again - price was great!

This car seat WOULD NOT fit rear facing in my 2001 Honda Odyssey (nor my mom's 2008 Ford Focus, nor my friend's 2006 Mazda) - unless the front seat was pushed forward as far as it could go and absolutely upright, no recline.... which obviously negates my 6'4" husband from being a passenger. Frustrating! I had bought two, one for each child. Ended up returning one because it wouldn't fit rear facing. Kept the other one for a spare for my forward facing child when he goes to the babysitter. It's a fine seat if your child sits forward facing. Nearly impossible to fit if rear facing. Check one out in person first before you order -- it's going to cost me $25 to return it! Kind of defeats the purpose of the great deal...

This carseat is very nice for the price. We purchased it as a second seat for our rarely driven SUV. The only issue we have with it is we having very sloped back seats (2001 Xterra). It's very hard to get the correct angle rear facing. We could not get the noodle/towel to stay in place when tightening the seat. The car has a very long belt stalk in the middle seat, which just adds to the difficulty. The issue is raly more with our seats than the Avenue. We gave up trying to use it and will take it to Gradma's to use in her car when we visit. I'm sure it will work very well forward facing, as our little one meets the requirenment, we just want to try and continue rear facing for as long as possible. We ended up purchasing a First Years True Fit and it is much easier to install properly. I still prefer our Britax Marathon over these seats for ease of use. But for the price, this is a nice seat. Just not rear facing with very sloped seats.

I purchased this car seat for my 10 month old son who has out grown his infant car seat. I couldn't find many reviews on this carseat other than from the manufacturer. My son loves it! It's super comfey and he falls asleep in it all the time. The only problem I have with it is since it's rearfacing untill he's a year old, I have to prop it back with a towel to keep it level. I wish this one had some sort of brace in the front for that issue. It has one in the back for the same issue though, but that's for using it forward facing. Overall: AWSOME CARSEAT w/o spending an arm and a leg.

My Daughter was coming to visit and recommended this car seat for use by my grandson while she was here. She is super aware of everything dealing with her son's well being and researches everything thoroughly to include vitamins, food, toys, day care center, etc, etc, etc. She said she was impressed with this car seat and liked it better than the one she uses at home which cost a whole lot more, so I know that it's good. Overstock had the best price and reasonable shipping, thank you so much!
