I bought these because they were the lowest-priced forward-facing car seats rated up to 65lb with the harnesses. In different financial times, I would probably return these because they are very difficult to install (tighten at the base with the LATCH system) and very difficult to tighten once my little one is strapped in. As I set my child in the seat, the cushion also tends to bunch up, which I'm sure isn't comfortable. I do manage to adjust it before strapping him in, but it's a mild annoyance. If cost is the primary driver, these are certainly safe and adequate, and I will continue to use them. They just take a little extra effort. If ease of use is your primary driver, then look elsewhere. Note: I am a mother of 2 and have gone through several car seats because of my son's rapid growth. I have had the opportunity to install and use different brands, and this one has been the MOST difficult I've installed and used - even more difficult than another Safety 1st seat that we used in the past.

I have been very happy with this car seat for my two year old daughter (29 lbs, 36 inches tall). I have not found it to be too wide at all, and that is with a somewhat narrow little girl. It's easy to install. My only problem is that the cup holder is too far away and awkwardly placed behind the arm rest. In her old graco, it was literally within arm's reach, but I don't think she can even reach this one. It's much too far forward. This is a shame because my daughter regularly used her old cup holder to hold snack and/or a drink. Otherwise, fantastic seat.
