Car Seat
from Springfield, MO,  Mar 23, 2010

We bought two of these to go in my parents car so they could take the kids places without having to switch carseats back and forth. These were not to difficult to install as I did them (female) and was able to get them in secure. We bought these based off of the ratings of this site and many others. Overstock had the best price and shipping costs. We are very pleased with these seats as they will last for a long time, and we believe in the 5 pt harness for booster seats based on safety ratings for children in accidents. The only downside is how low they sit in the car, the kids can not see out the windows at 2 and 3 years old.

harness rated to 65 lbs
 from CA,  Jan 14, 2010

Purchased this for a gift to be used by my grandson. Its was one of the few seats rated to use the harness up to a 65 pound weight limit, which tilted the decision in the favor of this seat. My son/daughter-in-law are so far very happy with the seat. The only problem my son initially had was with the mounting brackets which he said were somewhat farther apart than their previous car seat's brackets-- he said if he couldn't line them up with the brackets in the car, he would mount the seat using another method. I havn't checked with him to see how he ended up mounting it, so can't report on that. They feel happy with the quality of the seat and that my grandson should be able to use it for quite a while, as he is almost 3, tall for his age, but not very heavy and the harness straps will be able to adust to his shoulder height as he continues to grow. Looked at many seats and very few accomodate the harness use past 40 pounds, and we all feel the harness is the safest.

love the fabric
from Murphy, TX,  Jan 9, 2010

Great price and the great quality! The fabric was better than I expected from the picture. I feel like my 4 yr old is much safer than in his lap belt booster seat!

Great Car Seat
from Mechanicsburg, PA,  Sep 3, 2009

We've had this car seat for over 5 months and it has worked wonderfully. My son adjusted to it very quickly and calls it his "big boy" seat. It is very comfortable (lots of padding) and cleans very easily. The straps have twisted only a couple of times in all of this time, so it really hasn't been a problem. I would highly recommend this seat - very affordable.

safe safe safe
from Millbrook ny,  Jun 24, 2009

This car seat is a real blessing for children who are 40 lbs. plus and are not yet ready for a typical booster seat. The fire company where this seat was installed said that they wish more people would consider the value of a 5 point harness system after the 40lb. limit. We did not need to have it installed there. We just know the firemen and chose to feel safer. Children can turn around in a second in a booster seat and the next second there is an accident. We love the seat and I feel so much better now when my grandather travel on the highways.

Great car seat for the money
from Miami, FL,  Jun 21, 2009

We have three boys, ages 2, 4 and 6 years old. In my car, we have three radian 80 careseats which will allow a child to be in a 5-point harness until 80lbs (or when they meet the height restriction). However, my husband somtimes picks our 2 and 4 year old up from school. We couldn't afford 2 more radian 80 careseats for his car (they cost $300 each), but both boys weigh more than 40lbs. We have searched and searched for a carseat that allows them to be in a 5-point harness over 40lbs, but one that's not $300+.What I like about this carseat is that it's very large and because of that, I know that my boys will be able to fit in it for another few years...hopefully until they are at least 8 years old. One the flip side, it's very large, which means that in our ford explorer, we can only fit tow of these car seats in the backseat. We can't even fit two of them and a booster seat.Overall, I think it's a great car seat for the price and I know that my boys will be safely strapped in for another few years. I did a lot of research and for the money, this is the car seat to get.

Awesome!
from Yonkers, NY,  Mar 16, 2009

This is a great car seat! I give it a 10 on ease of use. I also love the fact that Overstock had it on sale when I purchased it. Thus, resulting in a deep discount. I love it!

Safty first Apex Cascades
from Dayton, OH,  Feb 6, 2009

Was perfect for an upgrade from old bucket seat. He is 30 lbs and it's a great fit for now and the future. I love that his neck isn't broke if he falls asleep due to the wide supporting weight range. Very Comfortable for many sizes and easy to clean. Love it.

BEST BOOSTER FOR THE MONEY!!! PERIOD!
from Upstate, NY,  Nov 23, 2008

Love this seat! Only other seat on the market that has a 5point harness to 65lbs is DOUBLE the cost. My son slept in this seat on a long overnight drive for nine hours, without making a peep!!! It's large, it's comfy, has a sturdy cup holder, cleans up well...and seems far safer than a standard seatbelt positioned booster w/o a 5point harness.
