I did a lot of shopping around before making this purchase when my . And I have to say, I have been very pleased with this rail. It's extremely sturdy (my sons leans up against it even despite my pleas not to.) The price was great - I comparison shopped quite a bit. The rail is about 3/4 the length of my son's twin bed and is plenty high to prohibit him from falling out, even when sitting up.We mostly leave it up, but when we have company and want to show off his room, we fold it down and it tucks nicely between the mattress and boxspring. Husband installed it without any problems. Would definitely recommend to others. Great purchase.

Using it for a queen bed for my 18 month old. So far so good. Just wish it was more sturdy.

The bed rail works fine. I would advise that you put some kind of protection material under the bed rail supports which are between the mattress and box springs. This will prevent any wear or tear to the box springs.

I wasn't sure about my granddaughter (age 2) accepting this new sleeping arrangement. But I can now say she can sleep in her big-girl bed securely.

This is the third bed rail that I have bought from Regalo. We use this for an adult and it gets a lot of wear and tear. They last 4 yrs and then start to fall apart from use. This is also the only hide away system that I have ever found.

The bed rail did take some time to put together.... love that its long because i find my 22 month old son at the foot of the bed in the morning.... so it puts my mind at ease since hes transitioned from crib to bed. It's difficult to change the sheets... but it is veryyyy sturdy so i can't complain about that!

I purchased this item to help with the transition of my son from a crib to his own twin size bed. He like most other toddlers moves every which way in his sleep and sleeping with mommy and daddy was taking a toll. This product made the transition much easier giving both my husband and I peace of mind that our son wouldn't roll out of his new bed. The length was perfect leaving just a small gap at the foot of the bed along with the entire open end at the foot of his bed to get in and out. It has worked out perfectly. Now we're all getting long nights of rest once again.

My husband and I went back and forth between getting the extra long side rail or two shorter side rails for our 2-year old's bed. I'm very pleased with the purchase. Other reviews will tell you that it is difficult to make the bed and/or tuck in the sheets with this product, but that is true of virtually all toddler side rails. This one is very sturdy, but my son is not a wild sleeper. I do not know how it would hold up to a thrashy sleeper. The construction is quality, and it is easy to set up, take down if you need to, and install beneath the mattress. Overall, this is a great product if you want the extra long rail versus the shorter rail.

We love this rail. We wanted an extra long rail because our son isn't even 2 years old yet, plus he's a wild sleeper! It's perfect. It's very strong and sturdy. It's also easy to slide under the mattress when we need to hide it. We are very pleased!

I bought this bed rail for our toddler's first Big Boy Bed. It was easy to put together( my 2 year old literaly helped me), and is very sturdy. Would absolutly purchase again.

This works good so far, supports our son and he stays in bed all night until we come and get him in the morning.

Assembly was very easy and it's really sturdy. It is about as long as the twin bed except for the pillow and we won't worry that our grandson will fall out.

This product is very secure once up. I would say that it seems flimsey when you are transitioning it to slide under the mattress but that is not representative of it's function. It is also a little cumbersome to slide it under the mattress. Also, I worry about the mattress itself because the metal support posts seem like they may eventually puncture the box spring fabric (so far I have not experienced that nor inspected too closely). But, as said, it is sturdy once in position and not too difficult to set up in the beginning.

I only gave this 4 stars because putting it together was a pain. We do have a box spring and its working great and loved the price compared to the stores in NJ.

The weight of the mattress alone is not enough to keep the whole assembly tight when folded. If you've got it pulled tight enough to be solid when it's raised, when you lower it, the entire thing slacks... then you've gotta loosen the straps before raising it again. It really needs a frame under the bed, not simply relying on the straps... so I built one. I went to Home Depot and got some 6foot long 1x2's and screwed them together into a simply square frame, and used zip ties to attach the mattress hooks and the legs of the rail. Now the entire assembly is rock-solid and the added thickness of the wood makes sliding the rail underneath a snap. It's tough to imagine why the company didn't go the extra distance on this product. It kinda feels like they got about 70% done with the product and said "It's good enough, people with kids will buy anything". And since from the outside of the box, you can't really tell how the thing works, you don't know how "incomplete" it is until you get it home and don't want to bother taking it back. As it comes out of the box, I'd give it a 2.5 for the crappy assembly instructions and rough final product... so a 2. If the instructions were better and it had a frame, it would be a 5star for sure.

This rail is perfectly! It's exactly what I needed and was looking for. I will be buying a second one.

this is a great safety rail. My grandson is 2 and he is moving out of the crib into his bed and this covered the entire toddler bed and it is soft and collapsible so if we have guests it can be cropped down and slid under the mattress.. i would buy this again.. it is GREAT...
