These are very sturdy. I was expecting just 2 one-sided rails, but these actually are meant to be attached to each other under the bed. We are using each one on different beds, but they still work fine. There are just straps dangling under the bed that we don't use. I'm not sure how they differ from one-sided bed rails because I haven't seen the one-sided type.

Good product--a little bigger and heavier and more complicated than the old fashioned kind that was just two arms that unfolded and slipped under the mattress. But very functional.
I was looking for a product that would fit a queen sized bed as well as a pull out twin sofa bed. This product did just that. I am very pleased with my purchase.
- How accurate was the sizing? I am able to use the rails on different size beds.

I chose this due to the reviews. I moved my 2 year old into her twin trundle bed on her birthday. I was a bit concerned she would be too young and always get out of her bed, but the double bed rail gives her the security of her crib. She still calls for us to get her out of bed in the morning. She hasn't tried to crawl over the rails or hang off of them. I'm sure you could bed them if you put a lot of weight on them, but I find them sturdy enough for the job. It is a pain in the butt to make her bed. the sheets and blankets dont look nice because they dont hange over the sides, but I don't really care; her safety is what is important. I would reccommend this product if you don't want their bed against the wall.

Once it was put together its good. I wouldn't buy again though because the directions very unclear and frustrating.
I have several different makes of bed rails and these are best, in my opinion. secure. takes a little time to assemble.
This was so difficult to put together. Although sturdy once installed, some of the metal parts were slightly bent, or would bend easy, making it almost impossible to put together at times. For example, I finally just hammered the drop down latch in, because it would not lock into place. Now it's going nowhere, but I wasn't planning on dropping it down anyway. The rails look fine on the bed, but they're almost too low for a mattress of regular thickness. I couldn't put the foam topper I bought on the mattress, because with that, my toddler can almost roll right over the rails. That's something I didn't even think about when I was shopping for rails.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Sturdy but metal slightly bent in places.

These rails provide a peace of mind for a mother... The quality of the rails are average yet they do what they are intended for. Once it was set up and on the bed I am happy that I can leave my toddler in his bed without the possibility of him falling out.

Was looking at the bed rails in the some of the big box stores and happen to find these which were cheaper and had the hide away feather. All in all great value for the money. Would highly recommend.

Our 2 year old was moving up to a "big girl" bed. We only needed one as the bed is against the wall. We've used the other rail for when we go on vacations. They fold flat and are easy to take with us. Great product!

Easy to use. Sturdy frame. Great for toddlers. Would recommend.
The bed rails are excellent once you figure out how to put them together! The directions are not as clear as they could be but once I got the first one done the second one was easy. Fits the bed snugly and is great since my boys jump all over everything they don't move or bend. My 2 year old loves his new big boy bed and I don't have to worry he will roll off or get stuck between the mattress and the wall:)
It works well. It would not take me too much time to install it if they could make the instruction more clearer.
Although we haven't utilized these rails yet (bed isn't here yet), we opened the package to find a solidly made rail which will be put to good use by our almost 3 year old granddaughter.
It is quite practical. The hideaway is cumbersome, and we are not using it. I would not see much difference if buying a cheaper model without this feature.
i love the look and the durability of the product. however, i have had a hard time sliding it under the mattress. it just isn't as smooth and easy a process as i'd hoped it would be. but it does keep my little girl safe in her bed at night, so i'm happy with it overall.
I love these bed rails. They have made the transition into a big girl bed so easy for my daughter. We switched from a crib to a full size bed with double bed rails and can now relax when she is in bed. The bed rails are very durable, especially as she is jumping on the bed and against the rails. Also, they are very easy to fold down while changing the sheets - all it takes is a pull of a knob and the rails are down.
This bed rail is an average railing. It does not offer additional height protection like you may think. I had a Safety First one that was just as high. The picture makes it appear higher but if you look again, it does not go any higher than any other bed rail that does not offer additional height. I tried it in my king size bed and it barely stuck up above the mattress. I don't like the way it folds underneath the mattress for hideaway- too much of a pain to fold it down and under. Would have preferred for it to just hang down on the sides like my friend's rails. This rail does the job (preventing my child from falling out of her twin bed) but I chose this railing for the additional height and it really isn't any higher. I prefer the ***** one we replaced. It was more sturdy too.
Not sure if they fixed the directions as I did not have a problem following them, but I did have a problem trying to get the bottom pole on the side rails into position. I had to have my contractor use a lot of force to put them in place and he said "how do they expect anyone to do that?". I had some difficulty pushing the side rails under the bed because the sheets and blankets were blocking the the track for the sliding rail. If I had been in a hurry to push the rails in, I would have torn the bedding. The rails fit under the bed and connects with the another side via nylon cords. The rails lift the mattress slightly which makes me wonder if over time our mattress will be damaged? I plan on leaving these on the bed no more than 6 months. Lastly, my almost 3yr old rolled over the rail her first night in her big girl bed . Her mattress (King Koil chemical free) is 9" which is not that high when compared to other brands. If I could I would have put one side of her bed against the wall and just purchased 1 side rail instead of these. Good price from O, but not the greatest purchase.
The instructions for these are not the most clearly written. The assembly process wasn't as smooth as we had hoped either. We found it a little difficult to get the the last pole into the slot when assembling the side rail portions. The fabric is really tight and doesn't have much give so it really took some effort. This is a bit of a negative, but in the end really a positive. I like that the fabric is tight once assembled so my child will not become trapped between the mattress and the rail fabric. Once we got everything put together and in place, we were really pleased with these rails. We used another brand with our older son and the plastic was cheap and broke after it got leaned on to much. I don't see that happening with these rails. They are well made and once you get the hang of opening the sides and sliding them in the track under the mattress, they are a breeze to use. We are very happy with this product. The only reason we gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the assembly / instructions issue.
