My son vomited all over the crib during the night, and the pool of vomit was stopped by the mattress protector! By the way, our crib mattress was the cheapest IKEA crib mattress and although the corners did bend upwards during the fitting (after going through the wash and dry), but once I lay the mattress in the crib and push down the sides, the mattress stayed flat. We just ordered another one now that we are so satisfied with the quality!
I purchased the crib pebbletex mattress pad for my grandson's bed when he visits. What a beautiful product! The quality and feel to the product is superior. Will certainly look for other mattress pads from this company. LOVE THE PEBBLETEX!
I was so sad that this cover did not work. In fact, I was so confident due to the reviews and quality of the product that I went ahead and washed it (according to the directions) prior to putting it on the crib mattress. We have a new middle of the line IKEA crib mattress, nothing fancy or overstuffed. It took me 10 minutes to get the cover on due to it being so tight, which killed my 37 week pregnant back. Once I laid the mattress back down in place, all four corners pulled up leaving big gaps in the corners of the crib and looking quite ridiculous. Major bummer! It is great quality though, which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of just 1.
The matress cover was very nice and heavy. It really should last a long time.
