Ladybug Parade 12-piece Crib Bedding Set

I purchased this bedding and when I got it fell in love with the print and color of the fabric. It is as cute as everyone says but I decided to wash the entire bedding as instructed in cold water and by itself so as to not ruin it. Sad to say the red piping on the fabric and ladybugs ended up running into the white of the fabric. I don't know if I got a bad set but I was very disappointed and am not sure if I want to order it again and take another risk or if I should go out and find something different. I have to go with a ladybug theme because I have already gotten a ton of things to go with this. If you purchase this item I would suggest you take it to a dry cleaner and warn them of the color running.

For the price, this set is ok for a second child when you are trying to save money. However, after the first washing, the bumper pad shrank and the red on the ladybugs on the quilt ran onto the white. Also, you absolutely MUST iron everything after washing. You really can't get by without ironing everything. As I said, it's ok for the price, but I'd be willing to spend a bit more and not have to deal with shrinking, running colors or ironing everything.

This crib set is so cute in person. It is well made and nicely detailed. Crib skirt and window treatment are plain but would be adorable with an added monogram or ladybug.

First, know that everything in the picture will not be in the set (for example the mobile & the lampshade). To some degree that was my fault for not being thorough enough. Second, the overall quality of the material is not very good. It's a rather coarse fabric -- not worth the price (and I had an extra 10% discount). Also, the design is also not as colorful overall in real life as it appears in the picture. Finally, this is the kind of thing you need to be very careful ordering over the internet. It was shipped to me for $1 as an advertised special rate. Well, I got the product, didn't like it and wanted to return it. The cheepest way to ship back was by regular parcel post (USPS) at a cost of $18 and change! Ouch! Second, there is the Overstock "restocking fee" of $4.95. After complaining they gave me a credit on my Overstock account for the $4.95. But that's not exactly getting my money back. At any rate, be careful. I had seen some lady bug sets in stores and thought this would be comparable in quality at a little better price. It is not. It's a cheaply made product at just below premium prices.
