We purchased this over 7 years ago when our daughter was 9 months old. We bought it for a trip for Florida & it worked like a charm. It has pockets on the outside to fill with sand (acts as an anchor), it kept her out of the sand & a nice play/nap area, and was just enough room for me to lay down & nurse her when needed. It's lightweight & folds easily. Better yet, it has held up well through the years. About a year ago, one of the 'wires' broke, but it's still fully functional. We loaned it to another couple to take to he beach with their infant this year & they loved it too.
This item is fine except for the fact that the parts (thin fiberboard) that keep it upright are garbage and break very easily. I am now forced to actively find replacement affordable bendable fiberglass poles to replace them. Hopefully I can find something that won't cost more than the item in the first place.
I ordered the Kel-Gar Sun Dome Play Tent actually for my daughters cat! We had my nieces tent she had used (alot!) for her babies and we wanted to take her cat ouside our cabin but the cat had never been let outside before, this seemed like a good solution. It was we put cat toys in the tent and brought her out to sit with us it work beautifully. Then we took it inside and left the opening unzipped and the cat had a grand time running into the tent and sliding a bit then hanging out there observing all but protected. I had to order her one for her college house as she has 6 roomates and the cat had escaped before but she loved that tent and was happy to hang out there, it also held up beautifully no shredding of materials! We are very pleased with this product and it was priced well.
It was a good price, but you get what you pay for! The support poles broke during the first use! An absolute waste of money! Overstock shouldn't carry such poor quality items!
