Fisher-Price Brentwood High Chair

I had read reviews of this chair on Amazon - as there were no reviews yet on Overstock, and many were leading me away from this chair due to it's size, weight and visual imperfections in the wood. I took a chance on it because it was more aesthetically pleasing to the eye than the run of the mill highchairs that you see in every store. I rolled the dice and won with this purchase! Yes, the footprint on this chair is larger than normal, but the wood at the base bends in an arch in toward the center of the chair, which enables you to sit closer to the chair when feeding. The seat is roomy and will allow for growth. The fabric is very contemporary and will fit into a modern decor - no fru-fru cutsie animals on this chair. It wipes clean with a damp cloth. The tray has 2 latches, but it's easy to "hook" the latch on one side and snap it secure with one hand on the other side. When you take the tray off, there is a "snack tray" which is stationary, so there is no fear of your child falling out when you take the tray off. There are safety harnesses, but it feels very secure without them, and I view them as an unnecessary item with this chair. There were no defects in the wood or other parts. It looks amazing when assembled. It took me about 35 minutes to assemble the chair, and only used the one tool that was provided by the manufacturer. The parts were color coded so that it was easy to figure out which parts went into which hole and going in the right direction. All the screws were included, no missing parts. It feels very sturdy and safe. I would recommend this chair for anyone that wants to have one that is out of the ordinary and wants a it to look a little more "grown up" in the diningroom.
