I really shopped around, having both a German short haired pointer and a toddler. I needed a wall mount gate for the top of a full flight of stairs, The duragate has seemed to be an excellent choice. Sturdy. Easily operated by adults but not little ones. No "cross bars" to facilitate climbing by my toddler. I'm very glad I made this purchase!
